CDMOs are emerging as critical drivers of innovation within the pharmaceutical and biotech industries. As the pharmaceutical industry continues to evolve, we can expect to see CDMOs play an increasingly important role in drug development and manufacturing. Many companies within these sectors are now leveraging the expertise of CDMOs through technology transfers to foster innovation and enhance the development of new drug products. In the extensive field of drug development, technology transfer plays a crucial role at multiple stages, ranging from preclinical phases to commercialization. By working closely with drug developers, CDMOs can ensure that technologies are transferred seamlessly between phases of drug development, allowing for a more efficient and cost-effective development process. CDMOs also bring a wealth of experience in various areas of drug development, including process development, analytical testing, quality control, and manufacturing. This expertise, combined with a focus on innovation, can help drug developers to overcome technical challenges and optimize their drug development programs. CDMOs can provide drug developers with various manufacturing capabilities, from small-scale clinical trials to large-scale commercial production. This flexibility allows drug developers to focus on their core competencies while relying on CDMOs to provide the necessary infrastructure and support for drug manufacturing. The critical role of CDMOs in advancing pharmaceutical innovation in phase-appropriate technology transfer where there will be a lot of effort and patience with strong technical expertise is required. This study demonstrated the feasibility of implementing of MBR in pharmaceutical wastewater independently, and concluded different applications of MBR in industries. Membrane bioreactor (MBR) technology was a new wastewater treatment technology with a combination of membrane separation technology and biological treatment technology, which had unique advantages on pharmaceutical wastewater treatment. The modified membrane rector design provided a significantly lower concentration of NH3-N, Phosphorous, Total Nitrogen and COD around the membranes, and subsequently a more sustainable membrane performance due to much lower overall fouling rates. In this paper, the classification and structure of biological waste water treatment by using MBR technology were summed up along with some examples of MBR in industrial wastewater treatment, which was emphatically analyzed and discussed. Finally, the prospect of MBR in industrial wastewater treatment was described. The industrial wastewater was a high-strength wastewater which had characteristics of complicated constituents, high organics concentration, highly toxic. 展开更多

Carbonate reservoirs worldwide are complex in structure,diverse in form,and highly heterogeneous.Based on these characteristics,the reservoir stimulation technologies and fluid flow characteristics of carbonate reservoirs are briefly described in this study.The development methods and EOR technologies of carbonate reservoirs are systematically summarized,the relevant mechanisms are analyzed,and the application status of oil fields is catalogued.The challenges in the development of carbonate reservoirs are discussed,and future research directions are explored.In the current development processes of carbonate reservoirs,water flooding and gas flooding remain the primary means but are often prone to channeling problems.Chemical flooding is an effective method of tertiary oil recovery,but the harsh formation conditions require high-performance chemical agents.The application of emerging technologies can enhance the oil recovery efficiency and environmental friendliness to a certain extent,which is welcome in hard-to-recover areas such as heavy oil reservoirs,but the economic cost is often high.In future research on EOR technologies,flow field control and flow channel plugging will be the potential directions of traditional development methods,and the application of nanoparticles will revolutionize the chemical EOR methods.On the basis of diversified reservoir stimulation,combined with a variety of modern data processing schemes,multichannel EOR technologies are being developed to realize the systematic,intelligent,and cost-effective development of carbonate reservoirs. 展开更多

The automation of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)pharmaceuticals has driven the development of process analysis from offline to online.Most of common online process analytical technologies are based on spectroscopy,making the identification and quantification of specific ingredients still a challenge.Herein,we developed a quality control(QC)system for monitoring TCM pharmaceuticals based on paper spray ionization miniature mass spectrometry(mini-MS).It enabled real-time online qualitative and quantitative detection of target ingredients in herbal extracts using mini-MS without chromatographic separation for the first time.Dynamic changes of alkaloids in Aconiti Lateralis Radix Praeparata(Fuzi)during decoction were used as examples,and the scientific principle of Fuzi compatibility was also investigated.Finally,the system was verified to work stably at the hourly level for pilot-scale extraction.This mini-MS based online analytical system is expected to be further developed for QC applications in a wider range of pharmaceutical processes. 展开更多

Establishment and Application of Identification Methods for Resistance to Sugarcane White Leaf Disease(SCWL)

[Objectives]This study was conducted to establish simple, efficient, stable, standardized and practical identification methods for sugarcane resistance to white leaf disease(SCWL), and promote the breeding for sugarcane resistance to SCWL. [Methods]The identification technology of sugarcane resistance to SCWL was systematically studied and explored from the aspects of sugarcane material treatment and planting, inoculation liquid preparation, inoculation method, disease investigation, grading standard formulation, etc., and two sets of simple, efficient, stable, standardized and practical accurate identification methods for sugarcane resistance to SCWL were created for the first time, namely, the seed cane coating inoculation method and the stem-cutting inoculation method at the growth stage. The seed cane coating inoculation method includes the steps of directly screening SCWL phytoplasma, extracting juice from cane and adding 10 times of sterile water to prepare an inoculation liquid, spraying seed cane on plastic film to keep moisture, planting the inoculated materials in barrels in an insect-proof greenhouse for cultivation, investigating the incidence rate 30 d after inoculation, and evaluating the disease resistance according to the 1-5 level standard. The method of stem-cutting inoculation includes the steps of directly screening sugarcane stems carrying SCWL phytoplasma and adding 10 times of sterile water to prepare an inoculation liquid, cultivating the identification materials in an insect-proof greenhouse, dropping 100 μl of the inoculation liquid into each root incision with a pipette gun at the age of 6 months, investigating the incidence rate 20 d after planting, and evaluating the disease resistance according to the 1-5 level standard. [Results] The two methods are similar to the natural transmission method. After inoculation, SCML occurred significantly, with high sensitivity and good reproducibility. The results of resistance identification were consistent with those of natural disease in the field. Through the two inoculation methods and field natural disease investigation, the resistance of 10 main cultivars to SCML was identified, which was true and reliable. [Conclusions] This study can provide standard varieties for identification of SCML resistance in the future. 展开更多

Objective To study the identification method that aims at the research and development target and makes the limited resources be optimized.With the frequent occurrence of potential drug safety hazards and the vigorous development of biomedicine,China’s pharmaceutical cold chain is facing huge opportunities and challenges.Under this background,it’s vital to promote the research and development of Chinese pharmaceutical cold chain technology.Methods First,China’s pharmaceutical cold chain patents were sorted out through the literature research method and patent analysis method,de-noises and cleans the data,uses the international patent classification(IPC)numbers as the pharmaceutical cold chain technology.Then,the IPC number co-occurrence matrix was constructed.Third,UCINET was used to visualize,draw the IPC number co-occurrence network.After that,K-cores analysis was applied to initially screen the core technology so as to build a comprehensive evaluation index system to evaluate the core technologies.Finally,Condorcet voting method was used to integrate the evaluation results to identify the core technologies.Results and Conclusion Based on this method,it can provide theoretical guidance for the development and decision-making of Chinese pharmaceutical cold chain enterprises,helping them break through technical barriers and improving the efficiency of Chinese pharmaceutical cold chain logistics. 展开更多
