Most survival models incorporate clustering and grouping of data accounting for between-cluster variability that creates correlation in order to prevent underestimate of the standard errors of the parameter estimators but do not include random effects. In this study, we developed a mixed-effect parametric proportional hazard (MEPPH) model with a generalized log-logistic distribution baseline. The parameters of the model were estimated by the application of the maximum likelihood estimation technique with an iterative optimization procedure (quasi-Newton Raphson). The developed MEPPH model’s performance was evaluated using Monte Carlo simulation. The Leukemia dataset with right-censored data was used to demonstrate the model’s applicability. The results revealed that all covariates, except age in PH models, were significant in all considered distributions. Age and Townsend score were significant when the GLL distribution was used in MEPPH, while sex, age and Townsend score were significant in MEPPH model when other distributions were used. Based on information criteria values, the Generalized Log-Logistic Mixed-Effects Parametric Proportional Hazard model (GLL-MEPPH) outperformed other models.展开更多
This paper studies the deterioration of bridge substructures utilizing the Long-Term Bridge Performance(LTBP)Program InfoBridge^(TM)and develops a survival model using Cox proportional hazards regression.The survival ...This paper studies the deterioration of bridge substructures utilizing the Long-Term Bridge Performance(LTBP)Program InfoBridge^(TM)and develops a survival model using Cox proportional hazards regression.The survival analysis is based on the National Bridge Inventory(NBI)dataset.The study calculates the survival rate of reinforced and prestressed concrete piles on bridges under marine conditions over a 29-year span(from 1992 to 2020).The state of Maryland is the primary focus of this study,with data from three neighboring regions,the District of Columbia,Virginia,and Delaware to expand the sample size.The data obtained from the National Bridge Inventory are condensed and filtered to acquire the most relevant information for model development.The Cox proportional hazards regression is applied to the condensed NBI data with six parameters:Age,ADT,ADTT,number of spans,span length,and structural length.Two survival models are generated for the bridge substructures:Reinforced and prestressed concrete piles in Maryland and reinforced and prestressed concrete piles in wet service conditions in the District of Columbia,Maryland,Delaware,and Virginia.Results from the Cox proportional hazards regression are used to construct Markov chains to demonstrate the sequence of the deterioration of bridge substructures.The Markov chains can be used as a tool to assist in the prediction and decision-making for repair,rehabilitation,and replacement of bridge piles.Based on the numerical model,the Pile Assessment Matrix Program(PAM)is developed to facilitate the assessment and maintenance of current bridge structures.The program integrates the NBI database with the inspection and research reports from various states’department of transportation,to serve as a tool for condition state simulation based on maintenance or rehabilitation strategies.展开更多

Angular rate and linear acceleration are fed back to improve the stability and robust of autopilot, VSPN and PN are compared in mathematics simulation of homing missile in attacking tanks and helicopters. The damp and the stability of the missile body are increased. The VSPN cuts down the overload of guidance phase dramatically, makes the ballistic trajectory straighter than PN and leads to smaller missdistance. By the similarity between time-degradation data and stress-accelerated lifetime, and the failure rate function of degradation data which is assumed to be proportional to the time covariate, the reliability assessment based on a proportional hazard degradation model is realized. The least squares method is used to estimate the model's parameters. Based on the failure rate of the degradation data and the proportion function of the known time, the failure rate and the reliability function under the given time and the predetermined failure threshold can be extrapolated. A long life GaAs laser is selected as a case study and its reliability is evaluated. The results show that the proposed method can accurately describe the degradation process and it is effective for the reliability assessment of long lifetime products.展开更多

Results Experimental results showed that the good tracking performance was achieved for the sinusoidal and constant velocity position tracking under a wide variations of load torque. Conclusion The position tracking accuracy for valve controlled motor electrohydraulic proportional servo systems has been solved by using the comprehensive control approach with the deadzone and self adjusting feedforward compensation.展开更多
A new proportional navigation(PN) guidance law,called combined proportional navigation(CPN),is proposed.The guidance law is designed to intercept high-speed targets,which is a common case for ballistic targets.The ran...A new proportional navigation(PN) guidance law,called combined proportional navigation(CPN),is proposed.The guidance law is designed to intercept high-speed targets,which is a common case for ballistic targets.The range of target-to-interceptor speed ratio during target interception is derived when guidance laws are applied in high-speed targets interception,and the effectiveness of negative navigation ratio in the PN-based guidance law is proven analytically in some lemmas.Based on the lemmas,the lateral acceleration command of CPN is defined,and the solution to the appearance of singularity in time-varying navigation ratio is given.The simulation results show that CPN can determine headon engagement(as PN) or tail-chase engagement(as RPN) through initial path angle compared with PN and retro proportional navigation(RPN),and can adjust the value of navigation ratio for head-on engagement or tail-chase engagement.Therefore,the capture region of CPN is larger than that of other guidance laws using PN-based methods.展开更多

SSMPD has slow dynamic response, and can't adjust independently the dither signal's amplitude and frequency; RDPD accelerates the current decay; consequently, it increases current ripple and power loss. For the purpose of solving the above mentioned problem, the tri-state modulation power driving(TSMPD) scheme was proposed for improving the performance of power driving. Detailedly, the hardware circuit for the tri-state modulation power driving is designed; the tri-state modulation algorithm is realized by digital signal processor(DSP). The tri-state modulation power driving is investigated by experiments, comparetive experiments among the single switch modulation power driving(SSMPD), reverse discharging power driving(RDPD), and the TSMPD are implemented, and the experimental results demonstrate that the linearity error of TSMDP meets the requirement of PA; the current response of TSMSP is the best; the amplitude of ripple current of the TSMPD can be reduced without increasing frequency of PWM, in addition, dither signal amplitude and frequency can be adjusted independently for each other. It is very meaningful to guide the development of high performance proportional amplifier for high frequency response proportional solenoid.展开更多

It is established based on a link function which combines the degradation cumulative hazard rate function and the degradation odds function through a transformation pa- rameter, and this makes the accelerated proportional degradation hazards model and the accelerated proportional degradation odds model special cases of it. Hypothesis tests are discussed, and the proposed model is applicable when some model assumptions are satisfied. This model is utilized to estimate the reliability of minia- ture bulbs under low stress levels based on the degradation data obtained under high stress levels to validate the effectiveness of this model.展开更多

Methods The large positioning errors caused by the time varying deadzone were significantly reduced by using the dynamic compensation method for the deadzone; and the large overshoot caused by the time varying gain were dramatically reduced by using the three section intelligent control schemes. Results Experimental results demonstrated that the positioning performance of rapid response, high accuracy and smaller or even no overshoot was achieved under a wide variations of load torque. Conclusion The good positioning performance for valve controlled motor servo systems has been achieved in the presence of the time varying deadzone and gain.展开更多

Its function is to control the operating speed, direction, position, and strength of output force of the ...Proportional direction valve is one of the most fundamental elements in electronic-hydraulic control technique. Its function is to control the operating speed, direction, position, and strength of output force of the hydraulic actuator continuously. Considering the different application and the cost, the existing technique mainly includes the internal feedback valve used in open loop system, and the electronic closed loop controlled valve used in closed loop system. Because of their different mechanical structure and the gre at different in performance, it brings inconvenience for customer to select, also inconvenience for enterprise to produce. Aiming at this problem, the idea of combining the above two kinds of valves into one body is proposed first, and then the new valve's structure to realize this target is designed. The idea intends to apply the displacement pilot flow feedback control principle in present 2-position 2-way valve system to the proportional direction valve of 3-position 4-way system. Newly designed feed forward controller can decouple the interference between the internal feedback and the electronic closed loop. Redundant conversion is designed to electronic switch mode. Experiment on dynamic and static characteristic of new proportional direction valve in internal feedback control mode and electronic closed loop control mode is discussed to prove the new theory is correct. Although the new valve is of excellent dynamic response characteristic, its steady control characteristic in open loop control mode needs to be improved further. A pilot valve using too large throttle window will cause the valveoscillate. To improve the working condition of pilot valve, a method adopting different widths oftwo throttle window is proposed. The current research mainly focuses on the flow control for the two-stage proportional valve with hydraulic position feedback which is named as Valvistor valve.Essentially,the Valvistor valve is a proportional throttl...The current research mainly focuses on the flow control for the two-stage proportional valve with hydraulic position feedback which is named as Valvistor valve.Essentially,the Valvistor valve is a proportional throttle valve and the flow fluctuates with the change of load pressure.The flow fluctuation severely restricts the application of the Valvistor valve.In this paper,a novel flow control method the Valvistor valve is provided to suppress the flow fluctuation and develop a high performance proportional flow valve.The mathematical model of this valve is established and linearized.Fuzzy proportional-integral-derivative(PID)controller is adopted in the closed-loop flow control system.The feedback is obtained by the flow inference with back-propagation neural network(BPNN)based on the spool displacement in the pilot stage and the pressure differential across the main orifice.The results show that inference with BPNN can obtain the flow data fast and accurately.With the flow control method,the flow can keep at the set point when the pressure differential across the main orifice changes.The flow control method is effective and the Valvistor valve changes from proportional throttle valve to proportional flow valve.For the developed proportional flow valve,the settling time of the flow is very short when the load pressure changes abruptly.The performances of hysteresis,linearity and bandwidth are in a high range.The linear mathematical model can be verified and the assumptions in the system modeling is reasonable.展开更多
As the central component of rotating machine,the performance reliability assessment and remaining useful lifetime prediction of bearing are of crucial importance in condition-based maintenance to reduce the maintenanc...As the central component of rotating machine,the performance reliability assessment and remaining useful lifetime prediction of bearing are of crucial importance in condition-based maintenance to reduce the maintenance cost and improve the reliability.A prognostic algorithm to assess the reliability and forecast the remaining useful lifetime(RUL) of bearings was proposed,consisting of three phases.Online vibration and temperature signals of bearings in normal state were measured during the manufacturing process and the most useful time-dependent features of vibration signals were extracted based on correlation analysis(feature selection step).Time series analysis based on neural network,as an identification model,was used to predict the features of bearing vibration signals at any horizons(feature prediction step).Furthermore,according to the features,degradation factor was defined.The proportional hazard model was generated to estimate the survival function and forecast the RUL of the bearing(RUL prediction step).The positive results show that the plausibility and effectiveness of the proposed approach can facilitate bearing reliability estimation and RUL prediction.展开更多

Energy savin...Water-assisted injection molding(WAIM), an innovative process to mold plastic parts with hollow sections, is characterized with intermittent, periodic process and large pressure and flow rate variation. Energy savings and injection pressure control can not be .attained based on conventional valve control system. Moreover, the injection water can not be supplied directly by water hydraulic proportional control system. Poor efficiency and control performance are presented by current trial systems, which pressurize injection water by compressed air. In this paper, a novel water hydraulic system is developed applying an accumulator for energy saving. And a new differential pressure control method is proposed by using pressure cylinder and water hydraulic proportional pressure relief valve for back pressure control. Aiming at design of linear controller for injection water pressure regulation, a linear load model is approximately built through computational fluid dynamics(CFD) simulation on two-phase flow cavity filling process with variable temperature and viscosity, and a linear model of pressure control system is built with the load model and linearization of water hydraulic components. According to the simulation, model based feedback is brought forward to compensate the pressure decrease during accumulator discharge and eliminate the derivative element of the system. Meanwhile, the steady-state error can be reduced and the capacity of resisting disturbance can be enhanced, by closed-loop control of load pressure with integral compensation. Through the developed experimental system in the State Key Lab of Fluid Power Transmission and Control, Zhejiang University, China, the static characteristic of the water hydraulic proportional relief valve was tested and output pressure control of the system in Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene(ABS) parts molding experiments was also studied. The experiment results show that the dead band and hysteresis of the water hydraulic proportional pressure relief valve are large, but the control precision and linearity can be improved with feed-forward compensation. With the experimental results of injection water pressure control, the applicability of this WAIM system and the effect of its linear controller are verified. The novel proposed process of WAIM pressure control and study on characteristics of control system contribute to the application of water hydraulic proportional control and WAIM technology.展开更多

In our schemes, statistical channel state information(CSI) is utilized for perfect CSI is impossible to achieve in practice. PF is used to balance the transmission efficiency and user fairness. Energy efficiency(EE) is formulated under basic data rate requirements and maximum transmitting power constraints. Due to the non-convex nature of EE, a two-step algorithm is proposed to obtain sub-optimal solution with a low complexity. Firstly, power allocation is determined by golden section search for fixed power. Secondly total transmitting power is determined by fractional programming method in the feasible regions. Compared to the performance of MIMO-NOMA without PF constraint, fairness is obtained at expense of decreasing of EE.展开更多

The distinct element method(DEM)has been used successfully for the dynamic analysis of rigid block sys- tems.One of many difficulties associated with DEM is modeling of damping.In this paper,new procedures are propose...The distinct element method(DEM)has been used successfully for the dynamic analysis of rigid block sys- tems.One of many difficulties associated with DEM is modeling of damping.In this paper,new procedures are proposed for the damping modeling and its numerical implementation in distinct element analysis of rigid muhi-block systems.The stiff- ness proportional damping is constructed for the prescribed damping ratio,based on the non-zero fundamental frequency ef- fective during the time interval while the boundary conditions remain essentially constant.At this time interval,the funda- mental frequency can be estimated without complete eigenvalue analysis.The damping coefficients will vary while the damp- ing ratio remains the same throughout the entire analysis.A new numerical procedure is developed to prevent unnecessary energy loss that can occur during the separation phases.These procedures were implemented in the development of the dis- tinet element method for the dynamic analyses of piled multi-block systems.The analysis results |or the single-block and two-block systems were in a good agreement with the analytic predictions.Applications to the seismic analyses of piled four- block systems revealed that the new procedures can make a significant difference and may lead to much-improved results.展开更多

Because this method was derived from the strain range partitioning method with a multiaxiality factor, it was possible to consider the influence of both creep-fatigue interaction and multiaxial stress state on fatigue life. In order to predict the combined axial-torsional fatigue life the damage under combined loading was defined as linear summation of the damages under axial loading and torsional loading. Axial-torsional creep-fatigue tests were carried out using tubular specimens of 316LC austenitic stainless steel and the ferritic rotor steel. This rotor steel was developed for the permanent magnet type eddy current retarder in heavy trucks. Experimentally obtained lives of both steels were well corresponded with the lives predicted by the proposed method. It was found that the proposed method was effective in multiaxial fatigue life evaluation under proportional creep-fatigue loadings.展开更多

Results Experimental results showed that the good tracking performance was achieved for the sinusoidal and constant velocity position tracking under a wide variations of load torque. Conclusion The position tracking accuracy for valve controlled motor electrohydraulic proportional servo systems has been solved by using the comprehensive control approach with the deadzone and self adjusting feedforward compensation.
文摘A new proportional navigation(PN) guidance law,called combined proportional navigation(CPN),is proposed.The guidance law is designed to intercept high-speed targets,which is a common case for ballistic targets.The range of target-to-interceptor speed ratio during target interception is derived when guidance laws are applied in high-speed targets interception,and the effectiveness of negative navigation ratio in the PN-based guidance law is proven analytically in some lemmas.Based on the lemmas,the lateral acceleration command of CPN is defined,and the solution to the appearance of singularity in time-varying navigation ratio is given.The simulation results show that CPN can determine headon engagement(as PN) or tail-chase engagement(as RPN) through initial path angle compared with PN and retro proportional navigation(RPN),and can adjust the value of navigation ratio for head-on engagement or tail-chase engagement.Therefore,the capture region of CPN is larger than that of other guidance laws using PN-based methods.

文摘Switch electro-hydraulic proportional amplifier(PA) widely employs single switch modulation power driving(SSMPD) or reverse discharging power driving(RDPD) at present. SSMPD has slow dynamic response, and can't adjust independently the dither signal's amplitude and frequency; RDPD accelerates the current decay; consequently, it increases current ripple and power loss. For the purpose of solving the above mentioned problem, the tri-state modulation power driving(TSMPD) scheme was proposed for improving the performance of power driving. Detailedly, the hardware circuit for the tri-state modulation power driving is designed; the tri-state modulation algorithm is realized by digital signal processor(DSP). The tri-state modulation power driving is investigated by experiments, comparetive experiments among the single switch modulation power driving(SSMPD), reverse discharging power driving(RDPD), and the TSMPD are implemented, and the experimental results demonstrate that the linearity error of TSMDP meets the requirement of PA; the current response of TSMSP is the best; the amplitude of ripple current of the TSMPD can be reduced without increasing frequency of PWM, in addition, dither signal amplitude and frequency can be adjusted independently for each other. It is very meaningful to guide the development of high performance proportional amplifier for high frequency response proportional solenoid.

文摘An accelerated proportional degradation hazards-odds model is proposed. It is a non-parametric model and thus has path- free and distribution-free properties, avoiding the errors caused by faulty assumptions of degradation paths or distribution of degra- dation measurements. It is established based on a link function which combines the degradation cumulative hazard rate function and the degradation odds function through a transformation pa- rameter, and this makes the accelerated proportional degradation hazards model and the accelerated proportional degradation odds model special cases of it. Hypothesis tests are discussed, and the proposed model is applicable when some model assumptions are satisfied. This model is utilized to estimate the reliability of minia- ture bulbs under low stress levels based on the degradation data obtained under high stress levels to validate the effectiveness of this model.
文摘Aim In accordance with the positioning control for valve controlled motor electrohydraulic proportional servo systems driving the static load torque, the positioning performance was studied in the presence of the time? varying deadzone and gain. Methods The large positioning errors caused by the time varying deadzone were significantly reduced by using the dynamic compensation method for the deadzone; and the large overshoot caused by the time varying gain were dramatically reduced by using the three section intelligent control schemes. Results Experimental results demonstrated that the positioning performance of rapid response, high accuracy and smaller or even no overshoot was achieved under a wide variations of load torque. Conclusion The good positioning performance for valve controlled motor servo systems has been achieved in the presence of the time varying deadzone and gain.

文摘Proportional direction valve is one of the most fundamental elements in electronic-hydraulic control technique. Its function is to control the operating speed, direction, position, and strength of output force of the hydraulic actuator continuously. Considering the different application and the cost, the existing technique mainly includes the internal feedback valve used in open loop system, and the electronic closed loop controlled valve used in closed loop system. Because of their different mechanical structure and the gre at different in performance, it brings inconvenience for customer to select, also inconvenience for enterprise to produce. Aiming at this problem, the idea of combining the above two kinds of valves into one body is proposed first, and then the new valve's structure to realize this target is designed. The idea intends to apply the displacement pilot flow feedback control principle in present 2-position 2-way valve system to the proportional direction valve of 3-position 4-way system. Newly designed feed forward controller can decouple the interference between the internal feedback and the electronic closed loop. Redundant conversion is designed to electronic switch mode. Experiment on dynamic and static characteristic of new proportional direction valve in internal feedback control mode and electronic closed loop control mode is discussed to prove the new theory is correct. Although the new valve is of excellent dynamic response characteristic, its steady control characteristic in open loop control mode needs to be improved further. The research results prepare one new fundamental element for electronic-hydraulic control technology.

文摘A mathematic model is built up to analyze the influences of a pilot valve'sleakage on the performances of pneumatic pressure proportional valve, and the performances aresimulated by using MATLAB. The results indicate that using slide pilot valve in the valve system isfeasible, but the leakage's influences can not be neglected, especially it may induce instability ina low output pressure situation. A pilot valve using too large throttle window will cause the valveoscillate. To improve the working condition of pilot valve, a method adopting different widths oftwo throttle window is proposed. According to our simulation, this method balances the pressure dropbetween the two stage throttle ports, and reduces the influences of pilot valve's leakage.

文摘The current research mainly focuses on the flow control for the two-stage proportional valve with hydraulic position feedback which is named as Valvistor valve.Essentially,the Valvistor valve is a proportional throttle valve and the flow fluctuates with the change of load pressure.The flow fluctuation severely restricts the application of the Valvistor valve.In this paper,a novel flow control method the Valvistor valve is provided to suppress the flow fluctuation and develop a high performance proportional flow valve.The mathematical model of this valve is established and linearized.Fuzzy proportional-integral-derivative(PID)controller is adopted in the closed-loop flow control system.The feedback is obtained by the flow inference with back-propagation neural network(BPNN)based on the spool displacement in the pilot stage and the pressure differential across the main orifice.The results show that inference with BPNN can obtain the flow data fast and accurately.With the flow control method,the flow can keep at the set point when the pressure differential across the main orifice changes.The flow control method is effective and the Valvistor valve changes from proportional throttle valve to proportional flow valve.For the developed proportional flow valve,the settling time of the flow is very short when the load pressure changes abruptly.The performances of hysteresis,linearity and bandwidth are in a high range.The linear mathematical model can be verified and the assumptions in the system modeling is reasonable.

文摘As the central component of rotating machine,the performance reliability assessment and remaining useful lifetime prediction of bearing are of crucial importance in condition-based maintenance to reduce the maintenance cost and improve the reliability.A prognostic algorithm to assess the reliability and forecast the remaining useful lifetime(RUL) of bearings was proposed,consisting of three phases.Online vibration and temperature signals of bearings in normal state were measured during the manufacturing process and the most useful time-dependent features of vibration signals were extracted based on correlation analysis(feature selection step).Time series analysis based on neural network,as an identification model,was used to predict the features of bearing vibration signals at any horizons(feature prediction step).Furthermore,according to the features,degradation factor was defined.The proportional hazard model was generated to estimate the survival function and forecast the RUL of the bearing(RUL prediction step).The positive results show that the plausibility and effectiveness of the proposed approach can facilitate bearing reliability estimation and RUL prediction.

文摘Water-assisted injection molding(WAIM), an innovative process to mold plastic parts with hollow sections, is characterized with intermittent, periodic process and large pressure and flow rate variation. Energy savings and injection pressure control can not be .attained based on conventional valve control system. Moreover, the injection water can not be supplied directly by water hydraulic proportional control system. Poor efficiency and control performance are presented by current trial systems, which pressurize injection water by compressed air. In this paper, a novel water hydraulic system is developed applying an accumulator for energy saving. And a new differential pressure control method is proposed by using pressure cylinder and water hydraulic proportional pressure relief valve for back pressure control. Aiming at design of linear controller for injection water pressure regulation, a linear load model is approximately built through computational fluid dynamics(CFD) simulation on two-phase flow cavity filling process with variable temperature and viscosity, and a linear model of pressure control system is built with the load model and linearization of water hydraulic components. According to the simulation, model based feedback is brought forward to compensate the pressure decrease during accumulator discharge and eliminate the derivative element of the system. Meanwhile, the steady-state error can be reduced and the capacity of resisting disturbance can be enhanced, by closed-loop control of load pressure with integral compensation. Through the developed experimental system in the State Key Lab of Fluid Power Transmission and Control, Zhejiang University, China, the static characteristic of the water hydraulic proportional relief valve was tested and output pressure control of the system in Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene(ABS) parts molding experiments was also studied. The experiment results show that the dead band and hysteresis of the water hydraulic proportional pressure relief valve are large, but the control precision and linearity can be improved with feed-forward compensation. With the experimental results of injection water pressure control, the applicability of this WAIM system and the effect of its linear controller are verified. The novel proposed process of WAIM pressure control and study on characteristics of control system contribute to the application of water hydraulic proportional control and WAIM technology.

文摘In this paper, proportional fairness(PF)-based energy-efficient power allocation is studied for multiple-input multiple-output(MIMO) non-orthogonal multiple access(NOMA) systems. In our schemes, statistical channel state information(CSI) is utilized for perfect CSI is impossible to achieve in practice. PF is used to balance the transmission efficiency and user fairness. Energy efficiency(EE) is formulated under basic data rate requirements and maximum transmitting power constraints. Due to the non-convex nature of EE, a two-step algorithm is proposed to obtain sub-optimal solution with a low complexity. Firstly, power allocation is determined by golden section search for fixed power. Secondly total transmitting power is determined by fractional programming method in the feasible regions. Compared to the performance of MIMO-NOMA without PF constraint, fairness is obtained at expense of decreasing of EE.

文摘A kind of cartridge servo proportional valve is discussed, which can be used for controlling large flow rate with high performance. By analyzing the structure principle of the valve, the transfer fimction of the valve is derived. With the transfer function, some structure elements that may affect its performance are investigated. Through the numerical simulation and test study, some principles of optimality and effective methods for improving the dynamic performance of the valve are proposed. The test results conform to the results of the theoretical analysis and simulation, which proves the correctness of the study and simulation works. The paper provides theoretical basis for engineering applications and series expanding design works
文摘The distinct element method(DEM)has been used successfully for the dynamic analysis of rigid block sys- tems.One of many difficulties associated with DEM is modeling of damping.In this paper,new procedures are proposed for the damping modeling and its numerical implementation in distinct element analysis of rigid muhi-block systems.The stiff- ness proportional damping is constructed for the prescribed damping ratio,based on the non-zero fundamental frequency ef- fective during the time interval while the boundary conditions remain essentially constant.At this time interval,the funda- mental frequency can be estimated without complete eigenvalue analysis.The damping coefficients will vary while the damp- ing ratio remains the same throughout the entire analysis.A new numerical procedure is developed to prevent unnecessary energy loss that can occur during the separation phases.These procedures were implemented in the development of the dis- tinet element method for the dynamic analyses of piled multi-block systems.The analysis results |or the single-block and two-block systems were in a good agreement with the analytic predictions.Applications to the seismic analyses of piled four- block systems revealed that the new procedures can make a significant difference and may lead to much-improved results.

文摘A multi-domain nonlinear dynamic model of a proportional solenoid valve was presented.The electro-magnetic,mechanical and fluid subsystems of the valve were investigated,including their interactions.Governing equations of the valve were derived in the form of nonlinear state equations.By comparing the simulated and measured data,the simulation model is validated with a deviation less than 15%,which can be used for the structural design and control algorithm optimization of proportional solenoid valves.
文摘A new method was proposed for the multiaxial creep-fatigue life evaluation under proportional loadings. Because this method was derived from the strain range partitioning method with a multiaxiality factor, it was possible to consider the influence of both creep-fatigue interaction and multiaxial stress state on fatigue life. In order to predict the combined axial-torsional fatigue life the damage under combined loading was defined as linear summation of the damages under axial loading and torsional loading. Axial-torsional creep-fatigue tests were carried out using tubular specimens of 316LC austenitic stainless steel and the ferritic rotor steel. This rotor steel was developed for the permanent magnet type eddy current retarder in heavy trucks. Experimentally obtained lives of both steels were well corresponded with the lives predicted by the proposed method. It was found that the proposed method was effective in multiaxial fatigue life evaluation under proportional creep-fatigue loadings.
