The loading of nZVI was 0.1548 ± 0.0015 g/g and the particle size was30–100 nm. NZVI was uniformly dispersed on the pore walls inside the PNIPAm-PHEMA.Because of the well-dispersed n ZVI, the highly porous structure, and the synergistic effect of PNIPAm-PHEMA, nZVI@PNIPAm-PHEMA showed excellent reductive activity and wide p H applicability. 95% of 4-NP in 100 m L of 400 mg/L 4-NP solution with initial p H 3.0–9.0 could be completely reduced into 4-AP by about 0.0548 g of fresh supported n ZVI at 18–25 °C under stirring(110 r/min) within 45 min reaction time. A greater than 99% 4-NP degradation ratio was obtained when the initial p H was 5.0–9.0. The reduction of 4-NP by nZVI@PNIPAm-PHEMA was in agreement with the pseudo-first-order kinetics model with Kobsvalues of 0.0885–0.101 min-1.NZVI@PNIPAm-PHEMA was able to be recycled, and about 85% degradation ratio of 4-NP was obtained after its sixth reuse cycle. According to the temperature sensitivity of PNIPAmPHEMA, n ZVI@PNIPAm-PHEMA exhibited very good storage stability, and about 88.9%degradation ratio of 4-NP was obtained after its storage for 30 days. The hybrid reducer was highly efficient for the reduction of 2-NP, 3-NP, 2-chloro-4-nitrophenol and 2-chloro-4-nitrophenol. However, the obtained results are different. Through repeated experiments, some different and useful information are got, which benefits us in that PL properties of porous silicon can be fully made use of. Firstly, samples with porosity of 76% and 49% were chosen to study the exciting temperature effects on the PL spectrum. For the samples with low porosity, the decreasing temperature causes the peak wavelength to be red-shifting and that of the samples with high porosity to present the blue-shifting trend. The light intensity of both reaches the maximum at -10℃. These experimental results can be well explained with the synthesized center PL model based on the quantum confinement model, other than the PL efficiency function σ(λ). Thereafter, PL properties of PS samples fabricated separately under the temperature of -10℃, 0℃, 10℃, 20℃ and 30℃ were studied. The results indicate that with the decrease of the etching temperature, the PL intensity increases from 406.7 to 716.6 and the peak wavelength blue-shifts from 698.9nm to 671.8nm. The WHFM of the PL spectrum dramatically narrows. At the same time, the images observed by AFM show that with the decreasing temperature, the holes are becoming deeper and the porosity is higher, which suggests that the decreasing temperature accelerates the etching rate.展开更多

The lower horizontal wall of the enclosure is subjected to a temperature varying sinusoidally with the space while the upper horizontal wall is maintained adiabatic. The vertical walls are kept cold isotherm. In order to generalize the results, all governing equations are put into dimensionless form, discretized by the Finite Difference Method and solved by the relaxed Gauss Seidel (SUR) Algorithm. A code has been proposed in Fortran 95, in order to solve numerically the equations of the problem. The study parameters are the Rayleigh-Darcy number (Ra) and the amplitude (Ar) of the hot wall temperature. The effects of the Rayleigh-Darcy number and amplitude on the dynamic and thermal field, the horizontal velocity distribution and the mean horizontal temperature distribution (y = 0.5) were presented and discussed. It emerges from this study that the increases of the amplitude and Rayleigh-Darcy number intensify the flow and the global transfer of heat in our physical domain.展开更多

The SNPs are formed by selective growth on the top of the PAA pore walls. The growth mechanism analysis indicates that the structure of the SNPs can be modulated by the pore spacing of the PAA and the sputtering process and is independent of the wall width of the PAA. Moreover, nanocrystals are identified by using transmission electron microscopy in the as-deposited SNP samples, which are related to the heat isolation structure of the SNPs. The Raman focus depth profile reveals a high crystallization ratio on the surface.展开更多

Based on the results of the in-situ environmental scanning electron microscope, electrochemical analyses, and limiting current method, a water-induced phosphoric acid invasion model is constructed in the porous electrode to elucidate the failure causations of the hindered hydrogen mass transport and the enhanced carbon monoxide poisoning. To optimize the phosphoric acid distribution under the inevitably humidified circumstance, a facile and effective strategy of constructing acid-proofed electrode is proposed and demonstrates outstanding stability with highly humidified reformate gases as anode fuel. This work discusses a potential defect that was rarely studied previously under practical working circumstance for high temperature polymer electrolyte membrane fuel cells, providing an alternative opinion of electrode design based on the fundamental aspects towards the engineering problems.展开更多

First, the constructal design of rectangular porous fin is conducted by selecting a complex function minimization, which composed of linear weighting sum of maximum temperature difference and pumping power consumption, as optimization objective. Effects of gap height, air inlet velocity, total porous fin volume and porosity on the optimal constructs are investigated, respectively. The findings show that the complex function can attain its double minimum at a value of 0.802 when the fin length and number are optimized, and the corresponding optimal fin length and number are 8.01 mm and 10, respectively. In comparison to original design, the complex function and maximum temperature difference after twice optimization are decreased by 19.80% and 66.31%, respectively.Second, the comprehensive performance of porous fin is improved by simultaneously optimizing the fin length and number. The artificial neural network is applied to predict the fin performances, which is used to conduct multi-objective optimization based on NSGA-II algorithm. Optimal structure of porous fin for multiple requirements is gained by LINMAP and TOPSIS decisionmaking strategies. The findings in this study can serve as theoretical guides for fin thermal designs of electronic devices.展开更多

文摘A coupled heat and formaldehyde migration model based on the non-equilibrium thermodynamic theory and molecule movement theory was developed. The effect of temperature on the transport coefficients was simulated, and the simulation results were validated with experimental data from the literatures. The calculation shows that air exchange rate larger than 2 h-1 should be prevented,if the purpose is only for formaldehyde emissions control. The effects of temperature on formaldehyde migration are obvious.

文摘Heat and mass transfer of a porous permeable wall in a high temperature gas dynamical flow is considered. Numerical simulation is conducted on the ground of the conjugate mathematical model which includes filtration and heat transfer equations in a porous body and boundary layer equations on its surface. Such an approach enables one to take into account complex interaction between heat and mass transfer in the gasdynamical flow and in the structure subjected to this flow. The main attention is given to the impact of the intraporous heat transfer intensity on the transpiration cooling efficiency.

文摘To improve the defense capability of military equipment under extreme conditions,impact-resistant and high-energy-consuming materials have to be developed. The damping characteristic of entangled porous metallic wire materials(EPMWM)for vibration isolation was previously investigated. In this paper,a study focusing on the impact-resistance of EPMWM with the consideration of ambient temperature is presented. The quasi-static and low-velocity impact mechanical behavior of EPMWM under different temperatures(25℃-300℃)are systematically studied. The results of the static compression test show that the damping energy dissipation of EPMWM increases with temperature while the nonlinear damping characteristics are gradually enhanced.During the impact experiments, the impact energy loss rate of EPMWM was between 65%and 85%,while the temperatures increased from 25℃to 300℃.Moreover,under the same drop impact conditions, the overall deformation of EPMWM decreases in the temperature range of 100℃-200℃.On the other hand, the impact stiffness, energy dissipation, and impact loss factor of EPMWM significantly increase with temperature. This can be attributed to an increase in temperature, which changes the thermal expansion coefficient and contact state of the internal wire helixes.Consequently, the energy dissipation mode(dry friction, air damping, and plastic deformation)of EPMWM is also altered. Therefore, the EPMWM may act as a potential candidate material for superior energy absorption applications.

文摘The measurements of temperature and moisture content of a wet porous material were accomplished on the micro-seconds scale. The temperature wave was observed when the wet porous material was heated by short-pulsed laser with high power. It firstly revealed that the moisture content of wet porous material rapidly rises twice in one laser irradiation. The influences of laser parameters, the thickness and initial moisture content of the wet porous material on its temperature and moisture content were investigated.
文摘Ultra-high temperature ceramics(UHTCs)are a family of borides, carbides and nitrides of transition elements such as hafnium, zirconium, tantalum and niobium. They exhibit the highest known melting points, good mechanical strength, good chemical and thermal stability under certain conditions. In last decade, researchers dedicated to characterize porous UHTCs aiming to develop novel thermal insulating materials that could withstand temperatures over 2000℃.In this article, the preparation and characteristics of porous UHTCs were reviewed.Dry processing, colloidal processing and solution processing routes have been used to prepare porous UHTCs with porosities ranging from 5%to 97%and pore sizes ranging from hundreds of nanometers to hundreds of micrometers. The obtained porous UHTCs are chemically and dimensionally stable at temperatures up to 2000℃ during static state high-temperature thermal aging.
文摘The temperature effects on the photoluminescence(PL) properties of porous silicon(PS) have been observed in the early stage. At the same time, the images observed by AFM show that with the decreasing temperature, the holes are becoming deeper and the porosity is higher, which suggests that the decreasing temperature accelerates the etching rate.
文摘This current study focuses on the simulation of natural convection in square cavity filled with a porous medium considered homogenous, isotropic and saturated by a Newtonian fluid obeying the law of Darcy and the hypothesis of Boussinesq. It emerges from this study that the increases of the amplitude and Rayleigh-Darcy number intensify the flow and the global transfer of heat in our physical domain.

文摘Well-aligned and closely-packed silicon nanopillar (SNP) arrays are fabricated by using a simple method with magnetron sputtering of Si on a porous anodic alumina (PAA) template at room temperature. The Raman focus depth profile reveals a high crystallization ratio on the surface.

文摘With the rapid development of flexible and portable microelectronics, the extreme demand for miniaturized, mechanically flexible, and integrated microsystems are strongly stimulated.Here,biomass-derived carbons(BDCs)are prepared by KOH activation using Qamgur precursor, exhibiting three-dimensional(3D)hierarchical porous structure.Benefiting from unobstructed 3D hierarchical porous structure,BDCs provide an excellent specific capacitance of 433 F g^(-1)and prominent cyclability without capacitance degradation after 50000 cycles at 50 A g^(-1).Furthermore,BDC-based planar micro-supercapacitors(MSCs)without metal collector, prepared by mask-assisted coating, exhibit outstanding areal-specific capacitance of 84 mF cm^(-2)and areal energy density of 10.6μWh cm^(-2),exceeding most of the previous carbon-based MSCs.Impressively, the MSCs disclose extraordinary flexibility with capacitance retention of almost 100%under extreme bending state.More importantly,a flexible planar integrated system composed of the MSC and temperature sensor is assembled to efficiently monitor the temperature variation, providing a feasible route for flexible MSC-based functional micro-devices.

文摘Engineering failure of membrane electrode assembly caused by increasingly fuel poisoning in the high temperature polymer electrolyte membrane fuel cells fed with humidified reformate gases is firstly demonstrated herein this work. This work discusses a potential defect that was rarely studied previously under practical working circumstance for high temperature polymer electrolyte membrane fuel cells, providing an alternative opinion of electrode design based on the fundamental aspects towards the engineering problems.

文摘A heat dissipation model of a rectangular porous fin is established based on constructal theory. The findings in this study can serve as theoretical guides for fin thermal designs of electronic devices.
