Using methods such as questionnaire survey and literature review,a survey was conducted on the professional development of physical education teachers in Huaiji County under the background of the new curriculum standa...Using methods such as questionnaire survey and literature review,a survey was conducted on the professional development of physical education teachers in Huaiji County under the background of the new curriculum standards.The research results found that physical education teachers in Huaiji County have a relatively good distribution structure in terms of teaching experience,age,and education level,but the gender ratio and professional title ratio need to be improved.In terms of professional competence,teachers have shown good performance in teaching implementation ability,but there is still room for improvement in teaching design ability.A certain proportion of teachers still express dissatisfaction with professional title promotion,hardware configuration satisfaction,salary and benefits,and school reward mechanisms.Based on this,this study proposes some measures to improve the professional development level of county-level physical education teachers,such as enhancing teachers teaching design and implementation abilities,strengthening the cultivation of technical action demonstration abilities,improving hardware configuration satisfaction and teaching effectiveness reflection level,strengthening guidance and support for teachers professional development,and enhancing the promotion and implementation of post employment training.展开更多

The former encompasses a wide range of teachereducation initiatives at the levels of diploma, bachelor’s degree, postgraduate diploma, and even master’s degree for teacher licensure purposes. These are widely documented in the literature.What is important is how teacher professional development contributes to bolstering the teachereducator force, which is relatively insufficiently documented due to the very fact that different educational systems have somewhat different expectations of such programs in relation to the ideologies and theories underpinning the teacher professional development program design and curriculum offering. Taking stock of a postgraduate diploma program in English language teaching(PGDELT) for teachers’ continuing professional development with a 31-year history housed at a premier teacher education institution in Singapore, which has successfully graduated over 1, 000 English language teachers for colleges and universities in China, I intend to highlight some of its key features, as a former student and then a lecturer on the program, in order to draw implications for sustainable growth of language teacher education programs, especially those whose main purposes are to prepare teachers of English as a second or foreign language(ESL/EFL) and provide continuing professional development opportunities for such inservice teachers.展开更多

Related to that, EE was found to be an important subject that must be known by the teachers, prior to teach EE indirectly in the classroom. Problems occurred while implementing EE in schools such as;less knowledge about EE an extra burden among teachers to teach. At Teachers Training Institute (TTI), EE is a compulsory subject due to complete their training and this study carried out to identify the attitude of teaching EE among pre-service teachers’. The reliability of the items showed 0.830 cronbach’s alpha. One hundred and twenty five respondents among pre-service teachers’ were analyzed and the result shows pre-service teachers’ have positive attitude towards teaching EE in classroom. An empirical study is carried out to compare the teachers’ knowledge level of 91 normal students under three different educational probation modes: tutorial system, non-tutorial system, and routine system. Quantitative analysis shows that except English knowledge, the tutorial system is more conducive to promoting normal students’ mastery of educational theory knowledge, general curriculum knowledge, English curriculum knowledge, English teaching knowledge, and students’ knowledge, and the development of these kinds of knowledge is relatively balanced. This study is helpful for teacher educators to provide guidance and help for pre-service English teachers to maximize the benefits of educational probation.展开更多

The research was conducted in accordance with screening ...The purpose of this study is to examine the relationship between the personality traits of physical education teachers working in secondary schools in Istanbul. The research was conducted in accordance with screening model. The research group is formed by physical education teachers who are working in public and private secondary schools which are connected to the Ministry of National Education in Istanbul in 2012-2013 academic years. Among the participants, 36.8% is formed by female physical education teachers, and 63.2% is formed by male physical education teachers. PERI (personality inventory) short form is used. PERI is formed by five subcomponents: openness to experience, sense of responsibility, extroversion, coherence and emotional stability. Assessment instrument was applied to participants with the face-to-face technique by the researcher. Findings were obtained by using T Test, Kruskal-Wallis Test and Mann-Whitney U Test in the analysis of research data. Consequently, it is understood that physical education teachers had low scores on emotional stability personality traits and so they were not adequate. In openness to experience, extroversion, coherence and sense of responsibility subcomponents, it is understood that they had higher scores and they were adequate. Besides, there is no significant difference found between gender, school type and years of service variables and personality traits (P 〈 0.05).展开更多

The aim of this study is to analyze engagement in a group of 132 high school teachers from various schools in the private sector and identify its relationship with the commitment variable. The results of the work of this group in three dimensions are presented in this study: vigor, dedication, and absorption; the correlation data are also presented with organizational commitment in three dimensions: affective, normative and temporal (or continuity). With these results the aim is to find predictive evidence among teachers who score significantly in the three dimensions of engagement and the three dimensions of commitment.展开更多

文摘Based on the theoretical perspective of educational ecology,the basic situation of professional development of rural physical education teachers in Deqing County and the restricting factors in the process of professional development were investigated and analyzed by using the methods of literature review,questionnaire survey and mathematical statistic analysis,aiming to find out the problems existing in the professional development of rural physical education teachers in Deqing County.The targeted optimization strategies were explored,so as to achieve the effects of enriching the research theory of professional development of rural physical education teachers,improving the quality of physical education in rural schools,inheriting excellent rural sports culture,driving the development of rural mass sports,promoting the construction of rural material and spiritual civilization,and improving the quality of rural human capital.According to the research,the gender structure of rural physical education teachers in Deqing County was unreasonable;the teachers were undertaken heavy teaching task;there was a shortage of highly educated people;some teachers lacked understanding and attention to the connotation of professional development;the teachers had insufficient knowledge of educational science;teachers’sense of responsibility needed to be strengthened;schools did not pay enough attention to teachers’continuing education and training,and teachers were less satisfied with training.
文摘The purpose of this study is to examine the relationship between the personality traits of physical education teachers working in secondary schools in Istanbul. The research was conducted in accordance with screening model. The research group is formed by physical education teachers who are working in public and private secondary schools which are connected to the Ministry of National Education in Istanbul in 2012-2013 academic years. Among the participants, 36.8% is formed by female physical education teachers, and 63.2% is formed by male physical education teachers. PERI (personality inventory) short form is used. PERI is formed by five subcomponents: openness to experience, sense of responsibility, extroversion, coherence and emotional stability. Assessment instrument was applied to participants with the face-to-face technique by the researcher. Findings were obtained by using T Test, Kruskal-Wallis Test and Mann-Whitney U Test in the analysis of research data. Consequently, it is understood that physical education teachers had low scores on emotional stability personality traits and so they were not adequate. In openness to experience, extroversion, coherence and sense of responsibility subcomponents, it is understood that they had higher scores and they were adequate. Besides, there is no significant difference found between gender, school type and years of service variables and personality traits (P 〈 0.05).
文摘China has a large base of aging population, and its speed entering the aging society and the growth rate are higher than the average level of the world;however, China's awareness and actions against the population aging are relatively backward. Aging education is an important part of lifelong education;more importantly, it is an important manifestation of education to deal with the aging society. The interest education of retired college teachers is an important component of the aging education and lifelong education;laying a solid foundation for the interest education of retired college teachers would make great contributions to China's aging education. Helping the retired college teachers to realize second advancement and promotion of their enterprises, as well as realizing self-values via the guiding method of interest education is an essential way under the scientific outlook on development. The realization of the interest education of retired college teachers lies in three steps;i.e. intensifying college teachers' acknowledgement of the interest education, building and perfecting the interest education institutions for the college teachers, as well as conducting the interest education of the retired college teachers.
文摘This paper discusses the notion of commitment--a construct used in the psychology of work--and engagement, as hypothetically opposed to the concept of burnout used in the paradigm of positive psychology. The aim of this study is to analyze engagement in a group of 132 high school teachers from various schools in the private sector and identify its relationship with the commitment variable. The results of the work of this group in three dimensions are presented in this study: vigor, dedication, and absorption; the correlation data are also presented with organizational commitment in three dimensions: affective, normative and temporal (or continuity). With these results the aim is to find predictive evidence among teachers who score significantly in the three dimensions of engagement and the three dimensions of commitment.
文摘This study integrated instrumental and relational approaches to the teaching and learning of solids in a preservice teacher's class. The researcher guided the preservice teachers to gather various prisms, pyramids, and spheres to study the total surface areas and volumes. At the end of the integrated models, the test scores showed closed relationships in the concurrent instructional strategies of the integrated models. The researcher therefore, recommended the design models for the teaching and learning of solids in mathematics.

文摘This article briefly introduces the successful experience of American "Compensatory Education Program", British "Education Action Zone", French"Priority Education Zone Policy" and Japanese "Regular Flow of TeachersSystem", which are about the optimal allocation of compulsory education teacher resources allocation. Corresponding enlightenment has been gotten based on it. In addition, this article holds the opinion that we can focus on the reference and practice of Japan, and implement the regular flow of teachers. The main reason is that China has possessed the key condition of carrying out this system.
文摘This thesis makes an analysis of the current situation of higher vocational education teachers, illustrates professional ability constitution of teachers engaged in higher vocational education, and discusses the approaches to cultivate young teachers. It finally arrives at a conclusion that in order to enable young teachers to grow into excellent higher vocational education teachers, there should be the cultivation of creativity of young teachers on the basis of cultivation of general ability and special ability; moreover, young teachers should be continuously encouraged, vocational education recognition be improved, and vocational education teachers construction be stabilized.
