However, this feed resource does not meet animal n...Natural pastures constitute a major component of ruminant livestock feed, and are the most cost-effective feed resource available for smallholder subsistence farmers. However, this feed resource does not meet animal nutritional requirement due to deficiency in nitrogen, energy and minerals. In addition, at maturity lignification is the major concern since it reduces digestibility and contributes to methane emission. Thus, the objective of this study was to evaluate the effect of supplementing low-quality Eragrostis grass hay with five (9281, 11,252, 11,255, 11,595 and 11,604) selected Stylosanthes scabra accessions on in vitro ruminal fermentation and neutral detergent fiber degradation. Therefore, in vitro study was conducted on grass hay, accessions and the mixture of grass hay with each accession included at two (15%, 30%) levels. The substrates (grass hay, accessions and the mixtures) were incubated in separate serum bottles for 72 h. Neutral detergent fiber (NDF) of the accessions ranged from 300 to 350 g/kg DM with crude protein (CP) value ranging from 177.5 to 184.1 g/kg DM. Eragrostis grass hay had NDF value of 813 g/kg DM, with CP value of 34.3 g/kg DM. Grass hay fermented slowly, it took 30 h for grass hay to produce gas volume above 50 mL, while Stylosanthes scabra accessions took 12 h. Supplementing grass hay with accessions significantly improved fermentation. However, it was observed that 15% inclusion took 30 h to produce gas volume above 50 mL, whereas at 30% inclusions it took 24 h for accession 9281, 11,595 and 11,604. Accession 11,604 improve grass fermentation by almost three times the value of grass hay in 2 h. Grass hay supplemented with accession 11,604 at 30% had a positive associative effect and significantly improved NDF degradability. In conclusion, accession 11,604 may be fed strategically as forage supplement to low-quality forage for ruminants.展开更多

Pesticide overuse has caused a series of negative health and environmental e...Chinese farmers are often accused of overusing pesticides that play a crucial role in enhancing crop yield by reducing losses to crop pests. Pesticide overuse has caused a series of negative health and environmental externalities. This paper quantiifes the productivity effect and the optimal amount of pesticides in rice, cotton and maize production in China from the economic perspective. Using survey data col ected in 2012 and 2013, both Cobb-Douglas and Weibul damage control speciifcations are used to estimate the production function. Results show that pesticides have statistical y signiifcant pro-ductivity effect on crop yield. On the condition of Weibul damage control speciifcations, the marginal products of 1 kg of the active ingredients of pesticides for rice, cotton and maize are 71.06, 22.73 and 98.45 kg, respectively. However, 57, 64 and 17%of the actual amount of pesticides are overused for rice, cotton and maize, respectively. Moreover, the productivity effect of pesticides would be overestimated using Cobb-Douglas speciifcation without incorporating a damage control agent.展开更多

The results show that in Shouguang City,sunshine duration in a year and each season reduced obviously from 1961 to 2013,and sunshine duration in a year and autumn changed suddenly in the 1990s,while sunshine duration in winter and spring changed suddenly in the 1980s. There existed obvious periodic variations of sunshine duration in a year and various seasons from 1961 to 2013. The reduction of sunshine duration and the increase of cloudy days resulted in the decrease in the yield of crops in solar greenhouses,so some effective measures should be taken to enhance the light intensity and time in solar greenhouses to promote crop growth.展开更多
The spatiotemporal characteristics of hydrothermal resources in southern rice production area of China have changed under the background of climate change,and this change would affect the effectiveness of hydrothermal...The spatiotemporal characteristics of hydrothermal resources in southern rice production area of China have changed under the background of climate change,and this change would affect the effectiveness of hydrothermal resources during local rice growing period.According to the cropping system subdivision in southern rice production area of China during 1980s,this study used climate data from 254 meteorological stations and phonological data from 168 agricultural observation stations in the south of China,and adopted 6 international evaluation indices about the effectiveness of hydrothermal resources to analyze the temporal and spatial characteristics of hydrothermal resources during the growing period of single cropping rice system and double cropping rice system for 16 planting zones in the whole study area.The results showed that:in southern rice production area of China,the effectiveness of thermal resources of single cropping rice area(SCRA) was less than that of double cropping rice area(DCRA),whereas the effectiveness of thermal resources of both SARA and DCRA showed a decreasing trend.The index value of effective precipitation satisfaction of SCRA was higher than that of DCRA,nevertheless the index value of effective precipitation satisfaction of both SCRA and DCRA showed a decreasing trend.There was a significant linear relationship between effective thermal resource and water demand,likely water demand increased by 18 mm with every 100°C d increase of effective heat.Effective precipitation satisfaction index(EPSI) showed a negative correlation with effective heat,yet showed a positive correlation with effective precipitation.EPSI reduced by 1% when effective heat resource increased by 125°C d.This study could provide insights for policy makers,land managers or farmers to improve water and heat resource uses and rationally arrange rice production activities under global climate change condition.展开更多

Two fiel...Applying mathematic models to evaluate absorbed-N effects on dry matter production at different developmental stages would help determine proper nitrogen management according to crop demands and yield target. Two field trials were carried out for establishing absorbed-N effects on dry matter production(ANEDr) model, using uniform design in 2010–2011and 2012–2013 winter wheat growing seasons in Hebei Province, China. Another field trial was carried out in 2010–2011for model validation. Dry matter and N concentration in leaf and non-leaf organs were measured at setting, jointing, anthesis, and maturity. Theory of best linear unbiased prediction(BLUP) was applied to analyse the N effects of leaf and non-leaf organs on dry matter production. Within ANEDr model, four N-affected phases at each stage were concerned,leaf absorbed-N effect before this stage, non-leaf organ absorbed-N effect before this stage,leaf absorbed-N effect at this stage, and non-leaf organ absorbed-N effect at this stage. In addition, developmental processes, genotype characters and temperature were three factors that determine each N effect. It was demonstrated that ANEDr model can precisely quantify absorbed-N effects on dry matter production with high correlation coefficient(r=0.95). Comparing with other models, ANEDr model considered both leaf and non-leaf organs according to developmental processes of winter wheat, showed higher flexibility and simplicity, thus could be applied to different environments, cultivars and crops after parameter adjustment.展开更多

[Objectives] This study aimed to investigate the hypolipidemic effects of different processed products of Ilex hainanensis Merr to provide experimental basis for the research on the hypolipidemic mechanism of I. haina...[Objectives] This study aimed to investigate the hypolipidemic effects of different processed products of Ilex hainanensis Merr to provide experimental basis for the research on the hypolipidemic mechanism of I. hainanensis Merr. [Methods] SD rats were fed high-fat diet to establish hyperlipidemia rat models. The hyperlipidemia rats were administered with different processed products of I. hainanensis Merr by gavage to investigate the preventive and therapeutic effects of the medicinal material. [Results] The levels of total cholesterol(TC), triglyceride(TG), low density lipoprotein cholesterol(LDL-C) in the rats fed high-fat diet were significantly higher than those in of the control group(P<0.01), indicating successful modeling. Among different processing methods, the hypolipidemic effects were in the order as baking=traditional processing=frying=microwaving>drying in shade. Among different baking times, the hypolipidemic effects ranked as 180 ℃>200 ℃=220 ℃. Among different baking times, the hypolipidemic effects ranked as 20 min=40 min>30 min. The hypolipidemic effects of processed product of I. hainanensis Merr with different amounts of active ingredients were different. [Conclusions] The processed products of I. hainanensis Merr all had hypolipidemic effects, but the effects were different. This study will provide a scientific basis for expanding the resources of I. hainanensis Merr.展开更多

Thus, previous studies have failed to effectively mine the value of product information diffusion on social networks. In this study, based on the information diffusion product in consumer self-organized social networks, the control of the product information diffusion process was explored. The node identification principle of the QR code sender designed in this study and the linked list that associated information with specific nodes allowed the acquisition of effective traces in long-chain transmission from the information source to the value nodes, and solved user information disclosure during the transmission process. Theory of best linear unbiased prediction(BLUP) was applied to analyse the N effects of leaf and non-leaf organs on dry matter production. Within ANEDr model, four N-affected phases at each stage were concerned,leaf absorbed-N effect before this stage, non-leaf organ absorbed-N effect before this stage,leaf absorbed-N effect at this stage, and non-leaf organ absorbed-N effect at this stage. In addition, developmental processes, genotype characters and temperature were three factors that determine each N effect. It was demonstrated that ANEDr model can precisely quantify absorbed-N effects on dry matter production with high correlation coefficient(r=0.95). Comparing with other models, ANEDr model considered both leaf and non-leaf organs according to developmental processes of winter wheat, showed higher flexibility and simplicity, thus could be applied to different environments, cultivars and crops after parameter adjustment.

文摘To figure out the influence of isotope effect on product polarizations of the N(2D)+D2 reactive system and its isotope variants, quasi-classical trajectory(QCT) calculation was performed on Ho's potential energy surface(PES) of 2A″ state. Product polarizations such as product distributions of P(θr), P(φr) and P(θr,φr), as well as the generalized polarization-dependent differential cross sections(PDDCSs) were discussed and compared in detail among the four product channels of the title reactions. Both the intermolecular and intramolecular isotope effects were proved to be influential on product polarizations.
文摘An obvious warming in China induced by doubled carbon, dioxide as simulated by the climatic models have been found. It is also noticed that there might be drying or wetting in some parts of China induced by doubled CO2 as simulated by the general circulation models(GCMs). Agricultural productivity mainly depends on the temperature, rainfall and soil moisture in China. The changes of agricultural productivity in the different parts of China induced by doubled CO2 have been estimated in this paper. It is shown that the greenhouse effect might cause increasing production in some parts of China and decreasing production in other parts of China.

文摘[Objectives] This study aimed to investigate the hypolipidemic effects of different processed products of Ilex hainanensis Merr to provide experimental basis for the research on the hypolipidemic mechanism of I. hainanensis Merr. [Methods] SD rats were fed high-fat diet to establish hyperlipidemia rat models. The hyperlipidemia rats were administered with different processed products of I. hainanensis Merr by gavage to investigate the preventive and therapeutic effects of the medicinal material. [Results] The levels of total cholesterol(TC), triglyceride(TG), low density lipoprotein cholesterol(LDL-C) in the rats fed high-fat diet were significantly higher than those in of the control group(P<0.01), indicating successful modeling. Among different processing methods, the hypolipidemic effects were in the order as baking=traditional processing=frying=microwaving>drying in shade. Among different baking times, the hypolipidemic effects ranked as 180 ℃>200 ℃=220 ℃. Among different baking times, the hypolipidemic effects ranked as 20 min=40 min>30 min. The hypolipidemic effects of processed product of I. hainanensis Merr with different amounts of active ingredients were different. [Conclusions] The processed products of I. hainanensis Merr all had hypolipidemic effects, but the effects were different. This study will provide a scientific basis for expanding the resources of I. hainanensis Merr.
文摘Information dissemination has become part of people’s daily communication and there is great interest for both academic and industrial communities. Most previous studies have focused on the strategy and mechanisms. The methods controlling the process of information diffusion have rarely been studied. Thus, previous studies have failed to effectively mine the value of product information diffusion on social networks. In this study, based on the information diffusion product in consumer self-organized social networks, the control of the product information diffusion process was explored. The node identification principle of the QR code sender designed in this study and the linked list that associated information with specific nodes allowed the acquisition of effective traces in long-chain transmission from the information source to the value nodes, and solved user information disclosure during the transmission process. This method was applied to the tracing system of defective vehicles, achieving accurate recall of defective vehicles.

文摘[Objectives] This study was conducted to study the anti-gout effect of Phellodendron amurense and its different processed products.[Methods] Extracts of P. amurense and its different processed products were fed to rats respectively, to observe uric acid and creatinine in the serum and swelling index.[Results] Compared with the data of positive control, P. amurense and the processed products could significantly reduce the high uric acid and creatinine in the serum, and also could resist the swelling in rats.[Conclusions] P. amurense and its processed products showed different degrees of anti-gout effect, and the processing methods were found to have no remarkable impact on this effect.
