Peanut(Arachis hypogaea L.)is an oil and economic crop of vital importance,and peanut pod is the key organ influencing the yield and processing quality.Hence,the Pod-related traits(PRTs)are considered as important agr...Peanut(Arachis hypogaea L.)is an oil and economic crop of vital importance,and peanut pod is the key organ influencing the yield and processing quality.Hence,the Pod-related traits(PRTs)are considered as important agronomic traits in peanut breeding.To broaden the variability of PRTs in current peanut germplasms,three elite peanut cultivars were used to construct Ethyl methane sulfonate(EMS)-induced mutant libraries in this study.The optimal EMS treatment conditions for the three peanut varieties were determined.It was found that the median lethal dose(LD50)of EMS treatment varied greatly among different genotypes.Finally,the EMS-induced peanut mutant libraries were constructed and a total of 124 mutant lines for PRTs were identified and evaluated.Furthermore,“M-8070”,one of the mutant lines for pod constriction,was re-sequenced via high-throughput sequencing technology.The genome-wide variations between“M-8070”and its wild parent“Fuhua 8”(FH 8)were detected.2994 EMS-induced single nucleotide polymorphisms(SNPs)and 1188 insertion-deletions(InDels)between“M-8070”and its wild parent were identified.The predominant SNP mutation type was C/G to T/A transitions,while the predominant InDel mutation type was“1-bp”.We analyzed the distribution of identified mutations and annotated their functions.Most of the mutations(91.68%of the SNPs and 77.69%of the InDels)were located in the intergenic region.72 SNPs were identified in the exonic region,leading to 27 synonymous,43 nonsynonymous and 2 stop-gain variation for gene structure.13 Indels were identified in the exonic region,leading to 4 frame-shift,8 non-frame-shift and 1 stop-gain variations of genes.These mutations may lead to the phenotypic variation of“M-8070”.Our study provided valuable resources for peanut improvement and functional genomic research.展开更多

In the big peanut regional tests in north China in 2011-2012, Shanghua No.6 had the average yield of pod and seed respectively of 4 695.30 kg/hm^2 and 3 514.73 kg/hm^2;in the production test in 2013, its average yield of pod and seed were 4 531.0 5kg/hm^2 and 3 312.15 kg/hm^2. Its crude fat content was 50.46-53.46%, oleic acid content was 50.9-51.7%, and oil oleic acid/linoleic acid value was 1.69-1.76. The variety was high-resistant to brown spot and focal spot, susceptible to black spot,resistant to net blotch and stem rot. Its 100-pod weight was 256.2 g, 100-seed weight 111.2 g, and shelling percentage was 74.75%. The variety was certificated by National Crop Variety Approval Committee in 2014(identification number:2014010), which was suitable for planting in Shandong, Henan, Hebei, Liaoning,Beijing, north of Huaihe River in Jiangsu and Anhui provinces.展开更多

In the wheat-peanut interplanting regional experiment conducted in Henan Province during 2012-2013, the average pod and seed yield of Shanghua 511 were 5906.19 and 4149.3 kg/hm2, respectively. In the wheat-peanut interplanting production experiment conducted in Henan Province in 2013, the average pod and seed yield of Shanghua 511 were 6036.45 and 4309.50 kg/hm2, respectively. In the kernels of Shanghua 511, the contents of crude fat, oleic acid and linoleic acid were 56.62%, 44.9% and 33.4% respectively, and the oleic/linoleic acid ratio was 1.34. This variety had high resistance to web blotch and medium resistance to leaf spot, viral diseases, root rot and collar rot. The 100-pod weight, 100-kernel weight, shelling percentage and growth period of Shanghua 511 were 270.6, 110.9 g, 70.6% and 120 d, respectively. In this study, a total of 600 40-week-old Hy-Line variety brown layers were randomized into five groups and fed with a corn-soybean-mixed basal diet supplement with 0, 10, 50, 100, and 500 mg · kg^-1 daidzein, respectively. Then, two PCR-based typing methods(RAPD-PCR and ERIC-PCR) were combined to analyze the ileum content and explore the changes of ileum microflora biodiversity. The results of RAPD-PCR and ERIC-PCR showed that bands under 10 mg · kg^-1 and 50 mg · kg^-1 were the most, and their similarity was the largest. Bands under 500 mg · kg^-1 were the least and similarity with other groups was the minimum. Ileum microflora biodiversity under 10 mg · kg^-1 or 50 mg · kg^-1 was richer than that under 500 mg · kg^-1. A corn-soybean-mixed basal diet supplement with 10 mg · kg^-1 to 50 mg · kg^-1 of daidzein might be beneficial to Hy-Line variety brown layers intestinal bacteria.展开更多

[Result] Yun peanut No.3 is a new early-mature peanut species bred based on foreign resources and local varieties through sexual hybridization and improvement. It contains 50.32% of fat, 26.5% of protein, 38.93% of oleic acid, 38.88% of linoleic acid, and the ratio of oleic acid and linoleic acid is at 1.00. It is a typical small-scale peanut with red skin, high contents of oil and fat, and constitutes the first one approved by cultivar registration in China. According to related tests, pod yield achieved 3 615.9 kg/hm2 ; kernel yield was 2 570.1 kg/hm2 and oil output was 1 293.3 kg/hm2 . For the production at scale, pod yields would be about 3 000 kg/hm2 ; the production value of fruit would be 25 000 Yuan/hm2 ; the yield per unit area would be maximal at 16 000 kg/hm2 , totaling 64 000 Yuan/hm2 . It enjoys different excellent qualities, such as drought-resistance and barren-resistance. It was approved in Yunnan Province in 2012 and extended at 20 000 Yuan/hm2 in major production lands.
