Thermal Analysis of Organic Light Emitting Diodes Based on Basic Heat Transfer Theory

We investigate the thermal characteristics of standard organic light-emitting diodes （OLEDs） using a simple and clear 1D thermal model based on the basic heat transfer theory. The thermal model can accurately estimate the device temperature, which is linearly with electrical input power. The simulation results show that there is almost no temperature gradient within the OLED device working under steady state conditions. Furthermore, thermal analysis simulation results show that the surface properties （convective heat transfer coetficient and surface emissivity） of the substrate or cathode can significantly affect the temperature distribution of the OLED.

Philosophical Foundations of Business Ethics： French Philosophy and Social Theory in Relation to Ethics and Philosophy of Management

This article gives an overview of my book French Philosophy and Social Theory. A Perspective for Ethics and Philosophy of Management, published by Springer 2014. As an extension of my earlier work on French philosophy, this book provides an application of important concepts from contemporary French philosophy to business ethics and the ethics of organizations. Although the book covers a wide range of philosophers and philosophical movements, there is a core and deep unity of the book. This is the demonstration of how the conceptual resources of contemporary French philosophy from the early 20th Century to the present day can be applied to give us new perspectives on business ethics and the ethics of organizations.

Analysis of China's sporting products industry based on the SCP framework

The SCP framework is a classical theory of industrial organization,which refers to the market structure,market conduct and market performance.This analysis is based on the SCP framework,choosing the current sporting products industry as object.Study found that China's sporting products industry's geographical layout has a"strong in South and East,weak in North and West"regional development trend,the proportion of abovedesignated enterprises is relatively low,rate of market concentration is not high,product homogenization remain quite serious.With high-speed technological progress and rapid scientific and technological updates,in the future,the sporting products industry will be reorganized according to the subdivision industries,getting rid of homogenization of competition and meeting the needs of consumers in smart wearable,health monitoring and other aspects.

Case Study on Hybrid Business Model： KT＇s Olleh TV Skylife

This paper aims to analyze a case of a telecom operator, Korea Telecom （KT）＇s hybrid business model---Olleh TV Skylife （OTS）. This case is KT＇s new hybrid network and set-top-box （STB） which combines Internet Protocol TV （IPTV） with Direct-To-Home （DTH） satellite reception and business. It serves now as a guideline to better understanding hybrid consumer behavior and their needs. This paper shows how KT＇s OTS has been formulated as a new business model, how it has changed the market structure, and how it has experienced a successful market performance with new business idea and innovative technology. Before analyzing this case, it firstly discusses about the technological situation and the industrial organization （IO） theory. After this, it shows the previous service offerings of cable TV, satellite TV, and IPTV, before launching OTS and shows that the mixed service portfolio of satellite TV and IPTV is the perfect service combination to beat the cable TV in terms of hybrid consumer needs. After explanation about OTS, this paper verifies whether this hybrid business model really changes market and generates a good market performance and operating synergy with KT＇s other businesses of content, network, and marketing. In conclusion, this paper expects future growth potential of OTS and KT Skylife in terms of subscription fee, home shopping, and advertising sales based on the total subscriber base.

Re-interpretation of the classical geopolitical theories in a critical geopolitical perspective

Struggling for supremacy between great powers and the rise or fall and regime change of great powers are all subject to the Geopolitical Law. Geographers should keep in step with the times, accurately grasp the national interests, and seize the opportunity to contribute to the great rejuvenation of our nation. However, due to lack of criticism on the history and philosophy of geopolitics, we can neither accurately understand the geopolitical theory, nor effectively put the geopolitical theory into practice. This paper introduces the development of critical geopolitics, summarizes the three characteristics of critical geopolitics, and interprets the four classical geopolitical theories accordingly. In order to simplify the interpretation process, this paper firstly presents an analytical framework for interpretation of four classical geopolitical theories; secondly, focuses on interpretation of "The Geographical Pivot of History" put forward by Mackinder according to the analytical framework; finally, critically summarizes the four classical geopolitical theories. Through the critical interpretation, this paper draws a conclusion that there are the scientific, hypothetical and conceptual classical geopolitical theories. The construction of classical geopolitical theories is based on the international geopolitical structure, spatial distribution of national interests and inter-state spatial conflict, in order to show the identity of theoretical constructor, so as to reflect the historicality, sociality, situationality and geographical knowledge – power structure of geopolitical theories.

THE EMERGING CHALLENGE:THE VALIDITY OF COMPUTATIONAL ORGANIZATION MODEL AND METHODOLOGY

The validity of the computational organization model is a necessary condition and also poses a bottleneck in computational organization theory development.Established on the frontline of computational organization theory,this paper provides an overall discussion on the difficulties in validation and validation methodology of the computational organization model.First,different from natural engineering system model,and also exceeding the traditional empirical method,the computational organization model is faced with various subjective and objective difficulties during the validation progress;second,in developing the situational validation methodology based on relationships among problem field,modeling purpose and referents,it is important for the computational organization model that the validation is conducted according to certain degree;third,the establishment of verification,validation and accreditation approach(VV&A),which is different from the natural engineering system,is an irresistible trend for future development of the computational organization model.Model validation should be focused on concept validation,operation validation,and data validation,as well as the principle of iterative validation approach and such validation should be conducted throughout the modeling process;finally,the validation of computational organization model should be the process to enhance people’s confidence in the model.From the perspective of review,if the model is able to pass through all the validation tests,it is helpful for a better understanding of the model’s ability,limitation and applicability.In this case,research from interdisciplinary experts is required urgently.
