Self-oscillating systems abound in the natural world and offer substantial potential for applications in controllers,micro-motors,medical equipments,and so on.Currently,numerical methods have been widely utilized for ...Self-oscillating systems abound in the natural world and offer substantial potential for applications in controllers,micro-motors,medical equipments,and so on.Currently,numerical methods have been widely utilized for obtaining the characteristics of self-oscillation including amplitude and frequency.However,numerical methods are burdened by intricate computations and limited precision,hindering comprehensive investigations into self-oscillating systems.In this paper,the stability of a liquid crystal elastomer fiber self-oscillating system under a linear temperature field is studied,and analytical solutions for the amplitude and frequency are determined.Initially,we establish the governing equations of self-oscillation,elucidate two motion regimes,and reveal the underlying mechanism.Subsequently,we conduct a stability analysis and employ a multi-scale method to obtain the analytical solutions for the amplitude and frequency.The results show agreement between the multi-scale and numerical methods.This research contributes to the examination of diverse self-oscillating systems and advances the theoretical analysis of self-oscillating systems rooted in active materials.展开更多

To study active heat insulation roadway in high temperature mines,the typical high temperature roadway of−965 m in Zhujidong Coal Mine of Anhui,China,is selected as prototype.The ANSYS numerical simulation method is u...To study active heat insulation roadway in high temperature mines,the typical high temperature roadway of−965 m in Zhujidong Coal Mine of Anhui,China,is selected as prototype.The ANSYS numerical simulation method is used for sensitivity analysis of heat insulation layer with different thermal conductivity and thickness,as well as surrounding rock with different thermal conductivity and temperature on a heat-adjusting zone radius,surrounding rock temperature field and wall temperature.The results show that the heat-adjusting zone radius will entirely be in the right power index relationship to the ventilation time.Decrease in thermal conductivity and increase in thickness of insulation layer can effectively reduce the disturbance of airflow on the surrounding rock temperature,hence,beneficial for decreasing wall temperature.This favourable trend significantly decreases with ventilation time,increase in thermal conductivity and temperature of surrounding rock,heat-adjusting zone radius,surrounding rock temperature field,and wall temperature.Sensitivity analysis shows that the thermal physical properties of surrounding rock determine the temperature distribution of the roadway,hence,temperature of surrounding rock is considered as the most sensitive factor of all influencing factors.For the spray layer,thermal conductivity is more sensitive,compared to thickness.It is concluded that increase in the spray layer thickness is not as beneficial as using low thermal conductivity insulation material.Therefore,roadway preferential consideration should be given to the rocks with low temperature and thermal conductivity.The application of the insulation layer has positive significance for the thermal environment control in mine roadway,however,increase in the layer thickness without restriction has a limited effect on the thermal insulation.展开更多

The temperature of characteristic analysis points in the intermediate cross-section of the workpiece has been simulated at initial temperature ranging from 960 to 1000 ℃ and initial velocity in range of 0.15-0.55 m·s^-1. Based on finite element analysis and microstructural observation in cylindrical hot compression experiments, the appropriate hot continuous rolling technologies have been designed for rod products with different diameters. For a real rolling practice, the simulated surface temperature was examined and is in good agreement with the measured one.展开更多
A 3D finite element model was established to investigate the temperature and stress fields during the selective laser melting process of Al−Mg−Sc−Zr alloy.By considering the powder−solid transformation,temperaturedepe...A 3D finite element model was established to investigate the temperature and stress fields during the selective laser melting process of Al−Mg−Sc−Zr alloy.By considering the powder−solid transformation,temperaturedependent thermal properties,latent heat of phase transformations and molten pool convection,the effects of laser power,point distance and hatch spacing on the temperature distribution,molten pool dimensions and residual stress distribution were investigated.Then,the effects of laser power,point distance and hatch spacing on the microstructure,density and hardness of the alloy were studied by the experimental method.The results show that the molten pool size gradually increases as the laser power increases and the point distance and hatch spacing decrease.The residual stress mainly concentrates in the middle of the first scanning track and the beginning and end of each scanning track.Experimental results demonstrate the accuracy of the model.The density of the samples tends to increase and then decrease with increasing laser power and decreasing point distance and hatch spacing.The optimum process parameters are laser power of 325−375 W,point distance of 80−100μm and hatch spacing of 80μm.展开更多

In this paper, the temperature field evolution, thermal cycle characteristics, and temperature gradients of multi-layer multi-puss weld-based rapid prototyping are investigated using three-dimensional finite element models presented. The single-puss weld-bused rapid prototyping experiment is carried out. Thermal cycles calculated agree with experimental measurements. Furthermore, simulated results indicate that there exist the pre-heating effect of the fore layer and the post-heating effect of the rear layer in the multi-layer multi-pass weld-based rapid prototyping. In the first layer, the heat accumulates obviously. After the first layer, the dimension increase of the high temperature region behind the molten pool is not obvious. The heat diffusion condition in the first layer is the best, the heat diffusion condition in the second layer is the worst, and the heat diffusion conditions in the higher layers improve gradually.展开更多
The wind and temperature fields at 20 to 55 km above the Antigua launch site(17°N,61°W)were analyzed by using sounding rocket data published by the research organization on Stratosphere-Troposphere Processes...The wind and temperature fields at 20 to 55 km above the Antigua launch site(17°N,61°W)were analyzed by using sounding rocket data published by the research organization on Stratosphere-Troposphere Processes and their Role in Climate(SPARC).The results showed distinct variations in the wind and temperature fields at different heights from the 1960s to the 1990s.The overall zonal wind speed showed a significant increasing trend with the year,and the overall change in meridional wind speed showed a falling trend from 1976 to 1990,whereas the temperature field showed a significant cooling trend from 1964 to 1990.The times the trends mutated varied at different levels.By taking the altitudes at 20,35,and 50 km as representatives,we found that the zonal wind speed trend had mutated in 1988,1986,and 1986,respectively;that the meridional wind speed trend had mutated in 1990,1986,and 1990,respectively;and that the temperature trend had mutated separately in 1977,1973,and 1967,respectively.Characteristics of the periodic wind and temperature field variations at different heights were also analyzed,and obvious differences were found in time scale variations across the different layers.The zonal and meridional wind fields were basically characterized as having a significant periodic variation of 5 years across the three layers,and each level was characterized as having a periodic variation of less than 5 years.Temperature field variation at the three levels was basically characterized as occurring in 10-year and 5-year cycles.展开更多

By making full use of the post results provided by the software, the posteriori error estimation and adaptive accuracy meshing algorithm is developed. So the blindness of the mesh design through experiences can be avoided, and the accuracy requirement is adapted to the relative temperature gradient distribution across the entire domain. Therefore the meshes and solutions can be obtained at the same time. Based on the temperature field analysis, the thermal stress and deformation fields are calculated as well. The results show that the stress concentrates on the edge of the piston pin boss and the inside surface of the first ring groove, and the deformation of the head of the piston is greatest. The exact shape and size of the gasification channel during underground coal gasification(UGC) are of vital importance for the safety and stability of the upper parts of the geological formation.In practice existing g...The exact shape and size of the gasification channel during underground coal gasification(UGC) are of vital importance for the safety and stability of the upper parts of the geological formation.In practice existing geological measurements are insufficient to obtain such information because the coal seam is typically deeply buried and the geological conditions are often complex.This paper introduces a cylindrical model for the gasification channel.The rock and soil masses are assumed to be homogeneous and isotropic and the effect of seepage on the temperature field was neglected.The theory of heat conduction was used to write the equation predicting the temperature field around the gasification channel.The idea of an excess temperature was introduced to solve the equations.Applying this model to UCG in the field for an influence radius,r,of 70 m gave the model parameters,u1,2,3...,of 2.4,5.5,8.7...By adjusting the radius(2,4,or 6 m) reasonable temperatures of the gasification channel were found for 4 m.The temperature distribution in the vertical direction,and the combustion volume,were also calculated.Comparison to field measurements shows that the results obtained from the proposed model are very close to practice.展开更多

According to the relationship between gray-value and material properties,the model was assigned with various materials to make sure that it is more similar to the real femur in geometry and physical properties. 3D temperature distribution is obtained by using finite element analysis software ANSYS 11. 0 on the basis of heat conduction theory,Laplace equation,Pennes bio-heat transfer equation,thermo physical parameters of bone tissues,the boundary condition,and initial conditions. Taken the asymmetry of the 3D distribution of temperature into account,it is necessary to adopt the heating method with multiple heat sources. This method can ensure that the temperature fields match well with the tumor tissues and kill the tumor cells efficiently under the condition of protecting the normal tissues from damage. The analysis results supply important guidance for determining the needle position and the needle number and controlling the intensity of heating.展开更多

Simulation results of welding residual stress indicate that the values of longitudinal and transverse stress on the upper surface of the plate are higher than the normal stress; higher tensile stresses exist at the end of the web weld toes and in the central area of the flange weld toes. And then ANSYS finite element analysis software is used to analyze brazing temperature field at different brazing parameters. The calculation results show that the temperature field of simulation has good agreement with that measured by experiment, which proves dependence of the model built in this paper. And also reference parameters could be provided for real brazing process through calculation in this model. Brazed joint of capiUary to plate with good performance is achieved using VEBB technology. This work presented the development and validation of an analytical method to predict the transient temperature field in the asphalt pavement.The governing equation for heat transfer was based on heat conduction radia...This work presented the development and validation of an analytical method to predict the transient temperature field in the asphalt pavement.The governing equation for heat transfer was based on heat conduction radiation and convection.An innovative time-dependent function was proposed to predict the pavement surface temperature with solar radiation and air temperature using dimensional analysis in order to simplify the complex heat exchange on the pavement surface.The parameters for the time-dependent pavement surface temperature function were obtained through the regression analysis of field measurement data.Assuming that the initial pavement temperature distribution was linear and the influence of the base course materials on the temperature of the upper asphalt layers was negligible,a close-form analytical solution of the temperature in asphalt layers was derived using Green's function.Finally,two numerical examples were presented to validate the model solutions with field temperature measurements.Analysis results show that the solution accuracy is in agreement with field data and the relative errors at a shallower depth are greater than those at a deeper one.Although the model is not sensitive to dramatic changes in climatic factors near the pavement surface,it is applicable for predicting pavement temperature field in cloudless days.展开更多
The phenomenon of heat accumulation and transportation in the composite materials is a very typical and critical issue during drilling process.In this study,a three-dimensional temperature field prediction model is pr...The phenomenon of heat accumulation and transportation in the composite materials is a very typical and critical issue during drilling process.In this study,a three-dimensional temperature field prediction model is proposed using finite difference method,based on the partly homogenization hypothesis of material,to predict temperature field in the process of drilling unidirectional carbon fiber/epoxy(C/E)composites.According to the drilling feed motion,drilling process is divided into four stages to study the temperature distributing characteristics.The results show that the temperature distribution predicted by numerical study has a good agreement with the experimental results.The temperature increases with increasing the drilling depth,and the burn phenomena is observed due to the heat accumulation,especially at the drill exit.Due to the fiber orientation,an elliptical shape of the temperature field along the direction is found for both numerical and experimental studies of C/E composites drilling process.展开更多
Based on transient temperature field theory of heat conduction, the solar temperature field calculation model of U-shape sectioned high-speed railway cable-stayed bridge under actions of concrete beams and ballast was...Based on transient temperature field theory of heat conduction, the solar temperature field calculation model of U-shape sectioned high-speed railway cable-stayed bridge under actions of concrete beams and ballast was established. Using parametric programming language, finite element calculation modules considering climate conditions, bridge site, structure dimension and material thermophysical properties were compiled. Six standard day cycles with the strongest yearly radiation among the bridge sites were selected for sectional solar temperature field calculation and temperature distributions under different temperature-sensitive parameters were compared. The results show that under the influence of sunshine, U-shape section of the beam shows obvious nonlinear distribution characteristics and the maximum cross-section temperature difference is more than 21℃; the ballast significantly reduces sunshine temperature difference of the beam and temperature peak of the bottom margin lags with the increase of ballast thickness; the maximum cross-section vertical temperature gradient appears in summer while large transverse temperature difference appears in winter.展开更多

文摘The wind and temperature fields at 20 to 55 km above the Antigua launch site(17°N,61°W)were analyzed by using sounding rocket data published by the research organization on Stratosphere-Troposphere Processes and their Role in Climate(SPARC).The results showed distinct variations in the wind and temperature fields at different heights from the 1960s to the 1990s.The overall zonal wind speed showed a significant increasing trend with the year,and the overall change in meridional wind speed showed a falling trend from 1976 to 1990,whereas the temperature field showed a significant cooling trend from 1964 to 1990.The times the trends mutated varied at different levels.By taking the altitudes at 20,35,and 50 km as representatives,we found that the zonal wind speed trend had mutated in 1988,1986,and 1986,respectively;that the meridional wind speed trend had mutated in 1990,1986,and 1990,respectively;and that the temperature trend had mutated separately in 1977,1973,and 1967,respectively.Characteristics of the periodic wind and temperature field variations at different heights were also analyzed,and obvious differences were found in time scale variations across the different layers.The zonal and meridional wind fields were basically characterized as having a significant periodic variation of 5 years across the three layers,and each level was characterized as having a periodic variation of less than 5 years.Temperature field variation at the three levels was basically characterized as occurring in 10-year and 5-year cycles.
文摘The adaptive FEM analysis of the temperature field of the piston in one diesel engine is given by using the ANSYS software. By making full use of the post results provided by the software, the posteriori error estimation and adaptive accuracy meshing algorithm is developed. So the blindness of the mesh design through experiences can be avoided, and the accuracy requirement is adapted to the relative temperature gradient distribution across the entire domain. Therefore the meshes and solutions can be obtained at the same time. Based on the temperature field analysis, the thermal stress and deformation fields are calculated as well. The results show that the stress concentrates on the edge of the piston pin boss and the inside surface of the first ring groove, and the deformation of the head of the piston is greatest. But the difference between the long and short axes of the bottom cross section is greatest.

文摘The mathematical model on the temperature of the waved-edge is constructedaccording to Jaeger's theory of moving solid and based on the used temperature model of the flatinsert. It is possible to forecast the milling temperature through programming. The comparableexperiments have been done between the two new three-dimension groove inserts (waved-edge insert,great edge insert) and flat fake insert. The theoretic forecast is in good agreement with theexperimental result. According to the cutting conditions, the boundary condition of finite elementanalysis on cutting temperature field is established, and the three-dimensional temperature fieldsof inserts with grooves are analyzed by FEM, so as to offer a reference basis for the design andoptimization of insert grooves.

文摘The temperature field in MgO single crystal furnace is crucial to grow high-purity MgO single crystals with large sizes. In order to build proper temperature gradient, firstly finite element method (FEM) was used to study the temperature field distributions, and then a temperature controller with adaptive neuro- fuzzy inference system (ANFIS) was developed based on the result of FEM and practical experiences. When the temperature in MgO single crystal furnace was changed, the controller would regulate the positions of three- phase electrodes and the voltage of the power simultaneously. The experimental results indicate that using the adaptive neuro-fuzzy control system can improve the quality and the quantity of the MgO single crystal production.

文摘The exact shape and size of the gasification channel during underground coal gasification(UGC) are of vital importance for the safety and stability of the upper parts of the geological formation.In practice existing geological measurements are insufficient to obtain such information because the coal seam is typically deeply buried and the geological conditions are often complex.This paper introduces a cylindrical model for the gasification channel.The rock and soil masses are assumed to be homogeneous and isotropic and the effect of seepage on the temperature field was neglected.The theory of heat conduction was used to write the equation predicting the temperature field around the gasification channel.The idea of an excess temperature was introduced to solve the equations.Applying this model to UCG in the field for an influence radius,r,of 70 m gave the model parameters,u1,2,3...,of 2.4,5.5,8.7...By adjusting the radius(2,4,or 6 m) reasonable temperatures of the gasification channel were found for 4 m.The temperature distribution in the vertical direction,and the combustion volume,were also calculated.Comparison to field measurements shows that the results obtained from the proposed model are very close to practice.
文摘To know the temperature status of track and wheels on tank,the finite element calculation of temperature field was implemented with ANSYS software.The detailed temperature distributions for road wheel,drive wheel,idle wheel and track loop were obtained.The effect of factors,such as tank speed,environment temperature,sun radiant energy,ground deformation resistant and tank load,on the temperature of road wheel was studied.The sensitivity analysis shows that the effect of tank load on the temperature is the most,and the effect of ground deformation resistant is the least.The temperature testing device for road wheel on tank was developed to perform the experiments in real time.The calculated temperatures are in accord well with the experimental values.

文摘A 3D femoral model was built to obtain the three-dimensional temperature distribution of femur and its surrounding tissues and provide references for clinical applications. According to the relationship between gray-value and material properties,the model was assigned with various materials to make sure that it is more similar to the real femur in geometry and physical properties. 3D temperature distribution is obtained by using finite element analysis software ANSYS 11. 0 on the basis of heat conduction theory,Laplace equation,Pennes bio-heat transfer equation,thermo physical parameters of bone tissues,the boundary condition,and initial conditions. Taken the asymmetry of the 3D distribution of temperature into account,it is necessary to adopt the heating method with multiple heat sources. This method can ensure that the temperature fields match well with the tumor tissues and kill the tumor cells efficiently under the condition of protecting the normal tissues from damage. The analysis results supply important guidance for determining the needle position and the needle number and controlling the intensity of heating.

文摘Based on full scale model of 1-beam and end-plate welding assembly with medium plate, welding temperature field and residual stress were simulated, infrared thermometers were employed to measure the real-time temperature Jbr verification purposes. Results show that the measured thermal cycle curves match well with the simulation result. Simulation results of welding residual stress indicate that the values of longitudinal and transverse stress on the upper surface of the plate are higher than the normal stress; higher tensile stresses exist at the end of the web weld toes and in the central area of the flange weld toes. The dangerous zones are located at the central areas of weld toes of the flange welds and near weld toes of the web welds.
文摘Some parts with capillary to plate joint have important application in aerocrafi. Vacuum electron beam brazing (VEBB) technology is used to realize this jointing with capillaries. Firstly 3D finite element analysis model is built in this paper according to this special structure. And then ANSYS finite element analysis software is used to analyze brazing temperature field at different brazing parameters. The calculation results show that the temperature field of simulation has good agreement with that measured by experiment, which proves dependence of the model built in this paper. And also reference parameters could be provided for real brazing process through calculation in this model. Brazed joint of capiUary to plate with good performance is achieved using VEBB technology. The achievement of the study will be applied in aerocrafi in the future.
文摘The uniform design method was adopted and the twenty-four groups of different geometric and physical pa-rameters were chosen. The finite element model was built. Comparisons between the simulation results and the test re-sults prove that the simulation results are correct. The distribution of the temperature field of the chimney foundationwas analyzed. The multivariate linear regression of the hightest tomperature was performed on the inner wall of thechimney foundation by the numerical calculated results. The fitting property of the highest temperature with six influ-ence factors was obtained. A simple method for the calculation of the temperature field of the chimney foundation wasprovided.

文摘This work presented the development and validation of an analytical method to predict the transient temperature field in the asphalt pavement.The governing equation for heat transfer was based on heat conduction radiation and convection.An innovative time-dependent function was proposed to predict the pavement surface temperature with solar radiation and air temperature using dimensional analysis in order to simplify the complex heat exchange on the pavement surface.The parameters for the time-dependent pavement surface temperature function were obtained through the regression analysis of field measurement data.Assuming that the initial pavement temperature distribution was linear and the influence of the base course materials on the temperature of the upper asphalt layers was negligible,a close-form analytical solution of the temperature in asphalt layers was derived using Green's function.Finally,two numerical examples were presented to validate the model solutions with field temperature measurements.Analysis results show that the solution accuracy is in agreement with field data and the relative errors at a shallower depth are greater than those at a deeper one.Although the model is not sensitive to dramatic changes in climatic factors near the pavement surface,it is applicable for predicting pavement temperature field in cloudless days.

文摘The phenomenon of heat accumulation and transportation in the composite materials is a very typical and critical issue during drilling process.In this study,a three-dimensional temperature field prediction model is proposed using finite difference method,based on the partly homogenization hypothesis of material,to predict temperature field in the process of drilling unidirectional carbon fiber/epoxy(C/E)composites.According to the drilling feed motion,drilling process is divided into four stages to study the temperature distributing characteristics.The results show that the temperature distribution predicted by numerical study has a good agreement with the experimental results.The temperature increases with increasing the drilling depth,and the burn phenomena is observed due to the heat accumulation,especially at the drill exit.Due to the fiber orientation,an elliptical shape of the temperature field along the direction is found for both numerical and experimental studies of C/E composites drilling process.

文摘Based on transient temperature field theory of heat conduction, the solar temperature field calculation model of U-shape sectioned high-speed railway cable-stayed bridge under actions of concrete beams and ballast was established. Using parametric programming language, finite element calculation modules considering climate conditions, bridge site, structure dimension and material thermophysical properties were compiled. Six standard day cycles with the strongest yearly radiation among the bridge sites were selected for sectional solar temperature field calculation and temperature distributions under different temperature-sensitive parameters were compared. The results show that under the influence of sunshine, U-shape section of the beam shows obvious nonlinear distribution characteristics and the maximum cross-section temperature difference is more than 21℃; the ballast significantly reduces sunshine temperature difference of the beam and temperature peak of the bottom margin lags with the increase of ballast thickness; the maximum cross-section vertical temperature gradient appears in summer while large transverse temperature difference appears in winter.
