The integration of ideological and political theory courses in primary and secondary schools needs to be based on a certain theoretical foundation and follow the necessary principles of teaching practice.In the teachi... The integration of ideological and political theory courses in primary and secondary schools needs to be based on a certain theoretical foundation and follow the necessary principles of teaching practice.In the teaching of ideological and political theory courses in colleges and universities,there are practical problems such as“cross-duplication of teaching materials”,“unreasonable application of teaching methods”,and“evaluation of teaching integration”.This paper is based on solving the practical problems of“cross-duplication of textbook contents”,“unreasonable application of teaching methods”,and“evaluation of teaching integration”in the teaching of ideological and political theory studies in colleges and universities under the integration,and proposes to use the textbook as a carrier for the integration of teaching contents and to make the teaching of Civic and Political Studies in colleges and universities more efficient.We put forward the“three teaching and three reforms”teaching reforms,such as the integrated reform of teaching contents carried by teaching materials,the integrated reform of teaching methods oriented to students,and the integrated reform of teaching evaluation based on the concept of OBE(Outcome Based Education),with a view to solving the teaching problems in the integrated reform of ideological and political theory courses in universities. 展开更多

At present, the reform of the “online and offline blended teaching” of ideological and political education courses directly affects the quality of talent cultivation in universities. The article takes the course “Introduction to Basic Principles of Marxism” as an example to explore the reform mode of “online and offline blended teaching” in ideological and political theory courses in universities from the aspects of reasonable allocation of class hours, design of online teaching activities, how to deepen classroom teaching offline, and diversified assessment modes. Furthermore, the article summarizes the experience of mode reform and promotes the deep development of the people-oriented education concept in ideological and political courses in universities, so as to achieve the ultimate goal of moral education in ideological and political education in universities. 展开更多

Since the Party Central Committee has explicitly requested the running of excellent ideological and political theory courses,the teaching methods of ideological and political theory courses have become a major topic of discussion in academic circles.A gap remains between the current teaching methods of ideological and political theory courses and those in the new era.In order to improve the nurturing effect of key courses,it is necessary to study the basic logic of its effectiveness enhancement from the perspective of practice.In the new era,it is essential to take the spirit from the series of important speeches of the Party and national leaders on ideological and political theory courses as guidance,draw on the effective teaching ideas of Comenius that reflect“fun,”“convenience,”and“thoroughness,”closely combine the teaching practice,as well as select and apply the teaching methods based on the concept of three“combinations”and two“innovations,”i.e.,combining students,teachers’teaching styles,and teaching contents;and innovating and practicing the integrated teaching method of diversified integration as well as the new teaching method of media technology-integrated smart classroom. 展开更多

Within the vast body of scholarship on the Enlightenment,only a small portion addresses the role of China in the debates of that period.Among those,scarcely any concerns the relationship between China and Rousseau's thought.Yet the connections are many,and deep.This essay surveys a body of Chinese political theory available to Rousseau,then compares Rousseau's understanding of sovereignty,the“people,”popular will,public opinion,and the authority of office,with comparable terms present in the Chinese theory available to him.The aim of this exercise is not so much to establish influence,though that can be dificult to deny.Primarily,the essay attermpts to show that Rousseau's system generates contradictions in part because he attempts to combine parliamentary procedure with the conception of sovereignty and the popular will found in his Chinese sources. 展开更多

The education reform of integrating ideological and political theories in all courses is crucial in fostering virtue through education.In the new era,foreign language courses are increasingly prominent in moral education.Learning a language is not just about mastering its language form but also about critically examining the cultural connotations and thinking patterns embedded within it.Therefore,cultivating students’critical thinking skills should be a key focus in foreign language education.First,this paper examines the importance of fostering students’critical thinking in foreign language courses.Second,considering the characteristics of Chinese college foreign language courses,we propose that if we want to cultivate critical thinking among students through foreign language courses,we need to effect pattern transformations across four aspects:teaching philosophy,teaching content,teaching methodology,and teaching evaluation.These transformations also present requirements for foreign language teachers.They should focus on enhancing their comprehensive literacy,including ideological and political literacy,teaching design skills,and the ability to integrate teaching materials with logical thinking.And China’s Standards of English Language Ability(the CSE)serves as an important reference indicator for implementing these transformations. 展开更多

Business negotiation is essentially a kind of economic activity by means of language.Its success depends on the use of language,especially polite wording.This article,in the framework of politeness theory,studies the politeness strategies of business negotiation and emphasizes its importance.This article mainly focuses on negative politeness strategies and positive politeness strategies raised by Brown and Levinson.It discusses specific linguistic strategies of negative politeness and positive politeness from two aspects,words and phrases as well as sentences.It is concluded that negotiators can resort to some pragmatic rules and linguistic patterns to be more polite in business negotiations but they should use these strategies flexibly to suit different situations. 展开更多

In his 2016 essay“An American Utopia,”Fredric Jameson appropriates Lenin’s concept of“dual power”to ruminate on its potential meaning in the present U.S.context.Jameson’s remarks on“dual power”and U.S.politics offer a starting point to explore both the most recent developments in the U.S.and to revisit Lenin’s State and Revolution fruitfully to review the concept of“the commune”as a post-capitalist political theory.Lenin’s work transcends anodyne demands for abstract democracy.Indeed,my intervention aims to explore the limits of“democracy”in U.S.political discourse,demanding a reconsideration of Leninist political theory.In so doing,the conditions of struggle in the U.S.potentialize the dialectical development of struggles to extend democracy(reform)with struggles to overcome democracy(revolution). 展开更多
