Application of Cooperative Learning and Flipped Classrooms in University Basketball Courses in China

This study investigates the application of the teaching model combining cooperative learning and flipped classrooms in university basketball courses in China.By analyzing the advantages and disadvantages of the traditional basketball teaching model and students’satisfaction with the course,the necessity of implementing cooperative learning and flipped classrooms is proposed.The study planned in detail the implementation strategies before class,in the classroom,and after class,and compared them with the control group through an experimental design.The experimental results showed that the new teaching mode demonstrated significant advantages in terms of learning outcomes,student satisfaction,and teacher evaluation.This study provides a valuable reference for the future reform of the physical education curriculum.

Operational Problems and Countermeasures of Public Elective Courses in Higher Vocational Colleges and Universities Based on the Perspective of Academic Affairs Management:Taking Guangdong C Vocational College as an Example

With the vigorous development of higher vocational education,public elective courses,as one of the core components of the higher vocational curriculum system,occupy a pivotal position.Based on the perspective of academic affairs management and taking Guangdong C Vocational College as an example,this paper meticulously analyzes the operational problems in the declaration,setting,teaching,and management of public elective courses through questionnaire surveys and other methods.It also puts forward a series of targeted solutions,with a view to continuously improving the teaching quality and management level of public elective courses.

A Study on Improving the Teaching Ability of College Physical Education Teachers From the Perspective of OBE

This paper analyzes the current situation of college teachers’teaching organization ability based on teaching implementation by using the literature method and inductive deduction method,and summarizes the factors affecting the teaching ability of college public physical education teachers,in order to provide references for the improvement of the teaching effect of college physical education,and help the implementation of the national strategy of healthy China and sports power.The teaching implementation of physical education teachers in colleges and universities is mainly affected by the drafting of teaching objectives,teaching design,teaching evaluation,and other factors.The teaching workload makes teachers tired of teaching preparation,teaching design fails to think deeply about the major and learning situation,teaching evaluation method is single,and other phenomena.In view of the problems in the implementation of the curriculum,it is proposed to participate in education and teaching training to update the educational concept,regularly carry out teaching and research activities to improve the teaching organization ability,and write teaching logs to improve the ability of sustainable development.

An Overview of the Development of Research on Public Speaking Course from 2004 to 2013

This research explores the studies published in English from 2004 to 2013 on the Public Speaking （PS） course to provide a preliminary framework of the research paradigm and identify its major themes and sub-themes in this field. A maiority of the studies were from the communication literature, with the remaining studies coming from the disciplines of linguistics, education and psychology, which indicates research on PS is multidisciplinary. In the literature, the years 2004 and 2005 saw a peak of studies from native-speaking countries while the years 2011 and 2012 began to see an increase of the research from non-native speaking countries. Nearly half of the studies fell into the non-empirical category. With the method of content analysis and based on the research agenda in the public speaking proposed by Lucas （2011）, seven themes were identified, including public speaking anxiety, goals of the public speaking course and pedagogical strategies, pedagogical content, course assessment, technology and integrative methods as pedagogy, PS textbooks, and adaptation of the course to non-native speakers. It is hoped that the findings here can contribute to refining research on PS course in China and providing insights for Chinese practitioners.
