Using equation of motion in Green function together with Quantum Kubo-formula of conductivity, the anomalous Hall conductivity is calculated as function of spin-orbit coupling, exchange field and carrier polarization. The calculated result shows that at low impurity concentration, the interplay between spin polarization of carriers, spin-orbit coupling and exchange fields is crucial for existence of anomalous Hall conductivity. The monotonic increment of anomalous Hall conductivity with exchange field is observed for strong spin-orbit coupling limit. In weak spin-orbit coupling limit, the magnitude of anomalous Hall conductivity increases parabolically with the spin-orbit coupling. Our results provide an important basis for understanding the interplay between the spin polarization, spin-orbit coupling, and exchange field on anomalous Hall conductivity at low impurity concentration. The findings are also a key step to realize dissipationless quantum transport without external magnetic field.展开更多

The temperature thermal fluctuations, current and magnetic field unpin the flux vortices and so cause electromagnetic resistivity in high temperature superconductors. Materials with higher vortex pinning exhibit less resistivity and are more attractive for industrial uses. In the present article, we measured and correlated the pinning flux energy barrier, determined by AC magnetic measurements, and transmission electron microscopy measurements to the critical current Jc in Yttrium- and Silver-doped MgB2 superconductors. The energy of the flux vortex was evaluated as a function of the magnetic field. The energy barrier curves suggest an optimal doping level to occur in doped materials. This result only depends on the optimal size and distribution of precipitates, and not on their chemical composition. The energy barriers have been compared with that of undoped MgB2 in literature.展开更多

In addition, a novel cold seeding concept of combining MgO crystal and buffer pellet was also introduced. The misorientation caused by the lattice mismatch between MgO and Gd123 melt was overcome by choosing suitable heat treatment program and Gd2BaCuO5 (Gd211) content of the buffer pellet. The doping effect of soft ferromagnetic NiFe alloy particles was also reported. The bulk sample with 0.4% (mole fraction) doping amount shows the best performance on the flux trapping. The critical current density is largely enhanced under the external field of 1-2 T, which is promising for large-scale applications. This effect is originated from the substitution of Fe and Ni ions for the Cu sites contributing to magnetic flux pinning.展开更多

However, the damping mechanisms employed in the TMDs are mostly based on viscous dampers, which have several well-known disadvantages, such as oil leakage and difficult adjustment of damping ratio for an operating TMD. Alternatively, eddy current damping (ECD) that does not require any contact with the main structure is a potential solution. This paper discusses the design, analysis, manufacture and testing of a large-scale horizontal TMD based on ECD. First, the theoretical model of ECD is formulated, then one large-scale horizontal TMD using ECD is constructed, and finally performance tests of the TMD are conducted. The test results show that the proposed TMD has a very low intrinsic damping ratio, while the damping ratio due to ECD is the dominant damping source, which can be as large as 15% in a proper configuration. In addition, the damping ratios estimated with the theoretical model are roughly consistent with those identified from the test results, and the source of this error is investigated. Moreover, it is demonstrated that the damping ratio in the proposed TMD can be easily adjusted by varying the air gap between permanent magnets and conductive plates. In view of practical applications, possible improvements and feasibility considerations for the proposed TMD are then discussed. It is confirmed that the proposed TMD with ECD is reliable and feasible for use in structural vibration control.展开更多

Based on the principle of electromagnetic induction Faraday, we have designed and realized the nondestructive testing system for stress concentration area of ferromagnetic materials by means of the research of metal materials inverse magnetostrictive effect mechanism. The system changes the influence degree of the stress in ferromagnetic materials’ magnetic conductance to the corresponding voltage array by using discrete wavelet analysis method to process the data, in which not only the measuring accuracy is improved, but also the stress concentration is more directly reflected. The experiments confirm that the electromagnetic stress testing method is feasible and valid.展开更多

OBJECTIVE: To verify the theory of disconnection elicited by repetition disorder in patients with conduction aphasia by comparing the characteristics of diffusion tensor imaging between healthy persons and patients with conduction aphasia. DESIGN: Case-control observation. SETTING: Department of Neurology, Hongqi Hospital Affiliated to Mudanjiang Medical College. PARTICIPANTS: Five male patients with cerebral infarction-involved arcuate fasciculus conduction aphasia, averaged (43±2) years, who hospitalized in the Department of Neurology, Hongqi Hospital Affiliated to Mudanjiang Medical College from February 2004 to February 2005 were involved in this experiment. The involved patients were all confirmed as cerebral infarction by skull CT and MRI, and met the diagnosis criteria revised in 1995 4^th Cerebrovascular Conference. They were examined by the method of Aphasia Battery of Chinese (ABC) edited by Surong Gao. The results were poorer than auditory comprehension disproportionately, and consistented with the mode of conduction aphasia. Another 5 male healthy persons, averaged (43 ± 1 ) years, who were physicians receiving further training in the Department of Neurology, Beijing Tiantan Hospital were also involved in this experiment. Informed consents of detected items were obtained from all the subjects. METHODS: All the subjects were performed handedness assessment with assessment criteria of handedness formulated by Department of Neurology, First Hospital Affiliated to Beijing Medical University. Arcuate fasciculus of involved patients and health controls were analyzed with diffusion tensor imaging (DTI) and divided into 3 parts (anterior, middle and posterior segments) for determining FA value (mean value was obtained after three times of measurements), and a comparison of FA value was made between two sides. MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES: Analysis results of arcuate fasciculus DTI of healthy controls and patients with conduction aphasia. RESULTS: Five patients with conduction aphasia and 5 healthy controls participated in the final analysis. ①All the subjects were right-handedness.② The left FA value of anterior, middle and posterior segments of arcuate fasciculus was larger than the right one in most normal volunteers, i.e. arcuate fasciculus with normal function on the left side was more than that on the right side. Because the amount of healthy controls was small, so positive conclusion has not been obtained, and only above-mentioned tendency was demonstrated. Healthy controls had good bilateral arcuate fasciculus; Three patients with conduction aphasia presented left FA value of anterior segment of arcuate fasciculus smaller than the right one, and two patients presented the left FA value larger than the right one. Four patients presented the left FA value of middle segment of arcuate fasciculus smaller than the right one, and one patient presented the left FA value larger than the right one, i.e. middle segment of arcuate fasciculus of 5 patients with conduction aphasia was all involved in at different degrees. Four patients with conduction aphasia presented the left FA value of posterior segment of arcuate fasciculus smaller than the right one, and one patient presented the left FA value larger than the right one, i.e. posterior segment of arcuate fasciculus of 5 patients was all injured at different degrees. CONCLUSION: Arcuate fasciculus of patients with conduction aphasia all is involved in at different degrees, which verifies the theory of disconnection of repetition disorder in patients with conduction aphasia.展开更多

The temperature-dependent magnetisation reveals the ferromagnetic transition in sample at a low temperature (~186 K). Magnetisation as a function of field H (M H loop) indicated the weak ferromagnetism of the sample at room temperature. The constant e and dielectric loss tg5 measurements represent a ferroelectric phase transition at a higher temperature (~650 K), while the conductivity shows an insulator-metallic transition. The ferro- electric hysterisis loops and capacitance voltage measurements confirm the ferroelectric nature of the sample at room temperature. The observed ferromagnetism and ferroelectric nature in this material suggests a potential multiferroic application.展开更多

This effect is originated from the substitution of Fe and Ni ions for the Cu sites contributing to magnetic flux pinning.

It is confirmed that the proposed TMD with ECD is reliable and feasible for use in structural vibration control.

文摘In order to study the multi-field coupling mechanical behavior of the simply-supported conductive rectangular thin plate under the condition of an externally lateral strong impulsive magnetic field, that is the dynamic buckling phenomenon of the thin plates in the effect of the magnetic volume forces produced by the interaction between the eddy current and the magnetic fields, a FEM analysis program is developed to characterize the phenomena of magnetoelastic buckling and instability of the plates. The critical values of magnetic field for the three different initial vibrating modes are obtained, with a detailed discussion made on the effects of the lengththickness ratio a/h of the plate and the length-width ratio a/b as well as the impulse parameter on the critical value BOcr of the applied magnetic field.
文摘This paper proposes an effective method for early diagnosis (stress concentrating) of the oil-gas pipeline. The experiments confirm that the electromagnetic stress testing method is feasible and valid.
文摘BACKGROUND: It is thought in disconnection theory that connection of anterior and posterior language function areas, i.e. the lesion of arcuate fasciculus causes conduction aphasia. CONCLUSION: Arcuate fasciculus of patients with conduction aphasia all is involved in at different degrees, which verifies the theory of disconnection of repetition disorder in patients with conduction aphasia.

文摘The magnetic, conductivity, and dielectric properties have been investigated in single-phase polycrystalline Y0.1Co1.9MnO4. The observed ferromagnetism and ferroelectric nature in this material suggests a potential multiferroic application.
