Exact controllability of rational expectations model with multiplicative noise and input delay

This paper considers the rational expectations model with multiplicative noise and input delay,where the system dynamics rely on the conditional expectations of future states.The main contribution is to obtain a sufficient condition for the exact controllability of the rational expectations model.In particular,we derive a sufficient Gramian matrix condition and a rank condition for the delay-free case.The key is the solvability of the backward stochastic difference equations with input delay which is derived from the forward and backward stochastic system.

Study on Rational Irrigation for Wheat Production in Fengqiu Region:Ⅱ. A Model of Rational Irrigation forWheat and Its Evaluation

A 5-year experiment on water balance was conducted in a flat rainfed wheat field with an area of 66 m×100 m in Fengqiu, Henan Province, China. Based on the results of the 5-consecutive-year experiments,a reasonable irrigation model for wheat cultivation is suggested according to the principle of maintaining balance of the water resources. The irrigation program was designed by simulating the ideal soil moisture regimes during a wheat season. As far as the actual soil moisture was concerned, its deyiation from the ideal soil moisture was kept within 150 mm. If this model was put into practice, a grain yield of 5 250 kg ha-1 could be expected under optimal fertilization. Compared with the traditional irrigstion scheme, the suggested model saved irrigation water by 18%.

Practice of Perioperative Rational Use of Antibacterial Drugs Based on Drug Pathway

[Objectives]To establish a new management model for rational use of perioperative antibacterial drugs in surgical departments.[Methods]Based on evidence-based medicine,the department s drug pathway was formulated,and the new mode of rational drug use control was established by using fine pharmaceutical technology intervention,and the intervention effect was evaluated by the intensity of antibacterial drug use,per capita drug costs and the proportion of drugs.[Results]After adopting drug pathway in departments,the intensity of antibacterial drug use,per capita drug costs and the proportion of drugs decreased significantly,and the effect of rational drug use control was remarkable.[Conclusions]The drug pathway provides a new management and control mode for the rational use of perioperative antibacterial drugs in surgical departments of hospitals.Thus,it is worthy of popularization and application.

An osculatory rational interpolation method of model reduction in linear system

A theorem for osculatory rational interpolation was shown to establish a new criterion of interpolation. On the basis of this conclusion a practical algorithm was presented to get a reduction model of the linear systems. Some numerical examples were given to explain the result in this paper.

Systematic rationalization approach for multivariate correlated alarms based on interpretive structural modeling and Likert scale

Alarm flood is one of the main problems in the alarm systems of industrial process. Alarm root-cause analysis and alarm prioritization are good for alarm flood reduction. This paper proposes a systematic rationalization method for multivariate correlated alarms to realize the root cause analysis and alarm prioritization. An information fusion based interpretive structural model is constructed according to the data-driven partial correlation coefficient calculation and process knowledge modification. This hierarchical multi-layer model is helpful in abnormality propagation path identification and root-cause analysis. Revised Likert scale method is adopted to determine the alarm priority and reduce the blindness of alarm handling. As a case study, the Tennessee Eastman process is utilized to show the effectiveness and validity of proposed approach. Alarm system performance comparison shows that our rationalization methodology can reduce the alarm flood to some extent and improve the performance.

The Rational Man Model in Social and Political Studies： A Plea for Relevance

This paper examines the assumptions of the Rational Man （RM） model familiar in social and political studies. It is observed that the model is too restrictive in its explaining events and behavior in social and political situations. It is suggested that the assumptions of RM model should be relaxed using the familiar methods and techniques of elementary formal logic. The concept of relevance is then introduced to take account of a ＂weaker＂ formal requirement in an attempt to explain events and processes in human action and/or behavior. The concept of ＂justification by reasons＂ is then introduced as a necessary though not sufficient requirement of explaining events and processes in social and political studies

Rational SU(N) Gaudin Model

We propose the eigenstates and eigenvalues of Hamiltonians of the rational SU(N)Gaudin model based on the quasi-classical limit of the SU(N)chain under the periodic boundary condition.Using the quantum inverse scattering method,we also obtain the eigenvalues of the generation function of the rational SU(N)Gaudin model.

Extraction of Feature Points for Non-Uniform Rational B-Splines(NURBS)-Based Modeling of Human Legs

Methods of digital human modeling have been developed and utilized to reflect human shape features.However,most of published works focused on dynamic visualization or fashion design,instead of high-accuracy modeling,which was strongly demanded by medical or rehabilitation scenarios.Prior to a high-accuracy modeling of human legs based on non-uniform rational B-splines(NURBS),the method of extracting the required quasi-grid network of feature points for human legs is presented in this work.Given the 3 D scanned human body,the leg is firstly segmented and put in standardized position.Then re-sampling of the leg is conducted via a set of equidistant cross sections.Through analysis of leg circumferences and circumferential curvature,the characteristic sections of the leg as well as the characteristic points on the sections are then identified according to the human anatomy and shape features.The obtained collection can be arranged to form a grid of data points for knots calculation and high-accuracy shape reconstruction in future work.

An empirical study of the effects of a speaking anxiety reduction model developed from the rational emotive behavioral therapy

Thirty-two Chinese EFL learners took part in a true experiment on the effects of a Speaking Anxiety Reduction Model （SARM） developed from the Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy （REBT）. The participants were randomly assigned to the treatment and the control group. Both groups received a pre- and post- test of their Speaking Anxiety （SA）, Speaking State Anxiety （SAstate） as well as speaking performance. Those involved in the treatment group also received a treatment with the SARM between the tests. The results showed that, with the effects of Language Achievement （LA） being controlled： （1） the SARM could significantly reduce the SA, SAstate, and increase the total number of words in Communication Units （CUs）; and （2） the effects of the SARM did not differ significantly in terms of gender.

以黄山学院生物技术专业“生物化学”课程教学为例,介绍了BOPPPS教学模式结合PAD课堂开展“生物化学”课程教学的实施过程。BOPPPS和PAD课堂实践相结合,提升了学生在课堂上的参与度、积极性和主动性;通过PAD课堂隔堂讨论的“亮考帮”环节,一定程度上提升了学生的思维创新能力;通过案例以问题的方式作为BOPPPS教学模式的导入环节,PAD课堂思考题布置作为BOPPPS的前测环节,驱动学生必须进行有效思考来剖析案例和解决问题,一定程度上提升了课程的高阶性、创新性和挑战度;把提升学生学习自主性、积极性作为课程教学目的,科学实施和评价教学过程关键环节,形成重在培养创新能力的教学模式。BOPPPS教学模式与PAD课堂进行有机结合,可以塑造以学为中心,以能力达成为目标的课程教学模式,提升“生物化学”课程的教学效果。

基于Rational的B/S架构软件自动化测试研究

为提高B/S架构下软件测试的自动化程度与执行效率,找出B/S架构下软件系统各项指标的性能瓶颈,提出应用优秀的软件自动化测试管理工具IBM Rational系列,构建优化的自动化测试模型,并应用该模型对当前最流行B/S架构的一个系统实例进行分析与测试管理。实验结果表明了它能够迅速发现软件中存在的缺陷,显著提高了B/S架构下应用系统自动化性能测试的效率,保证了软件的质量,对B/S架构软件自动化测试技术的深入研究具有重要的借鉴意义。

“制药资源野外实习”课程教学改革与探索——基于OBE理念和PAD课堂

科学设计实验、合理安排实习项目、优化过程管理会影响到人才培养质量的提高。本文在深入分析现有教学模式不足的基础上,结合地方实际情况,提出并实施了切实可行的改进举措。具体包括:1.整合畲药植物资源,编写实习指导手册;2.将OBE教学理念和PAD课堂深度融入实习各个环节,发挥学生的主观能动性;3.充分挖掘课程思政元素,使课程思政深入人心。通过课程教学模式的改革与实践,我们期望本校的《制药资源野外实习》课程教学质量能得到进一步提升。

A Mathematical Model of an Evaporative Cooling Pad Using Sintered Nigerian Clay

Overtime, reduction in the amount of heat generated in engineering systems in operations have been of great concern and have continuously been under study. It is in line with the above that this research work developed a mathematical model of an evaporative cooling pad using sintered Nigerian clay. A physical model of the evaporative cooling phenomenon was developed followed by the derivation of the governing equations describing the energy and mass transfer for the clay model from the laws of conservation of continuum mechanics. A set of reasonable and appropriate as-sumptions were imposed upon the physical model. Constitutive relationships were also developed for further analysis of the developed equations. The finite element model of numerical methods was used to analyse the energy transfer governing equations which resulted in the determination of the temperature of the exposed boundary surface at any given time, t2 after the commencement of the evaporative cooling processes. In this paper, it was found out that surface temperature differences could be as much as 6?C in the first cycle of evaporative cooling with the potential of further reduction. Further, an equation for the prediction of the effectiveness of an evaporative cooling system using clay modeled cooling pads was developed. The findings in this research work can be applied in the design, construction and maintenance of evaporative coolers used to dissipate waste heat when a large amount of natural water is not readily available or if for environmental and safety reasons the large water body can no longer absorb waste heat.

Optimization for ASP flooding based on adaptive rationalized Haar function approximation

This paper presents an adaptive rationalized Haar function approximation method to obtain the optimal injection strategy for alkali-surfactant-polymer(ASP) flooding. In this process, the non-uniform control vector parameterization is introduced to convert original problem into a multistage optimization problem, in which a new normalized time variable is adopted on the combination of the subinterval length. Then the rationalized Haar function approximation method, in which an auxiliary function is introduced to dispose path constraints, is used to transform the multistage problem into a nonlinear programming. Furthermore, an adaptive strategy proposed on the basis of errors is adopted to regulate the order of Haar function vectors. Finally, the nonlinear programming for ASP flooding is solved by sequential quadratic programming. To illustrate the performance of proposed method,the experimental comparison method and control vector parameterization(CVP) method are introduced to optimize the original problem directly. By contrastive analysis of results, the accuracy and efficiency of proposed method are confirmed.
