The Value Tyranny of the Universality of Western Human Rights Discourse From the perspective of history, human rights discourse originating in the West is first of all a kind of special discourse, rather than universal words. "Human rights discourse is a language of rights, which is a language of Western culture. Therefore, in terms of concept, there is no concept of 'human rights' in traditional Confucianism, not even the concept of 'rights'. In this sense, the concept 'human rights' is a product of typical Western culture, although it appeared in modern times and it was the out- come of the development of civil society and democracy.TM Marked by unique Western color, human rights discourse originated from the special Western economic, political, histori- cal and cultural background and has its unique consciousness of problems and practical direction. Against this background, many people show great interest in the idea of “overlapping consensus” proposed by John gawls. On the basis of a careful reading of different interpretations of this idea, or the “overlapping consensus” on the idea of“ overlapping consensus,” we can say that there are three levels of “overlapping consensus. ”At the first level, people with different positions treat each other with the same reasonable attitude. At the second level, people holding different values support the same norms on the basis of their respective values or by taking each other's perspectives into the moral discourse. At the third level, people who currently hold different “moral sources”of the shared norms are nonetheless ready to engage in a common leaming process that aims for a “fusion of horizons"”in the future. Overlapping consensuses at all these levels should not only be discussed in political philosophy, or discovered in political culture, but also constructed in political practice. This means that we should try our best to provide actual conditions for overlapping consensuses in social and institutional reality, and at the same time avoid reducing the validity of any type of overlapping consensus to its facticity.展开更多

But value problems still need to be resolved. Although absolute value neutrality is infeasible, relative value neutrality is possible and necessary for political studies, which means objective observation of social facts and breaking away from ideology in evaluation of political events and theoretical studies. As there are different levels of value, relative value neutrality requires that universal values he insisted upon as a common ground in political evaluation, which is closely related to overlapping consensus and public reason that China needs to seek for its social stability and harmony.展开更多

Various aspects of NGS such as template preparation, sequencing imaging and genome alignment and assembly outline the genome sequencing and align- ment. Consequently, de Bruijn graph (dBG) is an important mathematical tool that graphically analyzes how the orientations are constructed in groups of nucleotides. Basi- cally, dBG describes the formation of the genome segments in circular iterative fashions. Some pivotal dBG-based de novo algorithms and software packages such as T-IDBA, Oases, IDBA-tran, Euler, Velvet, ABYSS, AllPaths, SOAPde novo and SOAPde novo2 are illustrated in this paper. Consequently, overlap layout consensus (OLC) graph-based algorithms also play vital role in NGS assembly. Some important OLC-based algorithms such as MIRA3, CABOG, Newbler, Edena, Mosaik and SHORTY are portrayed in this paper. It has been experimented that greedy graph-based algorithms and software pack- ages are also vital for proper genome dataset assembly. A few algorithms named SSAKE, SHARCGS and VCAKE help to perform proper genome sequencing.展开更多

The huge volume of reads, along with short read length, high coverage, and sequencing errors, poses a great challenge to de novo genome assembly. However, the paired-end information provides a new solution to these problems. In this paper, we review and compare some current assembly tools, including Newbler, CAP3, Velvet,SOAPdenovo, AllPaths, Abyss, IDBA, PE-Assembly, and Telescoper. In general, we compare the seed extension and graph-based methods that use the overlap/lapout/consensus approach and the de Bruijn graph approach for assembly. At the end of the paper, we summarize these methods and discuss the future directions of genome assembly.展开更多
