BACKGROUND Patients with chronic hepatitis B(CHB)experience various problems, including low psychological flexibility, negative emotions, and poor sleep quality. Therefore, effective nursing interventions are required to reduce adverse events.Acceptance and commitment therapy(ACT)combined with enabling cognitivebehavioral education(ECBE)can improve patients'psychological and sleep. Therefore,we speculate that this may also be effective in patients with CHB.AIM To investigate the effects of different intervention methods on psychological flexibility, negative emotions, and sleep quality in patients with CHB.METHODS This retrospective study examined clinical and evaluation data of 129 patients with CHB.Intervention methods were divided into a conventional group(routine nursing,n=69)and a combination group(ACT combined with ECBE,n=60).We observed changes in psychological flexibility, negative emotions, sleep quality, and self-care ability in both groups.Observation items were evaluated using the Acceptance and Action Questionnaire-2nd Edition(AAQ-II),Self-Rating Anxiety Scale(SAS),Self-Rating Depression Scale(SDS),Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index(PSQI),and Exercise of Self-Care Agency Scale(ESCA).RESULTS Compared with the conventional group, the AAQ-II score of the combined group was lower(F_(between-group effect)=8.548;F_(time effects)=25.020;F_(interaction effects)=52.930;all P<0.001),the SAS score(t=5.445)and SDS score(t=7.076)were lower(all P<0.001),as were the PSQI dimensions(tsleep quality=4.581,tfall sleep time=2.826,tsleep time=2.436,tsleep efficiency=5.787,tsleep disorder=5.008,thypnotic drugs=3.786,tdaytime dysfunction=4.812);all P<0.05).The ESCA scores for all dimensions were higher(thealth knowledge level=6.994,t self-concept=5.902,tself-responsibility=19.820,tself-care skills=8.470;all P<0.001).CONCLUSION ACT combined with ECBE in patients with CHB can improve psychological flexibility and sleep quality, alleviate negative emotions, and improve self-care. 展开更多

Background: Occupational burnout is associated with diminished psychological flexibility and higher emotional (EE) and uncontrolled eating (UE). Psychological flexibility could be a mediating factor between burnout and eating behaviour. Objectives: To investigate differences in eating behaviour between those with different levels of psychological flexibility, and the association of the interaction between psychological flexibility and occupational burnout with eating behaviour. Design: The participants were working women (n = 263), who took part in the randomized controlled health intervention trial. Analyses were performed in a cross-sectional setting at baseline. Methods: Eating behaviour was measured using the Three Factor Eating Behaviour Questionnaire-18 [which evaluates EE, UE and cognitive restraint (CR)], psychological flexibility using Acceptance and Action Questionnaire-II and occupational burnout using Bergen Burnout Indicator-15. Participants were divided into four groups based on the quartile points of psychological flexibility. Results: The EE of those who were inflexible was higher than that of those whose flexibility was high moderate (p = 0.013) and who were flexible (p = 0.001). The UE of those who were inflexible was higher than the UE in the other groups with higher flexibility [low moderate (p = 0.034), high moderate (p een occupational burnout and EE and UE. Multivariate analysis of variances revealed that the combination of psychological flexibility and burnout had a stronger association with the variances of EE and UE than psychological flexibility alone. Conclusions: Persons who are psychologically inflexible have higher EE and UE. Future studies should investigate if increasing psychological flexibility helps decrease EE and UE. 展开更多

Objective:To explore the effect of KAP intervention mode on resilience and cancer-related fatigue in patients with colorectal cancer undergoing chemotherapy. Methods:A prospective randomized trial was conducted.55 patients with colorectal cancer who received routine nursing from February 2018 to February 2019 were included in the control group, and 55 patients who received routine nursing+KAP intervention from March 2019 to March 2020 were included in the observation group. The scores of Resilience Scale and cancer-related fatigue scale(CFS)before and 6 months after intervention were compared between the two groups. Results:After 6 months of intervention, the score of resilience of the two groups was higher than that before intervention, and that of the observation group was higher than that of the control group, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05);The CFS score of the two groups was lower than that before intervention, and that of the observation group was lower than that of the control group, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:KAP intervention model can improve the resilience of patients with colorectal cancer chemotherapy, reduce cancerrelated fatigue. 展开更多
