To simulate steady airflows inside of wall-flow diesel particulate filters (DPF) with different reverse blowing pipes collocation, a mathematical model of the flow in a DPF is established by an equivalent continuum ...To simulate steady airflows inside of wall-flow diesel particulate filters (DPF) with different reverse blowing pipes collocation, a mathematical model of the flow in a DPF is established by an equivalent continuum approach. The experimental results agree well with the theoretical values calculated from the model. Simulation shows that the velocity and the pressure distribution of the filters in the regenerative process are key factors to the filter's regeneration. How to decrease the mal-distribution of the flow in the filter and how to achieve the better regenerative performance at the least cost of air consumption in the regenerative process are the ultimate goals of the study. Calculation and experiments show that the goals can be realized through adjusting the angle of two reverse blowing pipes and their relative location suitably.展开更多
Nuclear security usually requires the simultaneous detection of neutrons and gamma rays.With the development of crystalline materials in recent years,Cs2LiLaBr6(CLLB)dual-readout detectors have attracted extensive att...Nuclear security usually requires the simultaneous detection of neutrons and gamma rays.With the development of crystalline materials in recent years,Cs2LiLaBr6(CLLB)dual-readout detectors have attracted extensive attention from researchers,where real-time neutron/gamma pulse discrimination is the critical factor among detector performance parameters.This study investigated the discrimination performance of the charge comparison,amplitude comparison,time comparison,and pulse gradient_(m)ethods and the effects of a Sallen–Key filter on their performance.Experimental results show that the figure of merit(FOM)of all four methods is improved by proper filtering.Among them,the charge comparison method exhibits excellent noise resistance;moreover,it is the most_(s)uitable method of real-time discrimination for CLLB detectors.However,its discrimination performance depends on the parameters t_(s),t_(m),and t_(e).When t_(s)corresponds to the moment at which the pulse is at 10%of its peak value,t_(e)requires a delay of only 640–740 ns compared to t_(s),at which time the potentially optimal FOM of the charge comparison method at 3.1–3.3 MeV is greater than 1.46.The FOM obtained using the t_(m)value calculated by a proposed maximized discrimination difference model(MDDM)and the potentially optimal FOM differ by less than 3.9%,indicating that the model can provide good guidance for parameter selection in the charge comparison method.展开更多
A multi spectral image compression and encryption algorithm that combines Karhunen-Loeve(KL) transform,tensor decomposition and chaos is proposed for solving the security problem of multi-spectral image compression an...A multi spectral image compression and encryption algorithm that combines Karhunen-Loeve(KL) transform,tensor decomposition and chaos is proposed for solving the security problem of multi-spectral image compression and transmission.Firstly,in order to eliminate residual spatial redundancy and most of the spectral redundancy,the image is performed by KL transform.Secondly,to further eliminate spatial redundancy and reduce block effects in the compression process,two-dimensional discrete 9/7 wavelet transform is performed,and then Arnold transform and encryption processing on the transformed coefficients are performed.Subsequently,the tensor is decomposed to keep its intrinsic structure intact and eliminate residual space redundancy.Finally,differential pulse filters are used to encode the coefficients,and Tent mapping is used to implement confusion diffusion encryption on the code stream.The experimental results show that the method has high signal-to-noise ratio,fast calculation speed,and large key space,and it is sensitive to keys and plaintexts with a positive effect in spectrum assurance at the same time.展开更多

While currently there are a few publicly ...The first automatic algorithm was designed to estimate the pulse pressure variation (PPVPPV) from arterial blood pressure (ABP) signals under spontaneous breathing conditions. While currently there are a few publicly available algorithms to automatically estimate PPVPPV accurately and reliably in mechani-cally ventilated subjects, at the moment there is no automatic algorithm for estimating PPVPPV on sponta-neously breathing subjects. The algorithm utilizes our recently developed sequential Monte Carlo method (SMCM), which is called a maximum a-posteriori adaptive marginalized particle filter (MAM-PF). The performance assessment results of the proposed algorithm on real ABP signals from spontaneously breath-ing subjects were reported.展开更多
Using the shaping filter to remove the effects of the bubble pulses of explosive charge, we obtained the impulse response function of the sea bottom. The result is quite satisfactory.
