Reusing business process models and best practices can improve the productivity, quality and agility in the early development phases of enterprise software systems. To help developers reuse the business process models...Reusing business process models and best practices can improve the productivity, quality and agility in the early development phases of enterprise software systems. To help developers reuse the business process models and best practices, we propose a methodology and an integrated environment for business process modeling driven by the metamodel. Furthermore, we propose a process-template design method to unify the granularity and separate the commonality and variability of business processes so that business process models can be reused across different enterprise software systems. The proposed methodology enables to create reuse-oriented business process templates before the business process modeling. To support the proposed methodology, we developed an integrated environment for creating, reusing and verifying the business process models. As the key techniques, we describe the methodology and its integrated environment, including a metamodel and notations. We applied the methodology and integrated environment to an actual enterprise software development project, and evaluated that the productivity of business process modeling is improved by at least 46%. As the conclusion, this paper contributes to prove the effectiveness of the meta-model driven business process modeling methodology for the reuse of business process models.展开更多

With consideration of the characte...In order to study the major performance indicators of the twin-rotor piston engine(TRPE), Matlab/simulink was used to simulate the mathematical models of its thermodynamic processes. With consideration of the characteristics of the working processes in the TRPE, corresponding differential equations were established and then simplified by period features of the TRPE. Finally, the major boundary conditions were figured out. The changing trends of mass, pressure and temperature of working fuel in the working chamber during a complete engine cycle were presented. The simulation results are consistent with the trends of an actual working cycle in the TRPE, which indicates that the method of simulation is feasible. As the pressure in the working chamber is calculated, all the performance parameters of the TRPE can be obtained. The major performance indicators, such as the indicated mean effective pressure, power to weight ratio and the volume power, are also acquired. Compared with three different types of conventional engines, the TRPE has a bigger utilization ratio of cylinder volume, a higher power to weight ratio and a more compact structure. This indicates that TRPE is superior to conventional engines.展开更多

Based on the behavioral characteristics and hierarchical structure of the collision avoidance decision-making in real life driving, delphi approach and mathematical statistics method are introduced to construct pair-wise comparison judgment matrix of collision avoidance decision choices to each collision situation. Analytic hierarchy process (AHP) is adopted to establish the agents' collision avoidance decision-making model. To simulate drivers' characteristics, driver factors are added to categorize driving modes into impatient mode, normal mode, and the cautious mode. The results show that this model can simulate human's thinking process, and the agents in the virtual environment can deal with collision situations and make decisions to avoid collisions without intervention. The model can also reflect diversity and uncertainly of real life driving behaviors, and solves the multi-objective, multi-choice ranking priority problem in multi-vehicle collision scenarios. This collision avoidance model of multi-agents model is feasible and effective, and can provide richer and closer-to-life virtual scene for driving simulator, reflecting real-life traffic environment more truly, this model can also promote the practicality of driving simulator.展开更多

At present, the interoperability between battlefield environment simulation system and command and control system is still imperfect, and the traditional simulation data model cannot meet war fighters’ high-efficient and accurate understanding and analysis on battlefield environment’s information. Therefore, a kind of task-orientated battlefield environment simulation process model needs to be construed to effectively analyze the key information demands of the command and control system. The structured characteristics of tasks and simulation process are analyzed, and the simulation process concept model is constructed with the method of object-orientated. The data model and formal syntax of GeoBML are analyzed, and the logical model of simulation process is constructed with formal language. The object data structure of simulation process is defined and the object model of simulation process which maps tasks is constructed. In the end, the battlefield environment simulation platform modules are designed and applied based on this model, verifying that the model can effectively express the real-time dynamic correlation between battlefield environment simulation data and operational tasks.展开更多

A procedure incorporating the Newton-Raphson method is devised for solving the model equations. Separation of an ethanol-water binary mixture is simulated and analyzed with the model. Two pinch points are found within the process, making the separation extremely difficult and expensive. Two sharp fronts in the temperature and the composition profiles are being observed. With the introduction of heat integration, satisfactory separation may be obtained in a limited number of stages with lower reflux ratios. Increasing the pressure difference between the rectifying and the stripping sections, however, would bring about a reduced relative volatility between the two components involved, creating adverse separation performances. It is obvious that optimization of the IHIDiC is of prime importance.展开更多

Its objective is to shorten product life cycle, improve product quality and reduce product cost. Modeling the concurrent engineering product development process (CEPDP) is a key part of this process which has attracted the attention of researchers and engineers around the world. This paper focuses on a newly developed and potentially powerful CEPDP modeling philosophy——integrated multi view modeling (IMVM), by which managers can foresee the evolution of a product from its conception to its disposal and consider all the important factors in its production before a project is launched. CEPDP/IMVM is a product oriented modeling method. A modeling environment is used to establish a systematic model including different aspects of the process such as product information, development activities, enterprise resources, and organizational structure. The integration within an IMVM model should accurately reflect the PDPs dynamic characteristics and provide necessary information for monitoring and coordinating processes.展开更多
