Iron(II) tetra-(1,4-dithin)-porphyrazine, (FePz(dtn)4) is able to activate molecule oxygen for oxygenation degradation of rhodamine B (RhB) in an extensive pH region without light excitation. Experiments indicate that the RhB can be degraded nearly 52% in alkaline aqueous solution, bubbling with dioxygen for seven hours in the presence of FePz(dtn)4 and the hydrogen peroxides as an active intermediate were determined by DPD method. The catalyst is recyclable and the catalyst activity was maintained after 10 recycles. 展开更多

Ordered mesoporous ceria and ceria-zirconia with high specific surface area were prepared by nanocasting of a mesoporous silica KIT-6 template and used for soot oxidation.The as-synthesized ordered mesoporous ceria and ceria-zirconia were characterized by XRD,TEM,Nitrogen adsorption-desorption,Raman spectroscopy,and XRF.The results indicate that mesoporous ceria and ceria-zirconia possess highly ordered mesoporous structure,and exhibited excellent catalytic performance in soot oxidation.T_(50) of mesoporous ceria and ceria-zirconia are 475 and 470 ℃,respectively.The high catalytic activity of mesoporous materials can be attributed to the mesoporous structure and small crystallite size.Moreover,aged mesoporous materials exhibit high catalytic activity. 展开更多

Efectiveness of national air pollution control policies on the air quality in metropolitan areas of China 被引量:23

Understanding the effectiveness of national air pollution controls is important for control policy design to improve the future air quality in China. This study evaluated the effectiveness of major national control policies implemented recently in China through a modeling analysis. The sulfur dioxide (SO2) control policy during the llth Five Year Plan period (2006-2010) had succeeded in reducing the national SO2 emission in 2010 by 14% from its 2005 level, which correspondingly reduced ambient SO2 and sulfate (SO42-) concentrations by 13%-15% and 8%-10% respectively over east China. The nitrogen oxides (NOx) control policy during the 12th Five Year Plan period (2011-2015) targets the reduction of the national NOx emission in 2015 by 10% on the basis of 2010. The simulation results suggest that such a reduction in NOx emission will reduce the ambient nitrogen dioxide (NO2), nitrate (NO3-), 1-hr maxima ozone (03) concentrations and total nitrogen deposition by 8%, 3%-14%, 2% and 2%--4%, respectively over east China. The application of new emission standards for power plants will further reduce the NO2, NO3-, 1-hr maxima 03 concentrations and total nitrogen deposition by 2%-4%, 1%-%, 0-2% and 1%-2%, respectively. Sensitivity analysis was conducted to evaluate the inter-provincial impacts of emission reduction in Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei and the Yangtze River Delta, which indicated the need to implement joint regional air pollution control. 展开更多

In the present work, potential groundwater pollution by methabenzthiazuron (MTBU) and the effect of three different amendments (composted sheep manure, composted pine bark and spent coffee grounds) on its mobility were investigated under laboratory conditions. The efficiency of ZnO and TiO2 suspensions in the photocatalytic degradation of MTBU in leaching water was also investigated. The relative and cumulative breakthrough curves were obtained from disturbed soil columns. The presence and/or addition of organic matter drastically reduced the movement of the herbicide. On other hand, photocatalytic experiments showed that the addition of ZnO and TiO2 strongly enhances the degradation rate of this herbicide compared with the results of photolytic experiments under artificial light. ZnO appeared to be more effective in MTBU oxidation than TiO2. The results obtained point to the interest of using organic wastes and heterogeneous photocatalysis for reducing the pollution of groundwater by pesticide drainage. 展开更多

Charge separation and oxygen activation are two crucial factors in the photocatalytic oxidation of pollutants.and it is meaningful to simultaneously enhance charge separation and promote O2 activation.Herein,it is demonstrated that the photocatalytic activity of porous In2O3is greatly improved after co-modifying nanosized CuO and Ag for oxidizing 2,4-dichlorophenol(2.4-DCP)and Co compared with that of individual In203.Based on the surface.photovoltage spectroscopy,02 temperature-programmed desorption,electron paramagnetic resonance spectroscopy and electrochemical results,the improved photoactivity is mainly attributed to the synergistic effects of enhancing photogenerated charge separation and promoting oxygen activation by respectively coupled nanosized CuO and Ag It is confirmed that the produced·O2^-radicals are dominant to induce the photocatalvtic oxidation of 2.4-DCP.This work offers an effective way to develop high-activity In203-based nanophotocatalysts for oxidizing pollutants. 展开更多

A simple, cost effective and rapid electrochemical method has been developed for the determination of micro level ortho nitrobenzaldehyde(ONB) based on outstanding properties of modified aluminum electrode tin nanorods/anodic aluminum oxide/aluminum(SnNR/AAO/Al) for the first time. The SnNR/AAO/Al electrode was fabricated by a second step anodization, followed by electrodeposition and its electrochemical behavior was investigated in detail. The cyclic voltammetry results indicated that the SnNR/AAO/Al electrode exhibited efficient electrocatalytic activity toward reduction of ONB in the acidic solution. It provides an appreciable improvement of reduction peak for ONB at-0.721 V.Furthermore, various kinetic parameters such as transfer electron number, transfer proton number and standard heterogeneous rate constant were calculated from the scan rates.The electrocatalytic behavior was further exploited as a sensitive detection scheme for the ONB determination by differential pulse voltammetry. Under the optimized conditions, the concentration range and detection limit are 0.1-100 μmol/L and 0.05 μmol/L, respectively,for ONB. The analytical performance of this modified sensor has been evaluated for detection of real sample such as river water and recovery of ONB was achieved all-out up to102.3% under standard addition method. 展开更多
