Mathesius, Jakobson, Trubetzkoy, played a landmark role to the development of linguistics during that periods, leaving a rich heritage on ideas to the descendants. And even their influences went beyond the scope of linguistics. The dynamic study to many aspects of linguistics made them win a permanent position.
