[ Objective ] The aim was to study the occurrence regularity of fruit physiological disease spongy tissue in Zihua mango (Mangifera indica L. ). [ Meth. od] Main features of disease symptoms of Zihua mango fruit spongy tissue were investigated from 2002 to 2005 ,and the correlation between the incidence of Zihua mango fruit spongy tissue and its external factors ( fruit maturity, fruit size and fruit yield per plant) was analyzed comprehensively. [Result] The main features of disease symptoms appeared depressed cavity in the middle or lower part of fruit, forming spongy-like cavity. Immature fruits basically had no incidence. The dis- ease began to appear before 10 d of maturity. The disease incidence rate had extremely positive correlation with fruit weight, fruit vertical diameter or cross diame- ter. [ Conclusion] The research provides reference for field diagnoses, identification, preharvest and postharvest uninjurous test of fruit physiological disease suonaw tissue. 展开更多

Rice (Oryza sativa L.) or-anging physiological disease in newly reclaimed red earths is related to Fe toxicity. There have been considerable stud-ies on Mn and Fe counteraction, but influence of Mn and Fe counteraction on rice oranging physiological disease stillremains unknown. This paper is to study, using two soils from USA and China respectively, the relationship between Mn and Fecounteraction and the physiological disease. Analysis for water soluble and extractable Fe and Mn showed thatMn/ Fe ratios of the red earths were lower than those of the paddy soils. Fertilizing with Mn raised Mn/ Fe and re-duced oranging leaves, improved growth and increased yields. Analysis with electron probe showed that Mn treat-ment had less Fe deposit in root epidermis and more Ca and Si in roots. The results indicated that fertilizing with Mn could correct Fe toxicity. How to apply Mn and Fe counteractionin practice is worth further studying . 展开更多

Rose (Rosa chinexis Jacq), a traditional Chinese ornamental flower, is widely planted for landscaping in China. Diseases, together with their typical symptoms on R. chinensis in China, are presented in this review. Ten fungal, one bacterial, one viral and one physiological disease are noted in this study respec- tively. Two newly recorded diseases, rose leaf spot caused by ChaetomeUa raphigera and rose leaf blotch caused by Pestalotiopsis clavispom, are also described and illustrated. With the warming climate, the geographic distribution of rose diseases may expand and the losses cause by rose diseases are becoming more serious. Therefore, we must strengthen researches on host-pathogen-changing climate and pay more attentions on adapted management measures as well. 展开更多

The significances of sod culture in peach orchard are introduced, as well as the sod ways. The effects of sod culture in a peach orchard on soil, microclimate and growth and development of peach tree, and disease, pest and weed are reviewed. The problems in sod culture in peach orchard in China are summarized. Sod culture could increase soil fertility, improve soil physical properties, relieve soil temperature change, increase soil microbial growth and soil enzyme activity, improve microclimate and fruit quality, reduce physiological disease, insect pests and weeds. 展开更多

For everybody, the house or the accommodation (and its environment) is a secure place, a haven space, which protects people from constraints of the everyday life. Unfortunately, and more or less everywhere in the third world, accommodation is for a great number of people a source of stress caused by daily obligations that people have to deal with. In Algeria, the majority of the high-rise collective housing estates through the country offers all the ingredients of a constrained urban environment for the inhabitants. For the most of the population, the accommodation appears as a vital need rather than a negotiable good. As a matter of fact, in the third world in general and particularly in Algeria, most of people live in communities where there is a shortage of accommodation and in which the social housing and its environment are often below the standards. Constructed on policies and a conception of housing which does not integrate at all the criteria of the sustainable development, millions of fiats have already been built. Millions are going to be built in the future, and will be of high-rise collective type. As underlined in this paper, it seems reasonable to think that such a degraded built environment will be unfavorable to the inhabitants and will have a negative impact on both their mental and physical health. The attempt is to demonstrate that there are evidences according to which the housing conditions, inside and outside the accommodation, contribute to create psychological distress and physiological diseases. 展开更多

To confirm resistance and genetic rules of Xikemai 6 against physiological races of wheat stripe rust, physiological races CYR31,CYR32 and CYR33,Su11-4 and V26 were inoculated in Xikemai 6 and Mingxian 169 and their hybrid progenies F_1,F_2 and F_3 at adult plant stage on March 2015. The results showed that the resistance of Xikemai 6 against CYR31 was controlled by 2 pairs of dominant genes and a pair of recessive genes; the resistance against CYR32 was controlled by three pairs of dominant resistant genes( two pairs of genes performed cumulative effect); the resistance against CYR33 was controlled by a pair of dominant genes and a pair of recessive genes; the resistance against Su11-4 was controlled by a pair of dominant genes and a pair of recessive genes independently or collaboratively; the resistance against V26 was controlled by a pair of dominant genes independently. Due to good performance of Xikemai 6 in test and production,as well as years of resistance identification and genetic analysis,Xikemai 6 was proved to be an excellent cultivar with good resistance against stripe rust, and the inheritance of its resistance was stable,so Xikemai 6 could be used as a germplasm resource and resistance material with excellent comprehensive character. Molecular marker and localization could be further studied,to provide new resistance parents for disease-resistant breeding of wheat. 展开更多
