Clinical Practice of Evidence-Based PDCA Cycle Management Model in Accelerated Recovery of Lung Cancer Patients

Objective: To explore the nursing effect of evidence-based PDCA cycle management mode in accelerated rehabilitation of patients undergoing thoracoscopic lung cancer radical surgery. Methods: 104 patients who underwent thoracoscopic lung cancer radical surgery in our hospital from June 2022 to February 2023 were randomly divided into control group and intervention group, with 52 cases in each group. The control group implemented evidence-based ERAS clinical pathway management, while the intervention group implemented evidence-based PDCA cycle quality management. The postoperative recovery of the two groups of patients was compared. Results: The postoperative recovery of the intervention group was significantly better than that of the control group. The first time to get out of bed, the first time to eat, the duration of chest drainage tube placement, and the length of hospital stay were significantly shorter than those of the control group. The incidence of postoperative chest complications and hospitalization costs were significantly lower than those of the control group, and patient satisfaction was significantly higher than that of the control group (P Conclusion: Evidence-based PDCA cycle quality management mode can effectively improve the implementation quality of accelerated rehabilitation nursing for patients undergoing thoracoscopic lung cancer radical surgery, and it is worthy of clinical promotion.

Application of PDCA Cycle in Hand Hygiene Management of Psychiatric Medical Staff

Objective:To study the application effect of the plan-do-check-act(PDCA)cycle management in the hand hygiene management of psychiatric medical staff.Methods:One hundred and twenty medical staff from a psychiatric hospital from May 2023 to December 2023 were selected and divided into two groups.The control group(May 2023 to August 2023)applied the conventional management model,and the observation group(September 2023 to December 2023)applied the PDCA cycle management.The hand hygiene compliance,hand hygiene knowledge,and hygiene qualifications were compared,including the amount of hand sanitizer used.Results:The proportion of medical staff’s hand hygiene compliance and hand hygiene knowledge mastery scores in the observation group were higher than those in the control group(P<0.05);the hand hygiene passing rate in the observation group was higher than that of the control group(P<0.05);the daily amount of hand sanitizer per patient bed and the amount of hand sanitizer used was higher than that of the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion:The PDCA cycle management model for psychiatric medical staff promoted the improvement of hand hygiene compliance and increased their hand hygiene qualifications.It is suitable for further popularization and application in future clinical practice.

Application of PDCA Cycle in Clinical Teaching of Respiratory Medicine During the Outbreak of COVID-19

The study was to analyze the application of PDCA cycle in the clinical teaching of respiratory department during the outbreak of COVID-19.The teaching content focused on the prevention,control,diagnosis and treatment of COVID-19.Methods:Thirty clinical interns who entered the Department of Respiratory Medicine in our hospital from June 2020 to December 2020 were selected as the research objects and were randomly divided into two groups.The control group adopted traditional teaching methods and the experimental group adopted PDCA cycle.The teaching effect of the two group was compared.Results:The experimental group that used the PDCA cycle method had significantly higher theoretical knowledge,treatment skills,and comprehensive quality evaluation of COVID-19 than the traditional teaching method of the control group.Conclusion:The application of the PDCA cycle method in clinical teaching activities can improve the teaching process during the outbreak of COVID-19 and help improve the overall quality of clinical interns.

Effect of PDCA on Nursing Management

Objective:To explore and analyze the effect of the plan-do-check-act(PDCA)cycle method in the nursing management of head nurses.Methods:68 patients who were hospitalized in the general surgery department were used as research subjects.The patients were divided into an experimental group and a reference group,with 34 cases in each group,by drawing lots.The experimental group was managed with the PDCA method.The management satisfaction,nursing quality score,and nursing effect of both groups were compared with each other.Results:The patients in the experimental group were generally more satisfied with the nursing services compared to the reference group(P<0.05),and the difference was statistically significant.Before the intervention,there was no statistically significant difference(P>0.05)in the nursing quality scores such as ward safety management,nursing risk management,nursing document writing,rescue equipment management,and head nurse administrative management between the two groups.After the intervention,the experimental group had higher nursing quality scores.Furthermore,the nursing effects such as disease education,quality control,safety management,humanistic care,and service attitude in the experimental group were significantly better than those in the reference group(P<0.05).Conclusion:The application of the PDCA method in nursing management can improve management satisfaction,nursing quality,and nursing effect.

Application of Plan-Do-Check-Action cycle and fishbone diagram analysis in optimizing surgical procedures to improve satisfaction degree of doctor-nurse-patient

Background:To study the application of management tools such as Plan-Do-Check-Action(PDCA)cycle and fishbone diagram in optimizing surgical procedures to improve the satisfaction of doctor-nurse-patient.Methods:The fundus surgery nursing team of our hospital began to implement the PDCA cycle management mode to optimize the surgical procedure from July 2017,set up a project activity improvement team,unified the surgical labeling processing plan,and made the fundus surgery procedure,and established the preoperative health education for surgical patients,and standardized the training content of post-rotating doctors and interns.Results:The satisfaction degree to surgical procedure after implementation of doctors and nurses was higher than that before implementation.Conclusions:Using PDCA cycle and fishbone diagram analysis tools to manage the surgical procedure optimization can better integrate doctor-nurse medical care,improve the efficiency and accuracy of the surgical procedure delivery and operation,and optimize the satisfaction of the three parties of doctor-nurse-patient.

Research on the Teaching Quality Management of“Xindi Applied Piano Pedagogy”

Xindi Applied Piano Pedagogy(XAPP)is one of the key achievements of Chinese music education reform in recent years,reflecting the booming of piano education in China.Twenty years after its establishment,the pedagogy has been widely accepted by society.Based on the PDCA(plan-do-check-act)cycle,the paper studies XAPP in relation to teaching quality management,hoping to achieve quality teaching results by improving teaching models and quality.In order to investigate the XAPP teaching process,a closed-loop management on XAPP’s teaching quality is formed,and the questions are divided into different modules:teaching team building,curriculum design,course in effect,teaching materials selection,teacher assessment and rectification,customer satisfaction survey,as well as teaching evaluation and feedback.The application of the PDCA cycle in XAPP’s teaching quality management is then analyzed,with an aim to optimize applied piano teaching management and improve XAPP’s teaching system,curriculum design,teaching materials,and theoretical framework.This paper also studies XAPP from a management perspective,which not only promotes the development of music education,but also expands the research field of music education management.

The Influential Features of an Effective Model of AnchoringTraining in Maritime Education

Ship-handling significantly improves when anchoring exercises are practiced on training ships were proved by Kashima H.et al.Kunieda Y.et al.proved that practicing on training ships also develops critical thinking and problem-solving skills.In order to perform more effective maritime education and training,we analyzed the feature of the training effect of the anchoring training considered to be effective training.As a result of the questionnaire about the anchoring training,95%or more of trainees have answered“the anchoring training was helpful”.The trainees’comments about the anchoring training were analyzed,affinity diagram as well as the Steps for Coding and Theorization(SCAT).The affinity diagram was able to group and integrate comments written by the trainees into five distinct labels.The theorization attempted via the SCAT analysis demonstrated the influential features of the anchoring training.This investigation aimed to ameliorate the training model proposed by the authors of the current study,intending to ensure safety through automation to eliminate human error.The conception of more efficacious manpower education and training programs is critical because the advancement of automation also escalates the need for talented human resources to manage seafaring vessels.

PDCA循环法在降低神经外科医用耗材中的应用

本文简述了PDCA循环法在医院神经外科降低医用耗材中的具体应用,采用柏拉图、鱼骨图分析,明确了影响神经外科医用耗材消耗高的因素及主要原因,结合6W法制定了降低卫生材料消耗率的改进措施。通过PDCA循环法实施前后一年的相关数据进行对比分析,结果表明:PDCA循环法在指导神经外科降低卫生材料消耗率和运营质量持续改进中有明显效果,卫生材料消耗呈现出明显可控下降趋势;百元医疗收入卫生材料消耗从2019年的46.92元下降到2020年的41.85元,下降幅度达到10.8%;出院病人均次费下降了10.9%。
