The system should make the best of all kinds of information sources around the enterprise, and meet the demand for agile production. This paper presents an implementation scheme of Integrated Equipment Maintenance Management Information System Based on Internet/Intranet and gives component division scheme of each tier. This scheme adopts a three-tiers mode of B/S (Browser/Server) and software programming module based on software reusing technology. This makes the system integrated and open, makes maintenance and updating convenient, and largely increases software safety and reusability.展开更多

Medical equipment provides images, physiological results or other schematics of the patients to help doctors deal with the routines. It is also the major tool to the lab assistant in the clinical teaching and studies. It becomes one of a symbol of the technological level in modern hospital. The director of the hospital should establish an effi cacious management pattern to manage the medical equipment, so that it will be operated in good condition to insure the safety of the patients. Since the maintenance is an important part of medical equipment management, it is significant that the hospital should establish a system to fit for itself. The study reviews the issues in hospital medical equipment maintenance management, the development of the maintenance management model and the characteristics, as well as the status at home and abroad. The research has been fi nished by using literature research method, questionnaire survey method and data analysis method. Then we analyze the current status of hospital medical equipment maintenance management model to fi nd the problems. Based on the authentic and effective data from the survey, we can deduce the overview about the maintenance model in Beijing. The paper discusses the advantages and the disadvantages between the different model, and it makes suggestions on the follow aspects, such as system management, quality management, personnel management, cost management, information management perspective.展开更多

This study developed an Equipment Maintenance Management Framework (EMMF) tailored to the industry’s needs. Using surveys, interviews, and on-site visits at eight major mining companies, we identified significant variations in maintenance strategies, CMMS usage, and reliability engineering. The EMMF prioritizes predictive maintenance, efficient CMMS implementation, ongoing training, and robust reliability engineering to shift from reactive to proactive maintenance. We recommend adopting continuous improvement practices and data-driven decision-making based on performance metrics, with a phased EMMF implementation aligning maintenance with strategic business objectives. This framework is poised to enhance operational efficiency, equipment reliability, and safety, fostering sustainable growth in the Zambian mining sector.展开更多
Effective management and maintenance of building equipment can yield more sustainable delivery of building services systems with buildings/facilities.Buildings generally provide habitation,security,comfort and indeed ...Effective management and maintenance of building equipment can yield more sustainable delivery of building services systems with buildings/facilities.Buildings generally provide habitation,security,comfort and indeed habitat for social and recreational activities.All over the world,buildings/facilities play very vital role in the economic development of any nation.Building equipment is classified as refrigerator,pump,lift and escalator systems,HVAC(heat ventilation and air-conditioning)systems,extractor fans as well as water and firefighting equipment among others.In this paper,the roles of maintenance culture within building equipment were examined in pursuit of achieving effective services delivery.More often than not,maintenance of building equipment option is sometimes played down but with emphasis on achieving optimum performance without recourse to striking a balance between the above indices.The paper also examines immediate and remote causes associated with maintenance management practices within building infrastructure systems(equipment)in this investigation.Experts’opinions were sought for their understanding,barriers and commitment of sustainability agenda in pursuit of building equipment maintenance ethics and the way forward.The achievable outcomes from this study demonstrate that optimum services delivery of building equipment relied on efficient management and maintenance culture options as best practices.展开更多
