Reform of Hospitality English Teaching Based on the Educational Concept of Outcome-Based Education(OBE)

The Outcome-Based Education(OBE)educational concept,proposed by renowned American educator Spady,aims to guide students in mastering learning laws and ultimately achieving expected learning outcomes.The application of OBE educational concept in Hospitality English curriculum not only can effectively enhance the learning effect but also promote the reform of the Hospitality English curriculum,thus improving students’learning enthusiasm.Therefore,taking the Hospitality English curriculum as an example,this paper points out the existing problems in the teaching of this course and suggests the reform measures based on the OBE teaching concept,hoping to provide guidelines for related educational work.

Teaching Reform and Practice of Embedded System Design Based on Outcome-Based Education

Embedded system design is the core course of the telecommunication major in engineering universities,which combines software and hardware through embedded development boards.Aiming at the problems existing in traditional teaching,this paper proposes curriculum teaching reform based on the outcome-based education(OBE)concept,including determining course objectives,reforming teaching modes and methods,and improving the curriculum assessment and evaluation system.After two semesters of practice,this method not only enhances students’learning initiative but also improves teaching quality.

Exploration of Practice Teaching Reform Based on Outcome-Based Education Concept:Taking Environmental Design Major as an Example

The concept of OBE(outcome-based education)is more focused on designing and implementing teaching activities around expected learning outcomes than the traditional teaching model and enhancing the quality of education through clear and measurable learning outcomes,which has led to profound changes in the field of education.However,environmental design practice teaching faces a series of challenges in the implementation of the OBE concept,including the complexity of the assessment system,personalized learning and creative learning,and over-reliance on quantitative assessment.Therefore,in order to further deepen the professionalization of the OBE concept,we have conducted research on the design education practice models at home and abroad,explored the practice teaching models and their applications such as project system,studio model,practical internships,and technology-driven interdisciplinary integration,and took the practice innovative teaching models of Stanford d.school and Rhode Island School of Design(RISD)as examples to explore the characteristics of the curricula,cultivation modes,and the development of the environmental design professional practice teaching model.The characteristics of OBE and RISD are discussed to provide a global vision and local contextual reference for the practice teaching reform of environmental design majors.

Research on the Teaching Design of Advanced Mathematics Courses Based on Outcome-Based Education Concept

This paper first analyzes the characteristics and current situation of the Advanced Mathematics course;secondly,it proposes a teaching model that integrates the outcome-based education(OBE)philosophy and blended teaching method,reorganizing the teaching objectives,teaching content,and assessment evaluation process of the Advanced Mathematics course;lastly,through practice,it is proved that this approach can effectively improve students’mastery of course content,enhance students’ability to apply mathematical knowledge,and strengthen teaching effectiveness.

Coaching继续教育模式在提升临床药师思维认知中的实践及效果评价

自2023年起,我院临床药师采用继教课程表与Coaching相结合的本土化继教模式。辅导员融合每位临床药师对专科知识及未来职业发展规划的需求制定继教课程表,辅导员向临床药师一对一反馈继教绩效时,通过Coaching的指导引导其提升思维认知,找到低分项内在原因并驱动其付诸于行动。该模式下,我院临床药师思维认知水平提高,药事服务质量大幅提升。

Use of cognitive-behavioral career coaching to reduce work anxiety and depression in public employees

BACKGROUND Public employees worldwide are increasingly concerned about work anxiety and depression.Cognitive-behavioral career coaching has emerged as a promising strategy for addressing these mental health disorders,which can negatively impact on a person's overall well-being and performance.AIM To examine whether cognitive-behavioral career coaching reduces work anxiety and depression among Nigerian public employees.METHODS A total of 120 public employees(n=60)suffering from severe anxiety and depression were randomly assigned to the treatment or control groups in this study.Cognitive behavioral coaching was provided twice a week to those in the treatment group,whereas no treatment was given to those in the control group.As part of the study,the Hamilton Anxiety Rating Scales and Beck Depression Inventory were used to collect data.RESULTS Analysis of covariance of the data from participants indicates a significant effect of cognitive-behavioral career coaching on work anxiety and depression.CONCLUSION Insights into the underlying mechanisms by which cognitive behavior career coaching exerts its effects have been gained from this study.Also,the study has gathered valuable data that can inform future practice and guide the development of strategies for supporting mental health at work.

Synthetic Evaluation of Contractor's Performance in Outcome-Based Contract

Outcome-based contract( OBC) is a kind of contracting mechanism,which allows the customer to pay only when the firm has delivered outcomes,rather than activities and tasks involved. To achieve the higher demand of the delivering outcome of the contract,the evaluation of contractor's performance was focused on. A reasonable and objective contractor performance evaluation system is constructed by considering various uncertainties. The set pair theory is used to analyze the four-element connection of quality of service contractors. It aims to provide a theoretical basis for the decisionmaker to make confirmation of the equipment contractor who has a better performance and development trend.

Discussion on the Effect of"Outcome-based Education"in Higher Vocational Teaching Reform

Sydney Agreement for Higher Vocational Colleges is one of the most important accreditation standards in the internationalengineering education and engineering system, and outcome-based Education (OBE) is one of the key concepts of the SydneyAgreement. In Outcome-based Education, learning outcomes refer to the teaching outcomes clearly displayed in the teachingprocess and after the completion of teaching. Outcome-based education is to use a comprehensive approach to organizing andoperating an education system. Therefore, the reform of Outcome-based Education in higher vocational colleges must also be asystematic improvement. In the process of constructing the quality assurance system of Higher Vocational Colleges in our country,we should clearly establish action-oriented learning outcomes rather than subject-oriented learning outcomes, and design our ownquality assurance system of higher vocational colleges based on this guiding ideology. A Research of the Course “Taishan Cultural Communication with the World” under Blended Learning Model and Outcome-Based Education Concept

The course “Taishan Cultural Communication with the World” has been online and offline teaching and learning for two terms based on the theoretical ideas: Blended Learning and Outcome-Based Education. This paper uses the data from one semester to state how to carry out the program and the good results. At the same time disadvantages are also the points that should be taken into consideration. From the teaching and learning practice, students have benefited from the online videos, complementary materials and discussions;they need to be guided as well, especially the guidance offline to make up. Furthermore, the balance of time online and offline is a great challenge.

What is the role of cognitive-behavioral career coaching in mitigating work anxiety and depression among public employees?

This editorial explores the study by Mkpoikanke Sunday Otu and Maximus Monaheng Sefotho on the use of cognitive-behavioral career coaching(CBCC)to reduce work anxiety and depression among public employees.Public sector workers often face significant psychological stressors,leading to mental health issues that impair well-being and job performance.The study employed a grouprandomized trial design,involving 120 public employees diagnosed with severe anxiety and depression.Participants were divided into a treatment group,receiving CBCC,and a control group with no intervention.Results showed a significant reduction in anxiety and depression levels in the treatment group,sustained through follow-up assessments.The findings underscore the clinical relevance of CBCC as an effective intervention for improving mental health among public employees.Future research should explore the scalability of CBCC across different sectors and cultural contexts,as well as its integration with other mental health interventions.This editorial advocates for the broader implementation of CBCC practices in public service to enhance employee productivity and psychological well-being.By addressing cognitive distortions and fostering adaptive coping mechanisms,CBCC can help public employees navigate complex professional environments,ultimately contributing to a healthier and more efficient workforce.

Flow and sound fields of scaled high-speed trains with different coach numbers running in long tunnel

Segregated incompressible large eddy simulation and acoustic perturbation equations were used to obtain the flow field and sound field of 1:25 scale trains with three,six and eight coaches in a long tunnel,and the aerodynamic results were verified by wind tunnel test with the same scale two-coach train model.Time-averaged drag coefficients of the head coach of three trains are similar,but at the tail coach of the multi-group trains it is much larger than that of the three-coach train.The eight-coach train presents the largest increment from the head coach to the tail coach in the standard deviation(STD)of aerodynamic force coefficients:0.0110 for drag coefficient(Cd),0.0198 for lift coefficient(Cl)and 0.0371 for side coef-ficient(Cs).Total sound pressure level at the bottom of multi-group trains presents a significant streamwise increase,which is different from the three-coach train.Tunnel walls affect the acoustic distribution at the bottom,only after the coach number reaches a certain value,and the streamwise increase in the sound pressure fluctuation of multi-group trains is strengthened by coach number.Fourier transform of the turbulent and sound pressures presents that coach number has little influence on the peak frequencies,but increases the sound pressure level values at the tail bogie cavities.Furthermore,different from the turbulent pressure,the first two sound pressure proper orthogonal decomposition(POD)modes in the bogie cavities contain 90%of the total energy,and the spatial distributions indicate that the acoustic distributions in the head and tail bogies are not related to coach number.

E-Coach慢病管理模式在根治性前列腺切除术患者中的应用

目的探究E-Coach慢病管理模式在根治性前列腺切除术患者管理中的应用效果。方法采用方便抽样法,选择2022年11月至2023年5月于昆明市某三甲医院泌尿外科住院部行根治性前列腺切除术的82例患者为研究对象,随机分到试验组与对照组,每组41例。试验组采用E-Coach慢病管理模式,对照组采用传统管理模式。分别对两组生活质量、随访率、凯格尔运动依从性进行比较。结果试验组前列腺癌复合指数量表得分为(13.83±1.93)分,对照组为(31.03±3.96)分;试验组随访率为97.62%,对照组为65.79%;试验组凯格尔运动总依从率为100.00%,对照组为84.21%,两组比较差异有统计学意义(P<0.001)。结论E-Coach慢病管理模式可以提高根治性前列腺切除术患者的生活质量、随访率和凯格尔运动依从性,值得临床推广。

基于行为安全的COACH模型与实践研究

基于行为安全理论的研究现状和应用实践的困境,提出了COACH模型,该模型在常规BBS基础上,更加强调对观察记录的跟踪和对观察者的控制与管理。在四川某企业开展了为期一年的应用实践,结果表明,该模型能够给出一套与业绩直接挂钩的管理体系,可以较好地解决常规BBS存在的问题。从问卷测量的结果来看,模型实施后,员工对企业的安全工作的认同得分从实施前的3.15分提高到3.97分,安全认同度得到较快的提高。

E-Coach慢病管理模式在高血压控制中的应用研究

目的探讨E-Coach慢病管理模式在高血压患者中的应用效果。方法将232例原发性高血压患者随机分为研究组(116例)和对照组(116例)。对照组采取常规门诊管理,研究组在常规门诊管理的基础上接受由专科护士为主导的E-Coach慢病管理模式管理。干预6个月后评价效果。结果对照组98例、研究组102例患者完成全程干预。研究组血压控制率、平均每周有氧锻炼时间、认知症状管理及与医生沟通评分显著高于对照组,收缩压显著低于对照组(P<0.05,P<0.01)。结论 E-Coach慢病管理模式有利于改善高血压患者的自我管理行为,提高血压控制率。
