Effect of Tong-Qiao-Huo-Xue decoction on the expressions of related proteins of the blood-brain barrier and analysis of constituents in cerebrospinal fluid of cerebral ischemic rats

OBJECTIVE To evaluate the effects of Tong-Qiao-Huo-Xue decoction(TQHXD)on the bloodbrain barrier(BBB)permeability and the expressions of related proteins on the rats;and to analyse the constituents in the cerebrospinal fluid on the rats with cerebral ischemic injury.METHODS Cerebral ischemia rats were induced by middle cerebral artery occlusion(MCAO).Adult male sprague-dawley(SD)rats were randomly divided into seven groups:sham-group;model group;nimodipine(NMP)-treated group and nao mai tai(NMT)-treated group were set as positive drug control groups;TQHXD-treated group(3,6 and 12g·kg-1body weight);The neurological function of rats was estimated by neurological defect scoring after the 1,7and 15 dafter administration.Histological structure of the brain in rats were observed by hematoxylin and eosin(H&E)staining.Ultramicrostructural features of hippocampus neurons and the opening of tight junction(TJ)of BBB in rats were observed by transmission electron microscope(TEM).Western blotting was performed to detect the expression of ZO-1,occludin,claudin-5,AQP-4 and MMP-9 in BBB after cerebral ischemia injury.Component analysis experiments:adult male SD rats were randomly divided into four groups:Distilled water was administered intragastrically sham-operated rats;Distilled water was administered intragastrically model rats by MCAO;TQHXD was administered intragatrically to rats in sham-operated group;TQHXD was administered intragestrically to rats in model group by MCAO.GC and HPLC was used to detect three compounds,namely,muscone,ligustilide and hydroxysafflor yellow A,in rats cerebrospinal fluid(CSF)after oral administration of TQHXD.Finally,samples of cerebrospinal fluid of rats in each group were compared with single medicine so as to explicit the three compounds come from which herb.RESULTS TQHXD significantly reduced the neurological defect scores.Histological examination indicated that dense neuropil and largely surviving neurons had been seen in TQHXD-treated rats.TEM observation revealed that TQHXD could significantly inhibit the damage of hippocampal neurons and reduce the opening of TJ.The decreased protein expression levels of claudin-5,occludin,ZO-1 and the increased protein expression levels of AQP-4 and MMP-9in cerebral ischemia tissue were significantly prevented by treatment of TQHXD.Analysis of experimental results showed that muscone,ligustilide and hydroxysafflor yellow A could penetrate the BBB into the CSF,and the content of the model group was lower than that of sham group after intragastric administration of TQHXD.CONCLUSION These results demonstrated that TQHXD may act as a potential neuroprotective agent against BBB damage for cerebral ischemia through protecting of hippocampus neurons,reducing the opening of TJ and decreasing the permeability of BBB by up-regulating ZO-1,occludin,claudin-5 expressions,down-regulating AQP-4 and MMP-9 expressions.The effect of TQHXD on the decrease of the opening of TJ also reduced the content of muscone,ligustilide and hydroxysafflor yellow A in cerebrospinal fluid.

Summary on Professor QIAO Bao-zhang's Experience in Syndrome Differentiation and Treatment for Pancreatic Cancer

Objective:To summarize clinical experience of Professor QIAO Bao-zhang in treatment for pancreatic cancer,and to provide reference for clinicians.Methods:Through learning from Professor QIAO during his clinical practice and listening to his lectures,Professor QIAO Bao-zhang's clinically proved cases of treating pancreatic cancer based on syndrome differentiation were organized and summarized.From aspects like etiology,pathogenesis,treatment principles and treatment methods of pancreatic cancer,Professor QIAO's experience in diagnosis and treatment for this disease was analyzed and explored,and characteristics of medication were summarized.Two typical cases were selected as proof,and his treatment ideas and methods were explored.Results:Professor QIAO believes that the pathogenesis is mostly deficiency of vital Qi(正气),and stagnation of phlegm,heat and dampness in Zang-Fu(脏腑)and meridians.Around intermingled deficiency and excess,syndrome differentiation and treatment were performed.Due to treatment methods such as strengthening vital Qi to eliminate pathogenic factor,clearing heat,eliminating dampness and resolving phlegm,as well as removing toxicity and resolving hard mass,progress of malignant tumors was inhibited and recurrence and metastasis of malignant tumors were delayed.Conclusion:Professor QIAO's experience in treating pancreatic cancer is worth learning.

Experimental investigation on the prevention of delayed cerebral vasospasm with Tong Qiao Huo Xue Tang

Objective To investigate the prevention effects and the physicochemical mechanisms of action of Tong Qiao Huo Xue Tang on delayed cerebral vasospasm(DCD) after subarachnoid hemorrhage(SAH).Methods Macaca cynomolgus were divided into two groups and underwent craniectomy,a semipermeable microdialysis catheter was placed adjacent to right middle cerebral artery (MCA).Therapeutic group were exposed to Tong Qiao Huo Xue Tang and control group to placebo via oral .Results The diameter of proximal MCA in therapeutic group changed slightly on 7th day after operation(P >0.05),whereas it decreased prominently(P< 0.05) in control group with severe vasospasm.OxyHb concentration:There’s no significant difference between the two groups on 2nd ～5th day(P >0.05),the concentration of therapeutic group(was zero after 8 days) was lower than that of control group (became zero after 12 days) on 6th ～8th day(P< 0.05).The peak value of therapeutic group (on 5th day) was lower than that of control group (on 7th day)(P< 0.05).Conclusion Tong Qiao Huo Xue Tang can prevent DCV after SAH effectively and decreasing OxyHb concentration around vessels after SAH maybe the mechanism.

CLINICAL AND EXPERIMENTAL RESEARCH ON APOPLECTIC SEQUELAE TREATED WITH “XINGNAO KAIQIAO”(XNKQ) ACUPUNCTURE METHOD

The research sumed up the main acupoints of prescription and clinical therapeutic effects of apoplectic sequelae.In the series, 60 in-patients were observed, they were divided into two groups at random, 30 cas es in the Xing Nao Kai Qiao group, 30 cases in the traditional group. There are compara bility on different diseases, courses of the disease, ages and so on between the two groups. On the treatment method, Xing Nao Kai Qiao acupuncture manipulation and acupoints prescription were adopted in the Xing Nao group, and the method descriped in the fifth edition textbook was applied in the traditional group. Acupuncture treatment was given two times a day. After 60 days, evaluation of clinital therapeutic effects were made and the changes of blood rheology, blood liPOids microcirculation and electromyogram in the two groups were observed before and after acupuncture treatment. The re sults of therapeutic effects suggested that the cure rates were 26. 67% in the 6. 67 % in the Xng Nao group and traditional group respectively, obvious improvement rates were 46. 69 % and 20.00% re spectively in the two groups. There was an obvious difference between the two groups according to sta tistical analysis (P<0.05, P <0.01 ). It showed that Xing Nao Kai Qiao acupuncture method could obviously improve blood rheology and blood-lipoids (P <0.05 ), and played an active regulation role in the nail fold microcirculation. After treatment, electromyogram showed that electric potential of motor unit was markedly incrcased, myodynamia became stronger. It indicated that the Xing Nao Kai Qiao acupuncture method was better than the traditional acupuncture method on the treatment of apoplectic sequelae. It is worth popularizing.

Novel writings in China in 2023 display a tendency toward locality which exhibits two characteristics:One is the“sense of hometown,”and the other is the“integration of locality with modernity.”Qiao Ye's novel Baoshui Village is a representative work that achieves“modernity”through“locality”How contemporary novels portray the changing countryside,and how they handle and grasp the relationship and proportion between change and constancy;how to find the right way to integrate the geographical,ethnic,and modern aspects of a novel;how locality generates modernity;and how modernity can accommodate and activate locality are not only theoretical questions that need to be deeply explored but also issues of writing that need continuous exploration in practice.In this sense,Baoshui Village is worth cherishing.

醒脑开窍针刺法联合中药治疗脑梗死后轻度认知障碍的疗效观察

目的 观察醒脑开窍针刺法联合补肾益髓汤治疗脑梗死后轻度认知障碍的临床疗效。方法 将80例脑梗死后轻度认知障碍的患者随机分为研究组(40例)和对照组(40例)。两组均予基础治疗,研究组在基础治疗外另予醒脑开窍针刺法联合补肾益髓汤治疗。比较两组临床疗效,观察两组治疗前后简易精神状态检查表(mini-mental state examination,MMSE)、蒙特利尔认知评估(Montreal cognitive assessment,MoCA)和Rivermead行为记忆测验(Rivermead behavioural memory test,RBMT)的评分变化,观察两组治疗前后连线测验-B(trail making test-B,TMT-B)结果、血清淀粉样蛋白A(serum amyloid A,SAA)和β-淀粉样蛋白(amyloid β-protein,Aβ)水平以及脑微循环指标(颈总动脉的平均血流量、最大血流速度、最小血流速度、临界压力、脉搏速度、特性阻抗、外周阻力和动态阻力)的变化。结果 研究组总有效率高于对照组(P<0.05)。治疗后,两组MMSE、MoCA和RBMT评分均高于同组治疗前(P<0.05),且研究组上述评分均高于对照组(P<0.05)。治疗后,两组TMT-B结果以及SAA和Aβ水平均优于同组治疗前(P<0.05),且研究组上述指标优于对照组(P<0.05)。治疗后,两组脑微循环指标均较治疗前改善(P<0.05),且研究组优于对照组(P<0.05)。结论 在基础治疗以上,采用醒脑开窍针刺法联合补肾益髓汤治疗脑梗死后轻度认知障碍可提高临床疗效,能进一步改善患者认知功能,并调节SAA和Aβ水平。

Chenier的内涵分析和译名建议

名词术语规范化是推动科学技术创新、创建科技话语体系、争取国际科技话语权等工作的基础性工作。Chenier(及与之相关的Chenier Plain)是一种独特而重要的海岸沉积地貌类型,但是其译名并未统一。自1970年来以来,Chenier的中文译名先后出现了4大类、8种,以贝壳堤相对常见,这种情况不利于中文语境下术语的统一表达和高效传播。本文首先详细说明了Chenier的内涵,即位于高潮滩、沿岸、蚀余、粗颗粒天然堤。然后对上述译名进行分析和评述。虽然“贝壳堤”的使用相对最为广泛,但是Chenier既可能主要由贝壳物质组成,也可能以硅质砂砾为主,从而引发矛盾。基于内涵和术语的翻译定名特点,本文建议将Chenier翻译成潮滩堤,Chenier Plain即为潮滩堤平原。考虑到物质组成,潮滩堤(Chenier)可以分两种,一为砂质潮滩堤(SandyChenier),一为贝壳潮滩堤(ShellyChenier),后者可以简称为贝壳堤,以及对应的贝壳堤平原。

醒脑开窍针刺法联合经颅磁刺激对缺血性卒中后恢复期抑郁状态的影响

目的 观察醒脑开窍针刺法联合经颅磁刺激对缺血性卒中后患者恢复期抑郁状态的影响。方法 将80例符合纳入标准的患者随机分为综合组(40例,中止1例)和西药组(40例,脱落2例)。西药组予口服盐酸度洛西汀肠溶片治疗,综合组在西药组口服药物基础上予醒脑开窍针刺法联合经颅磁刺激治疗。分别于治疗前后观察患者美国国立卫生院卒中量表(National Institutes of Health stroke scale,NIHSS)、改良Barthel指数(modified Barthel index,MBI)、汉密尔顿抑郁量表(Hamilton depression scale,HAMD)和匹茨堡睡眠质量指数(Pittsburgh sleep quality index,PSQI)的评分变化,以及血清同型半胱氨酸(homocysteine,Hcy)、中性粒细胞/淋巴细胞的比值(neutrophil/lymphocyte ratio,NLR)、5-羟色胺(5-hydroxytryptamine,5-HT)、脑源性神经营养因子(brain-derived neurotrophic factor,BDNF)的水平变化。观察两组治疗前后经颅多普勒超声颅内大血管[大脑前动脉(anterior cerebral artery,ACA)、大脑中动脉(middle cerebral artery,MCA)、大脑后动脉(posterior cerebral artery,PCA)及椎动脉(basilar artery,BA)]血流速度的变化。结果 治疗后,两组患者NIHSS、MBI、HAMD和PSQI评分以及血清Hcy、NLR、5-HT和BDNF水平均较治疗前改善(P<0.05),且综合组上述指标均优于西药组(P<0.05)。治疗后,两组ACA、MCA、PCA和BA血流速度均优于治疗前(P<0.05),且综合组上述血管血流速度均优于西药组(P<0.05)。结论 在药物治疗基础上,醒脑开窍针刺法联合经颅磁刺激治疗卒中后患者恢复期抑郁状态的临床疗效优于单一口服西药治疗,可减轻患者的抑郁程度,改善睡眠质量,提高肢体功能和日常生活能力,加快脑血管血流速度,改善血清Hcy、NLR、5-HT和BDNF的水平。

海马谷断裂北西盘金矿化蚀变带的发现及地质意义

戈塘金矿床是黔西南地区发现最早的大型金矿床之一,其金矿体均分布于区域性海马谷断裂南东盘。经近30年的断续找矿工作,海马谷断裂北西盘找矿方向及前景却依然不清。在新近的矿产地质调查工作中,在海马谷断裂北西盘,通过地电化学测量提取Au元素峰值为179.0×10^(-9),经异常查证发现荞地坡金矿化蚀变带,该金矿化蚀变带受控于下三叠统嘉陵江组一段与二段岩性突变界面,呈似层状产出,沿走向延伸1.2 km,厚0.8~2.0 m,含金品位为0.50×10^(-6)~0.82×10^(-6)。其发现过程折射出地电化学测量的引入对戈塘地区金矿找矿起到积极促进作用;也拓展了该地区找矿空间,分析认为在海马谷断裂北西盘深部有利岩性组合段与北东向构造叠加部位具有较好的金矿找矿前景。
