This paper, after summarizing the functions of output, interprets output from information processing aspect, and argues that output process can not promote inter-language development until special condition requirements are met. For pedagogical implication, task-based instruction is promoted in the final part.展开更多

With respect to the overallresearch approach, case study will gain prominence in the methodological design since teachers' beliefs and attitudes will be highlight-ed and explored in depth. It can be predicted that some teaching interactive activities and strategies will be concluded and suggested inEnglish teaching. As far as I am concerned, interaction is an effective avenue to balance input and output, this can serve as linguistic da-ta for grammar and sentence building, as well as to modify and adjust their output in ways that improve their current linguistic and com-municative competence. As a whole, teachers' beliefs and attitudes towards the role input and output played in interactive classroomwill be explored. Furthermore, the teaching approaches of balancing input and output and the rationale behind them will be integrated aswell.展开更多
