Project-based learning theory is applied in Software English course. The aim is to develop students＇ professional skill. A professional skill scale of software engineer is introduced with Software English communicative skill （reading skill, writing skill, listening skill, and communicative skill）, engineering thinking habit （skill of design the plan and problem-solving skill）, engineering thinking skill, knowledge of software engineering, and Emotion Quotient to deal with problems （Team spirit and communicative skill and self-assessment skill）. For software majors, students learn about five stages and job responsibilities in software making process.

City Professionals Bring Their Skills to Countryside

In October 1995 eight departments of the central government and the Party central committee, including the Ministry of Culture and the CPC Publicity Department, jointly launched a national program to send culture （principally entertainment） to the countryside. In 1996, under the joint sponsorship of ten departments of the central authorities, the national program broadened to include science/technology and medical services. The program, known as ＂Three Things for the Countryside,＂ has been executed for ten years. How good is their effect？ What are peasants＇ reactions to the program？ To find an answer, these reporters have recently visited Tianjin, Hunan and Shandong.

Contribution of the MERISE-Type Conceptual Data Model to the Construction of Monitoring and Evaluation Indicators of the Effectiveness of Training in Relation to the Needs of the Labor Market in the Republic of Congo

This study proposes the use of the MERISE conceptual data model to create indicators for monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of vocational training in the Republic of Congo. The importance of MERISE for structuring and analyzing data is underlined, as it enables the measurement of the adequacy between training and the needs of the labor market. The innovation of the study lies in the adaptation of the MERISE model to the local context, the development of innovative indicators, and the integration of a participatory approach including all relevant stakeholders. Contextual adaptation and local innovation: The study suggests adapting MERISE to the specific context of the Republic of Congo, considering the local particularities of the labor market. Development of innovative indicators and new measurement tools: It proposes creating indicators to assess skills matching and employer satisfaction, which are crucial for evaluating the effectiveness of vocational training. Participatory approach and inclusion of stakeholders: The study emphasizes actively involving training centers, employers, and recruitment agencies in the evaluation process. This participatory approach ensures that the perspectives of all stakeholders are considered, leading to more relevant and practical outcomes. Using the MERISE model allows for: • Rigorous data structuring, organization, and standardization: Clearly defining entities and relationships facilitates data organization and standardization, crucial for effective data analysis. • Facilitation of monitoring, analysis, and relevant indicators: Developing both quantitative and qualitative indicators helps measure the effectiveness of training in relation to the labor market, allowing for a comprehensive evaluation. • Improved communication and common language: By providing a common language for different stakeholders, MERISE enhances communication and collaboration, ensuring that all parties have a shared understanding. The study’s approach and contribution to existing research lie in: • Structured theoretical and practical framework and holistic approach: The study offers a structured framework for data collection and analysis, covering both quantitative and qualitative aspects, thus providing a comprehensive view of the training system. • Reproducible methodology and international comparison: The proposed methodology can be replicated in other contexts, facilitating international comparison and the adoption of best practices. • Extension of knowledge and new perspective: By integrating a participatory approach and developing indicators adapted to local needs, the study extends existing research and offers new perspectives on vocational training evaluation.

Study on the Alignment Between Talent Training Directions and Employment Market Demands in the Landscape Architecture Industry

Currently,talent training in Chinese universities for landscape architecture is mainly divided into three directions:“landscape planning and design,”“landscape construction management,”and“landscape plant planting and maintenance.”However,with the background of the slowing urbanization process and the widespread demand for composite talents in society,it remains to be verified whether the traditional three major talent training directions in landscape architecture align with the job demands in the current construction market.Based on a survey and analysis of over 300 industry practitioners,this study found a clear trend of merging the three major employment directions into“landscape design and construction”and“landscape plant planting and maintenance.”This presents new requirements and directions for the skill training of landscape architecture majors in universities and provides insights into the alignment between talent training and employment demands in other industries.

Professional One-Day Training Course in BIM: A Practice Overview of Multi-Applicability in Construction

The implementation of Building Information modelling (BIM) methodology in the construction industry has been covering wide applicability with recognized benefits in designing, constructing and operating buildings. A recent short course organized in the University of Lisbon, actualized with the most relevant achievement based in master research, was offered to professionals of the industry, namely, architects and civil engineers coming from diverse engineering areas, environment, construction, maintenance, consult and patrimonial enterprises and also from public organizations like city councils. The proposed action covers the areas of construction (conflict analysis, planning and materials take-off), structures (interoperability, analyses and transfer of information between software) and the most recent Heritage Building Information Modelling (HBIM) topic. The course aims to contribute to the dissemination of the potential of BIM in the areas of designing, construction and refurbishing of historical buildings. The participants followed the course with great interest and satisfaction, formulating several questions directed to the particular activity of each of the attendees.

Exploration of Professional Practice Teaching Skill of Higher Vocational English Education

Higher vocational English education major is an important channel to train teaching staff for primary and secondary schools of China and professional skill is one of essential factors which forms the training goal of higher vocational English education.In view of this, this article summarizes the current status of practice teaching of higher vocational English education which aims to explore a set of teaching ideas, teaching modes and teaching theories that suit professional skills training practice of higher vocational education, so as to find some effective teaching methods for professional skill training practice to meet the social requirements for the graduates and pave the way for their future employment.

The Plural in the Singular, Cities and Disciplinary Batallions？ -- Interdisciplinary Approaches Facing Nowadays Environmental Challenges

Towns＇ and cities＇ stories show their multidisciplinary richness and their complexity between professional skills and ways of life and residence of inhabitants by the analysis of the towns＇ changes. Through two protocols of research, during ten years from 2003 to 2012 and so on, of metropolitan changes in Bordeaux and travels in French and European cities, Christian Sallenave shows that： When everyone can write, tell and recognize his own story of town＇s changes, the cities know the best conditions for their sustainable development; Neither particular, nor general, but both in their specific dialectic; Neither panoptical and sovereign disciplines nor judgmental dopes, but both in their coming and goings and their ＂patriotic＂ property and register. The towns＇ stories are always written and marked in the same time in plural and singular, of arts, sciences and knowledge and pragmatic ways of life and residence.

The Conformity of University Accounting Education Curriculum to the Needs of the Labor Market in Romania

This study represents empirical research that aims to investigate how the labor market for the financial-accounting segment in Romania requires professional and personal skills developed within the accounting education curriculum in the Romanian universities of this profile, or these produce young practitioners inappropriate from the curricular point of view to the employers＇ demands. The study develops a statistical analysis of frequencies, aiming to find an importance stratification of the professional and personal characteristics in the employers＇ demands. The study groups the job advertisements into three categories： for financial accounting, managerial accounting and audit, and seeks to identify specific curriculum descriptors for these categories of professional development. At the same time, the study does a frequency analysis of curriculum descriptors and job execution, comparatively to the management jobs, attempting to do a hierarchy of professional and personal skills, depending on the wording of notices by employers. The conclusions of the report attempts to be a synthesis of the study assumptions results that lead to the idea that the curricular programs of the universities of this profile, though responding in terms of theoretical knowledge, should be extended in practice, but particularly in the personal skills development, which are defining in a competitive selection process.

e-LITE:A Concurrent Engineering Method Dedicated to E-learning Training Development for the Enhancement of Research Project Results

Scientific research projects aim to produce new knowledge generally in domains of high specialization.Some of these projects have goals of improving the performance of companies.In this case,the issues of the capitalization and transfer of scientific knowledge and its rapid transformation into professional skills are directly addressed.However,there is no method to derive e-learning teaching material from project results.So,this paper presents the e-LITE Method and its application to the ISTA3 project to support the process of developing a e-learning training.This application has allowed us to highlight the contributions of the method that promotes better knowledge sharing between partners of a research project and the development and transfer of research results to the professional world.So,after the presentation of the method,an application to the ISTA3 project will be presented.

Influence of the Process of Worker on the Mechanical Properties of Carbon Fiber Reinforced Plastic Molded by Autoclave

The present study aims to investigate the difference of the operation process and the significant mechanical properties between expert workers and beginner workers clearly. The influence of the performance of the carbon fiber reinforced plastic (CFRP) molds made by subjects with difference skill level was discussed. Subjects were allowed to choose their process and molding tools. Subject A had 13 years,and subject B had 1 year of professional experience.The time spent usage of tools and process was recorded by a video camera used for analysis and comparison. Mechanical properties assessed in this study include tensile,compressive and Izod impact properties. The working time analysis shows that subject A needs short time for each process. On the other hand,subject B takes twice time to work for each process compared with subject A. From the surface and cross-section observation, it was found that the molding made by subject B had wrinkles all over and the disorderly inter-layer direction; on the contrary,the wrinkles on the molding surface of subject A are barely,and the inter-layer direction of which are more orderly. The results of tensile and Izod impact tests show that the surface winkles have little influence on the mechanical properties of the molding. According to the compression test and failure structure analysis in edge corner part,it was found that it had a great influence on the compression mechanical properties of the sample belonging to different subjects with different experience.

Improving Scientific Research Methodology in Undergraduate Medical Students: a case of team based training blended in a research project

An educational intervention targeting medical students and aiming to develop skills useful to the writing of a health science research protocol over a short period of time has been developed in the Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine. The methodology blending the principles of PBL and TBL is detailed and key issues of this implementation are discussed. Twenty-one students were enrolled in a research master degree and participated to three mandatory 180-minutes sessions. Beyond classical skills useful to solve a problem, this new intervention focused on the transformation of knowledge to create an authentic content, which is a feature of the project-based learning(PBL). The training process was designed according to team-based learning(TBL) procedure except that work sharing between groups and pooling resources and outcomes of each group allowed the construction of one final class original research project in the field of respiratory pharmacology. The combination of both learning methods allowed promoting individual and group accountability necessary to improve self-learning and the quality of the final joint project. The peer reviewing was an essential factor in creating the students' motivation and improving of team discussion. The grades individually assigned for skills and quality of the project by an external teacher suggested that key objectives of the intervention were reached. In conclusion, the educational intervention described in this paper appears as an appropriate method to develop specific skills necessary to write and discuss a research project within a research team.Further works are necessary to measure the degree of satisfaction of students and improvement of performance.
