About fifty years ago, a baby's cry broke the sky of quietness, in a small and beautiful town of Hunan province, which surrounded by green hills and clear water. Though his birth brought his family great happiness and hope just as any new life, nobody knew that the little boy would get great achievement when he grow up, even start his business oversea, and earn international honor. Let's share with you the entrepreneur Ouyang Riping's story, which may insights these people who want to succeed and complete oneself in favorite condition or adversity rather leave things to so-called fate.……展开更多

Au precursor could be transformed into Au@TiO2/MCM-22 with the complex nano-structured using two different methods. Samples were characterized by XRD, FT-IR, UV-vis, TEM, ICP-AES and N2 adsorption-desorption. It is found that gold was anchored on the TiO2/MCM-22 as small size and uniform particles with the average diameters in the range of 5 - 9 nm. Catalytic results show that such nano-gold catalysts display excellent catalytic performance for cyclohexane oxidation. Au@TiO2/MCM-22 catalyst with the gold content of 0.5 wt% exhibits extremely exceptionally catalytic activity (12.81%) and high turnover frequency (52,121 h-1), which may be ascribed to the synergistic effects of Au and TiO2 in the complex nano-structured catalyst Au@TiO2/ MCM-22. Because of the strong metal support interaction, aggregation of active sites (Au nanoparticles) during the oxidation reaction is effectively prohibited and the catalytic activity is essentially retained.展开更多

The results showed that ultra-low temperature on the top of the troposphere was more obvious in autumn than that in spring; clockwise tumble effect was distinct and warm and wet layer reached 300 hPa in both spring and autumn. Clockwise tumble effect appeared in various forms in autumn and spring. That is, the wind blew from the east at low altitudes and the west at high altitudes before the autumn rainstorm oc- curred; when the maximum wind speed appeared at 500 hPa, heavy rainfall occurred. During the spring rainstorm process, wind direction was con- sistent at each level and wind speed increased with the rise of altitude during early days. Afterwards, the wind blew from the east at low altitudes and the west at high altitudes. During the autumn rainstorm process, the heavy rainfall at the first stage was closely related to thickness of the 20 m/s wind speed layer at 3 -5 km. If the thickness declined sharply when the 20 m/s wind speed layer expended downwards, heavy rainfall would occur soon afterwards. Moreover, the precipitation intensity weakened immediately as the 20 m/s wind speed layer began to be stable. The heavy rainfall at the second stage was closely related to thickness of the 24 m/s wind speed layer, and the appearance, development and weakening of the 24 m/s wind speed layer foreboded the occurrence of heavy rainfall. Moreover, the thickness of the 24 m/s wind speed layer decreased to the minimum, and then heavy rainfall would appear soon afterwards. Hereafter, the thickness increased and then decreased again.展开更多

Focusing on literary works quoted in both of these gazetteers that describe two of Hangzhou's famous halls on West Lake, I argue that geographic discourses on these halls manifest a tension between two conflicting presentations of Hangzhou's geo-political significance as understood by literati elite of the Southern Song. In writings concerning the Hall of Possessing Beauty (Youmei tang 有美堂), Hangzhou was viewed as a city of rising economic and cultural importance during the Northern Song. Writings on the Hall of Centrality and Harmony (Zhonghe tang 中和堂), in contrast, depict Hangzhou as an imperial refuge for a court in flight and associate it with the motif of territorial loss during the Southern Song when the city became the dynastic capital. By examining how these two views of Hangzhou are contrasted, this essay concludes that gazetteers functioned to grade and rank different kinds of landscapes in order to make geo-political arguments about the proper reconstitution of the empire during the Southern Song.展开更多
