Two new species of the genus Sinopodisma(Orthoptera:Acridoidea:Catantopidae:Podisminae) from China

Two new species of the genus Sinopodisma Chang, 1940 from Guizhou, China are described in this paper. S. xiai sp. nov. is similar to S. keloggii （Chang, 1940）, but differs from the latter by the length of a segment in antennae 2.5 times width in the middle part, median keel ofpronotum distinct, cercus of male very wide at basal part, its maximum width 2.2 times width of middle part and ancorae of epiphallus oblique inward, lower margin straight. S. fanjingshana sp. nov. is similar to S. wulingshana Peng ＆ Fu, 1992, but differs from the latter in hind margin of pronotum with small hollow slightly in the middle, tegmina of male extending over the hind margin of first abdominal tergum distinctly, interspace of mesosternum narrow at the middle in male, ancorae of epiphallus lower than anterior projection, length of subgenital plate 1.5 times width in female. Type specimens are deposited in the Natural Museum of Hebei University, Baoding, Hebei, China.

Taxonomic notes on Anthomedusae (Cnidaria： Hydrozoa： Hydroidomedusa) from the south-central South China Sea, with a new genus and four new species

This study describes and illustrates four new species Laticanna nanhaiensis Xu, Huang and Wang, gen. nov. and sp. nov., Protiaropsis gemmifera Xu, Huang and Du, sp. nov., Merga nanhaiensis Xu, Huang and Guo, sp. nov. and Rhabdoon apiciloculus Xu, Huang and Du, sp. nov. based on specimens from the south-central South China Sea. Additionally, keys to known genera of family Bythotiaridae and species of genera Protiaropsis, Merga, and Rhabdoon are described. All type specimens are deposited in the South China Sea Fisheries Research Institute, Chinese Academy of Fishery Science.

One new genus and three new species of wingless grasshoppers from Xizang,China(Orthoptera:Acridoidea)

One new genus and three new species of wingless grasshoppers, i.e, Pseudozubovskia gen. nov., Pseudozubovskia xizangensis sp. nov., Eokingdonella gongbugyanda Sla. nov., Dysanema magna sp. nov. are described. The type specimens are deposited in the Institute of Zoology, Shaanxi Normal University.

A New Cockroach Genus of the Family Fuziidae from Northeastern China(Insecta:Blattida)

A new genus and two new species of fossil Fuziidae are described and illustrated： Parvifuzia gen. nov., P. marsa sp. nov. and P. brava sp. nov.. Both species were collected from the Middle Jurassic Jiulongshan, Formation of Daohugou, Inner Mongolia of China. In conjunction with Fuzia Vr（s）ansk（y）,Liang et Ren, 2009, the present findings allow us to demonstrate that members of the family were morphologically diverse, with body length ranging from medium （17 mm） in Fuzia to small （9.7 mm） in the present genus. Wing venation of F. dadao is complicated, but simple in the present species, and apex of male＇s cerci are sharp and forceps-like in F. dadao, but strongly curved inward and round in the new genus.

A new species and a new combination of Arcypteridae from China (Orthoptera: Acridoidea)

A new species, Chorthippus（Altichorthippus） qixingtaiensis sp. nov. from China is described in this paper. The new species is similar to C.（A.） changtunensis Yin, 1984, but different by： prozona longer than metazoan, maximum width of medial area of tegmen about 2 times as maximum width of cubital area in male, base of hind femur without dark sloping stripe on inner side and length of interspace of mesosterum shorter than minimum width in female. A new combination Magaulacobothrus tianshanensis（Zheng, Ma ＆ Ren, 2009） comb. nov. is reported. The type specimens are deposited in the College of Plant Protection, Shandong Agricultural University, Taian, Shandong, China.

Two new species of grasshopper from China(Orthoptera: Pyrgomorphidae)

The genus Chlorizeina Brunner von Wattenwyl, 1893 is firstly recorded for China. Two new species, Chlorizeina yunnana sp. nov. and Tagasta nigritibia sp. nov. are reported from China. All specimens are deposited in the Biological Science Museum, Dali University （BMDU）.

New Mesozoic Mesopsychidae (Mecoptera) from Northeastern China

The Mesozoic family Mesopsychidae Tillyard, 1917 presently consists of seven described genera and 13 species from the mid-Triassic to the Early Cretaceous of Australia, South Africa and Eurasia. In the present paper one new genus and three new species of fossil mesopsychids are described that add significant distributional and stratigraphic extensions to the family. This finding documents the first formal record of fossil Mesopsychidae in China. Both Lichnomesopsyche gloriae gen. et sp. nov. and L. daohugouensis gen. et sp. nov. were found from the Middle Jurassic Jiulongshan Formation of Inner Mongolia, whereas Vitimopsyche kozlovi sp. nov., of mid Early Cretaceous age, was collected from the Jehol Biota of northern Hebei Province. This new, wellpreserved material from China reveals complete and previously unknown body features, including head, antennae, mouthparts, legs and abdomen. The delicate and long proboscides of these new taxa indicate that they were feeding on externally exposed, nutrient-rich fluids of gymnospermous ovulate fructifications, and incapable of piercing surface epidermis - attributable principally to the absence of stylets. These proboscides originated, perhaps multiply, among basal Mecoptera and are functionally and structurally convergent with equivalent mouthparts borne by fossil and extant Diptera, Lepidoptera, Neuroptera and Coleoptera.

New Fossil Xyelidae(Insecta,Hymenoptera) from the Yixian Formation of Western Liaoning,China

In this paper one new genus and two new species,Brachyoxyela brevinodia sp.nov.and Brachyoxyela gracilenta sp.nov.,in the subfamily Macroxyehnae of the family Xyelidae,are described and illustrated.The specimens were collected from the Yixian Formation,the Upper Jurassic to Lower Cretaceous,of Beipiao City,Liaoning Province,northeastern China.The new genus is established based on the characters that vein Sc meets R only beyond origin of Rs,third antennal segment is almost equal in length to the rest flagellomeres combined,terminal flagellomeres increasingly shortened toward apex,and vein 2r-rs inclined toward the apex of wing.

Taxonomical notes on the family Ptilocodiidae (Anthomedusae) from the central and southern of South China Sea, with a new genus and a new species

This study reviews the Ptilocodiidae from South China Sea, including three species. The diagnoses of the family and each genus are provided. A new genus, Tregouboviopsis Guo, Xu ＆ Huang, gen. nov. is erected, based on the monotypy, Tregouboviopsis perradialis （Xu, Huang ＆ Du, 2012） comb. nov., which is transferred from the genus Tregoubovia. A free eumedusoid of Hydrichthella ocellata Xu, Huang ＆ Wang, sp. nov. is described in the present paper. A key to known genera of family Ptilocodiidae is presented. All type specimens are deposited in the South China Sea Fisheries Research Institute, Chinese Academy of Fishery Science.

A new genus and four new species of Eriophyidae from China(Acari: Eriophyoidea)

One new genus and four new species of eriophyoid mites from Hainan, China are described and illustrated in this paper： Dicoxiseta Wang, Tan ＆ Yang, gem nov., D. litsea Wang, Tan ＆ Yang, sp. nov. infesting Litsea monopetala （Roxb.） Pers. （Lauraceae）, Eriophyes casearius Wang, Yang ＆ Tan, sp. nov. infesting Casearia glomerata Roxb. （Flacourtiaceae）, Phyllocoptruta alstonia Wang, Gu ＆ Tan, sp. nov. infesting Alstonia scholaris （L.） R. Br. （Apocynaceae） and Aculus paederius Wang, Gu ＆ Tan, sp. nov. infesting Paederia scandens （Lour.） Merr. （Rubiaceae）. Tegolophus artocarpi Keifer, 1977 is newly recorded from China. E. casearius Wang, Yang ＆ Tan, sp. nov. distorts severely new foliage of its host plant. Three species, P. alstonia Wang, Gu ＆ Tan, sp. nov., A. paederius Wang, Gu ＆ Tan, sp. nov. and T. artocarpi, cause rust on the undersurfaces of host plants, while D. litsea Wang, Tan ＆ Yang, sp. nov. is a vagrant on the undersurface of host plant leaves, without visible symptom.

A new species representing a new record genus Neoatractides from China(Acari: Hydrachnidia: Torrenticolidae)

A new species, Neoatractides（Heteratractides） proclusterosetus sp. nov., is described and illustrated in detail, which represents a new recorded genus Neoatractides Lundblad, 1941 and subgenus Heteratractides Lundblad, 1941 from China. The diagnosis of the subgenus Heteratractides is provided. The new species can be distinguished from other species by the dorsal shield consisting of two pairs of small dorsal platelets and a large dorsal plate. A key to the known species worldwide of the subgenus is provided. The type specimen is kept in the Institute of Entomology, Guizhou University, Guiyang, P. R. China（GUGC）.

Taxonomic notes on Hydroidomedusae (Cnidaria) from the South China Sea Ⅳ: Family Bougainvilliidae (Anthomedusae)

This study reviews all genera and species belonging to the family Bougainvilliidae from the South China Sea. The Nubiella atentaculata Xu and Huang, 2004 formerly included in the genus Nubiella, now is transferred to a new genus Paranubiella and included in the Bougainvilliidae as Paranubiella atentaculata （Xu and Huang, 2004） n. comb.. Two new species, Paranubiella nanhaiensis Xu, Huang and Guo, sp. nov. and Nubiella apapillaris Xu, Huang and Guo, sp. nov. from the South China Sea are described and illustrated in the present paper. In addition, the key to known genera of family Bougainvilliidae and species of genus Nubiella are described. Other data are briefly summarized to the list of species presented on the family Bougainvilliidae in the South China Sea. The type species were deposited at the Third Institute of Oceanography, State Oceanic Administration.

Taxonomic notes on Hydroidomedusae (Cnidaria) from the South China Sea Ⅴ: Families Laodiceidae, Lovenellidae,Malagazziidae, and Mitrocomidae (Leptomedusae)

This study reviews all species belonging to the families Laodiceidae, Lovenellidae, Malagazziidae, and Mitrocomidae in the South China Sea. Two new species, Eucheilota carinata sp. nov. and Halopsis nanhaiensis sp. nov., are described and illustrated. One genus, Staurostorna, and two species, Staurostorna sp. and Octophialueiurn aphrodite （Bigelow, 1928）, are first recorded in China seas. The key to all medusa genera and species of Lovenellidae and Malagazziidae are presented. Other data are briefly summarized to the list and distribution of species presented on the family Laodiceidae, Lovenellidae, Malagazziidae and Mitrocomidae in the South China Sea. The type specimens are deposited in the Third Institute of Oceanography, State Oceanic Administration, China.

New fossil mayflies （Insecta： Ephemeroptera） from the Middle Jurassic of Daohugou, Inner Mongolia, China

Abstract Jurassonurus amoenus, a new genus and species of Siphlonuridae s. I. is described from the Middle Jurassic Jiulongshan Formation of the Daohugou Village, Shantou Township, Ningcheng County, Inner Mongolia, China. The new species is estab- lished by more than 20 imago and subimago specimens in relatively good condition. Detailed description and illustration of the specimens along with a review of fossil Siphlonuridae s. I. are given. Comparing with two known dominant nymph species Fuyous gregarious Zhang and Kluge, 2007 and Shantous lacustri Zhang and Kluge, 2007 from the same locality, we could not find any relationship among them. The new species is another dominant species in Daohugou beds.

New Genus of the Subfamily Geotrupinae (Coleoptera:Scarabaeoidea:Geotrupindae) from the Jehol Biota

Parageotrupes incanus gen. et sp. nov. （Scarabaeoidea： Geotrupidae： Geotrupinae） is described and illustrated from the Yixian Formation of western Liaoning province, China.

Contribution to the knowledge of Chinese PhasmatodeaⅪ:New taxa and new nomenclature of Medaurini(Phasmatidae:Clitumninae)from China

This paper describes two new genera and two new species,Megacnipsomorpha gen nov.,Parapachymorpha granulata sp.nov.,Parapachymorpha parvicorne sp.nov.,and Spinoparapachymorpha gen nov.,from Medaurini of China.

记述在四川青城山及大凉山地区采到的直翅目昆虫 1新属 3新种 ,即蚱科Tetrigidae的金沙江蚱Tetrixjinshajiangensissp .nov .,斑腿蝗科Catantopidae的平尾蝗属Platycercacrisgen .nov .,凉山平尾蝗Platycercacrisliangshanensissp .nov .及突角稻蝗Oxyaprominenangulasp .nov .并附我国稻蝗属已知种检索表。模式标本保存于陕西师范大学动物研究所标本室。
