Crystal Structures of (Z)-1-Phenyl-1-phenylseleno- 2-(p-tolylsulfonyl)ethene and (Z)-1,3-Diphenyl-3- phenyl-seleno-2-(p-tolylsulfonyl)-2-propen-1-ol

The molecular structures of compounds (Z)-1-phenyl-1-phenylseleno-2-(p-tolyl- sulfonyl) ethene 1 (C21H18O2SSe, Mr = 413.37) and 1,3-diphenyl-3-phenylseleno-2-(p-tolylsulfonyl) -2-propen-1-ol 2 (C28H24O3SSe, Mr = 519.4... The molecular structures of compounds (Z)-1-phenyl-1-phenylseleno-2-(p-tolyl- sulfonyl) ethene 1 (C21H18O2SSe, Mr = 413.37) and 1,3-diphenyl-3-phenylseleno-2-(p-tolylsulfonyl) -2-propen-1-ol 2 (C28H24O3SSe, Mr = 519.49) were determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction analyses. Crystal 1 crystallizes in monoclinic, space group P21/n with a = 12.574(4), b = 12.087(3), c = 13.132(4) , b = 107.973(4), V = 1898.5(9) ?, Z = 4, Dc = 1.446 g/cm3, m = 2.098 mm-1, l = 0.71073 ? F(000) = 840, R = 0.0484 and wR = 0.1085. Crystal 2 crystallizes in monoclinic, space group P21/n with a = 7.0710(4), b = 14.6604(9), c = 24.3432(5) ? b = 94.76(1), V = 2514.8(3) 3, Z = 4, Dc = 1.372 g/cm3, m = 1.603 mm-1, l = 0.71073 ? F (000) = 1064, R = 0.0366 and wR = 0.0573. The X-ray diffraction analysis shows that both of the title compounds are in Z- configuration. 展开更多

PhSe-Na+ generated in situ by reduction of PhSeSePh, with sodium borohydride on reaction with N-(2-bromoethyl) phthalimide in N2 atmosphere results in the formation of N-[2-(phenylseleno)ethyl]phthalimide (L1). The title compound has been characterized by elemental analysis, FT-IR, 1H and 13C NMR techniques. The crystal structure of L1 has been solved by direct methods and refined by full-matrix least squares. The ligand L1 crystallize in the monoclinic space group. Selenium forms two Se-C linkages, one is due to Se-Calkyl and the other one to Se-Caryl. Further, the ligation reaction of L1 with complex 1 is also explored whose identities are characterized by spectroscopic techniques. 展开更多

Its crystal structure has been determined by X-ray single-crystal diffraction. The crystal of 1 belongs to monoclinic system, space group P21/c with the crystal cell parameters: a = 18.018(6), b = 5.980(2), c = 14.682(5) ? = 109.977(6)? V = 1486.7(9) 3, Z = 4, Dc = 1.449 g/cm3, (MoK? = 2.523 mm-1, F(000) = 664,the final R = 0.0302 and wR = 0.0666 for 2623 independent observed reflections with I > 2(I). Phenylseleno- and p-tolylsulfonyl substituted 1,3-dienes were conveniently prepared with high stereoselectivity by the elimination reaction of phenylseleno- and p-tolylsulfonyl substituted allyl alcohols in the presence of BF3·Et2O in acetic anhydride. The products were characterized by 1H NMR, MS, IR and elemental analysis. The single crystal structure of 2a was determined by X-ray diffraction analysis. 展开更多
