To examine the feature of PCM, we analyzed 9 cases of PCM among 243 cases of pancreas carcinoma and evaluated the amount of mucin by imaging analysis. Morphologically, 5 cases were classified as intradactal papillary mucinous neoplasms (IPMN)-derived PCM and 4 cases were as ductal adenocarcinoma (DA)-derived PCM. Mucous composition was found to be more than 50% in all IPMN-derived PCM cases, and that was 40% - 50% in DA-derived PCM cases with one exception. IPMN-derived PCM cases showed expansive growth with pancreatic duct dilatation filled with mucin, while DA-derived PCM cases possessed mucin infiltration into interstitial tissue. Immunohisto-chemically, three of 4 DA-derived PCM cases were MUC1(–)/MUC2(+), and the results of expressions for p16 and Dpc4 suggesting that DA-derived PCM was similar to IPMN-derived PCM rather than ordinary DA. Survival rate of DA-derived PCM cases was lower than that of IPMN-derived PCM cases. We advocate that DA-derived PCM may constitute a borderline group between IPMN and ordinary DA.展开更多

However, there is no single perfect technique which is worldwide accepted. We present our assessment of a Chong-Chet anterior scoring technique for the correction of prominent ears which we applied in 30 patients between 2005 and 2010. This study is a report of creating a natural fold of cartilage using Chong-Chet anterior scoring technique by cartilage incision at the border between the antihelix and scapha, with medial scoring of the scapha and lateral scoring of the antihelix. Sutures were used to maintain the created fold. There were no major complications at the 1-year follow-up evaluation. None of the patients developed a recurrence, or retro protrusion of the helix which required a second operation for correction. The procedure is a simple surgical technique. The reconstructed ear shows reliable results in stability, size and normal convolutions. Furthermore, sharp cartilaginous ridges and hidden helix are avoided.展开更多

We present in detail two typical events observed respectively on 2002 May 27 and 1981 August 2. The full-width at half maximum of the widest profile of the 2001 prominence is 1.8? for Hα and 2.9 ? for He I 10830?, while that of the 1981 prominence is 5.3 ? for Hβ, 3.6 ? for Ca II K, 4.0 ? for Ca II H and 2.8 ? for He I D3. Such broadenings generally occur at a level of several-thousand kilometres above the chromosphere. Further, most of these prominences manifest a rotation of (0.4–1.35)×10-2 rads s?1 pointing to the Sun and large line-of-sight velocities of 20–200 km s?1. Some of these events correspond in time to an enhancement or a small peak in the GOES X-ray flux, indicating the existence of high energy process at work. These prominences generally display discernible changes in the Hα morphology around the time of large broadening, but do not show Hα brightening or overall eruption except for a few small surge-like events, hence, they are hardly observed in daily Hα patrols. According to the characteristics of their Hα structures and spectral properties, we infer these events are small-scale eruptions similar to nano-flares, which may contribute to the mass and energy transported into the corona. Large turbulent velocities of 25–120 km s?1 are responsible for the observed broadenings.展开更多

The ultrastructure of SV, spiral ligament (SL) and spiral prominence(SP) of both ears of eight guinea pigs were observed by scanning electron microscopy(SEM) andtransmission electron microsoopy(TEM). There were a large number of coated vesicles in thesupranuclear region of SV, some opened to the endolymph. A great number of folding cytoplasmicprojections were filled with small vesicles The capillary network was extremely rich indicating thatthe endolymph could be secreted and absorbed by SV. The cellular conjunction in the SV. SL andSP formed an effective barrier. It has not been proved in this study that the melanin offers resistanceto acoustic stimulation.展开更多

Under the assumption that matter in the EP undergoes axial, radial and possible rotational motions, we construct a theoretical velocity distribution of the EP along the entrance slit, to derive, by fitting, the angular velocity of rotation ω and the other three parameters (axial velocity v0, radial velocity vr and the angle between the EP plane and the line of sight Ф). We found: an averaged angular velocity ω of 3.0 × 10^-3 arc s^-1 and the variation of ω with the height above the solar limb. As the EP rises, the matter within it in fact moves along a spiral path around its axis. The spiral motion may be explained by the theory of plasma ‘double pole diffusion' (DPD) caused by a sharp density gradient between the eruptive prominence and the surrounding corona. A theoretical angular velocity ω′ is estimated based on the DPD and basically coincides with ω obtained from the optimal velocity fitting.展开更多

It is found that there were large-amplitude oscillations in P1 and L1 but no detectable motions in P2 and L2. These transverse oscillations were triggered by a large-scale coronal wave, originating from a large flare in a remote active region behind the solar limb. By carefully comparing the locations and heights of these oscillating and non-oscillating structures, we conclude that the propagating height of the wave is between 50 Mm and 130 Mm. The wave energy deposited in the oscillating prominence and coronal loops is at least of the order of 10-8 erg. Furthermore, local magnetic field strength and Alfv6n speeds are derived from the oscillating periods and damping time scales, which are extracted from the time series of the oscillations. It is demon- strated that oscillations can be used in not only coronal seismology, but also to reveal the properties of the wave.展开更多

文摘Background:Identifying factors associated with cardiovascular disease(CVD)is critical for its prevention, but this topic is scarcely investigated in Kashgar prefecture,Xinjiang, northwestern China. We thus explored the CVD epidemi-ology and identified prominent factors associated with CVD in this region. Methods:A total of 1,887,710 adults at baseline(in 2017)of the Kashgar Prospective Cohort Study were included in the analysis.Sixteen candidate factors, including seven demographic factors,4 lifestyle factors, and 5 clinical factors, were collected from a questionnaire and health examination records.CVD was defined according to International Clinical Diagnosis(ICD-10)codes.We first used logistic regression models to investigate the association between each of the candidate factors and CVD.Then,we employed 3 machine learning methods-Random Forest,Random Ferns, and Extreme Gradient Boosting-to rank and identify prominent factors associated with CVD.Stratification analyses by sex, ethnicity, education level, economic status, and residential setting were also performed to test the consistency of the ranking. Results:The prevalence of CVD in Kashgar prefecture was 8.1%.All the 16 candidate factors were confirmed to be significantly associated with CVD(odds ratios ranged from 1.03 to 2.99,all p values<0.05)in logistic regression models.Further machine learning-based analysis suggested that age, occupation, hypertension, exercise frequency, and dietary pattern were the five most prominent factors associated with CVD.The ranking of relative importance for prominent factors in stratification analyses showed that the factor importance generally followed the same pattern as that in the overall sample. Conclusions:CVD is a major public health concern in Kashgar prefecture.Age,occupation, hypertension, exercise frequency, and dietary pattern might be the prominent factors associated with CVD in this region. In the future, these factors should be given priority in preventing CVD in future.
