Ni^(2+)and Cd^(2+)in wastewater accumulated through the ecological chain and could jeopardize human health.Adsorption of Ni^(2+)and Cd^(2+)from wastewater using recovered perlite was an important way to solve the prob...Ni^(2+)and Cd^(2+)in wastewater accumulated through the ecological chain and could jeopardize human health.Adsorption of Ni^(2+)and Cd^(2+)from wastewater using recovered perlite was an important way to solve the problem of resource utilization of solid waste from agar production.Our previous study confirmed that recovered perlite from agar extraction residue had better pore size and specific surface area than commercial perlite.However,the adsorption efficiency and adsorption mechanism of recovered perlite were the main factors limiting its adsorption application.The adsorption process of Ni^(2+)and Cd^(2+)by recovered perlite in aqueous solution was described by the pseudo-second-order kinetic equation,and the relevant adsorption mechanism was mainly chemisorption.Compared with commercial perlite,the adsorption removal rate of Ni^(2+)and Cd^(2+)by enzymatic recovered perlite could reach 92.9%and 89.2%,respectively,and were improved by 12.63%and 13.03%.Langmuir isothermal adsorption model could better describe the isothermal adsorption process of recovered perlite on heavy metal Ni^(2+)and Cd^(2+),and the relevant adsorption mechanism was mainly monolayer adsorption.The X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS)results indicated that the decrease of Si—O Si^(2+)hydroxyl coordination bond and the increase of C—Si bond might make the binding effect of recovered perlite with heavy metals stronger.The competitive adsorption of Ni^(2+)and Cd^(2+)by recovered perlite was still dominated by chemisorption and monolayer adsorption.This study was expected to provide a theoretical basis and technical support for the removal of Ni^(2+)and Cd^(2+)from wastewater using recovered perlite from seaweed residue.展开更多

The objective of this study was to evaluate the effects of soil [i.e., Creldon silt loam (Oxyaquic Fragiudalf) and Calloway silt loam (Aquic Fraglossudalf) series], fertilizer-P source [i.e., synthetically produced electrochemically precipitated struvite (ECSTsyn), real-wastewater-derived ECST (ECSTreal), chemically precipitated struvite (CPST), monoammonium phosphate (MAP), and an unamended control (UC)], and irrigation water type (i.e., tapwater and struvite-removed wastewater) on corn (Zea mays L.) and soybean [Glycine max (L.) Merr.] growth and N, P, and magnesium (Mg) uptake in a 60-day, greenhouse potted-plant study. Crop growth and N, P, and Mg uptakes for the struvite treatments (i.e., CPST, ECSTsyn, and ECSTreal) were generally similar to or at least 1.2 times greater than MAP. The ECSTsyn material commonly had up to five times greater N, P, and Mg uptake in corn and soybean than any other fertilizer-P source. Struvite-removed wastewater resulted in at least 1.3 times lower dry matter and N, P, and Mg uptake than tapwater. Similar corn and soybean results from the struvite fertilizers among the various soil-water type combinations compared to MAP suggest that struvite generates similar crop responses as at least one widely used, commercially available, multi-nutrient fertilizer-P source.展开更多
Although millions of patients have clinically recovered from COVID-19,little is known about the immune status of lymphocytes in these individuals.In this study,the peripheral blood mononuclear cells of a clinically re...Although millions of patients have clinically recovered from COVID-19,little is known about the immune status of lymphocytes in these individuals.In this study,the peripheral blood mononuclear cells of a clinically recovered(CR)cohort were comparatively analyzed with those of an age-and sex-matched healthy donor cohort.We found that CD8^(+)T cells in the CR cohort had higher numbers of effector T cells and effector memory T cells but lower Tc1(IFN-γ^(+)),Tc2(IL-4^(+)),and Tc17(IL-17A^(+))cell frequencies.The CD4^(+)T cells of the CR cohort were decreased in frequency,especially the central memory T cell subset.Moreover,CD4^(+)T cells in the CR cohort showed lower programmed cell death protein 1(PD-1)expression and had lower frequencies of Th1(IFN-γ^(+)),Th2(IL-4^(+)),Th17(IL-17A^(+)),and circulating follicular helper T(CXCR5^(+)PD-1^(+))cells.Accordingly,the proportion of isotype-switched memory B cells(IgM−CD20^(hi))among B cells in the CR cohort showed a significantly lower proportion,although the level of the activation marker CD71 was elevated.For CD3−HLA-DR−lymphocytes in the CR cohort,in addition to lower levels of IFN-γ,granzyme B and T-bet,the correlation between T-bet and IFN-γ was not observed.Additionally,by taking into account the number of days after discharge,all the phenotypes associated with reduced function did not show a tendency toward recovery within 4-11 weeks.The remarkable phenotypic alterations in lymphocytes in the CR cohort suggest that severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 infection profoundly affects lymphocytes and potentially results in dysfunction even after clinical recovery.展开更多
Phosphorus(P)recovery from incinerated sewage sludge ash(ISSA)has been extensively investigated,but insufficient research has been conducted to evaluate the effect of different kinds of recovered phosphate fertilizers...Phosphorus(P)recovery from incinerated sewage sludge ash(ISSA)has been extensively investigated,but insufficient research has been conducted to evaluate the effect of different kinds of recovered phosphate fertilizers(RPFs)on plant growth with respect to the P and heavy metal contents of RPFs.In this study,three kinds of RPFs,precipitated calcium phosphate fertilizer(CaP),struvite phosphate fertilizer(SP),and P-loaded biochar(BP),produced from ISSA were characterized,and their agronomic effectiveness was verified by hydroponic and soil cultivation.In addition to the three kinds of RPFs,a control group(mono-phosphate fertilizer in hydroponic group/compound fertilizer in soil cultivation group)and a blank control group(BC,with zero P)were tested on choy sum and ryegrass at the same time.SP has the highest P purity(76.0%of struvite)while the BP has the most complex P species(P was co-exist with Fe,Al,and Mg).Plant growth results showed that the RPFs greatly facilitated plant growth and demonstrated superior/comparable effects to those of control group.In hydroponics testing,SP showed the best effect(shoot length of 17.0 cm,chlorophyll content of 2.05 mg/g)due to the Mg involved and the high P purity of SP,while BP performed the best(shoot length of 13.7 cm,chlorophyll content of 2.42 mg/g)in the soil testing system among all of the groups because of the additional nutritional elements and the high P availability of BP.Additionally,the accumulation of heavy metals in the plants under all conditions did not exceed the limits stipulated in the regulations.These results indicate that recovering P from ISSA is an attractive technology to produce P fertilizers,which can alleviate both the scarcity of phosphate resources and the burden of ISSA management.展开更多

When these networks are subject to some random or deliberate attacks, some nodes in the network fail, which causes a decline in the network performance. In order to make the network run normally, some of the failed nodes must be recovered. In the case of limited recovery resources, an effective key node identification method can find the key recovering node in the failed nodes, by which the network performance can be recovered most of the failed nodes. We propose two key recovering node identification methods for spatial networks, which are the Euclidean-distance recovery method and the route-length recovery method. Simulations on homogeneous and heterogeneous spatial networks show that the proposed methods can significantly recover the network performance.展开更多

The changes after treatment were ob-served chiefly by electromyography while sensory and motor improvement were also re-corded as auxiliary indicators. The therapeutic results in the acupuncture group were 5 cases cured, 26 markedly effective, 19 unproved, and 4 cases failed, a total effective rate of 92.6% in contrast to the 55.6% for the controls. Analysis of the therapeutic results showed that 1) those in the acupuncture group were significantly better than in the control group; 2) nerve injuries should be treated as early as possible; 3) the radial nerve and the common peroneal nerve recovered faster than others; 4) cases not surgically explored recovered faster than those that were, and 5) patients with prompt propagation of the needling sensation recovered significantly faster than those with slow propagation.展开更多
Identifying influential nodes in complex networks is one of the most significant and challenging issues,which may contribute to optimizing the network structure,controlling the process of epidemic spreading and accele...Identifying influential nodes in complex networks is one of the most significant and challenging issues,which may contribute to optimizing the network structure,controlling the process of epidemic spreading and accelerating information diffusion.The node importance ranking measures based on global information are not suitable for large-scale networks due to their high computational complexity.Moreover,they do not take into account the impact of network topology evolution over time,resulting in limitations in some applications.Based on local information of networks,a local clustering H-index(LCH)centrality measure is proposed,which considers neighborhood topology,the quantity and quality of neighbor nodes simultaneously.The proposed measure only needs the information of first-order and second-order neighbor nodes of networks,thus it has nearly linear time complexity and can be applicable to large-scale networks.In order to test the proposed measure,we adopt the susceptible-infected-recovered(SIR)and susceptible-infected(SI)models to simulate the spreading process.A series of experimental results on eight real-world networks illustrate that the proposed LCH can identify and rank influential nodes more accurately than several classical and state-of-the-art measures.展开更多

The same SDS-PAGE procedure was used to isolate P700 Chl-proteins from spinach (Spinacea okracea ) and another marine green alga Codium fragile . Polyclonal antibodies to Bryopsis P700 protein were raised in rabbits. The antibodies were shown to cross-react with P700 Chl-protein and Chl-protein complexes containing P700 protein from B . Corticulans, C. f ragile, and even spinach. Results indicate similarity of the amino acid sequences of the P700 Chl-proteins and the highly conserved structure of the apoproteins of phylogenetically distant species over evolution. The antibodies cross-react with none of the components of PSUU in the species tested , indicating an independent pathway of evolution of photosystem I and photosystem II of later origin.展开更多

'Jing 411 ', 'Jinmai 47' and their 34 near isogenic lines (NILs) were used as test materials. Semi-automatic rainproof shelter and the percolating pools were used for simulating drought treat- ment. After suffering severe drought stress, winter wheat crops were rewatered at early jointing stage. The biomass accumulation after rewatering was determined as recovery ability index. In the meanwhile, plant height in the end of vegetative growth stage was measured, and WUE of varieties/lines was also determined. Thereafter, the differences in recovery ability, plant height and the population WUE, together with the correlation between recovery ability and population WUE were analyzed, respectively. The results showed that there were significant differences in recovery ability among some varieties/lines. The recovery ability was affected by both geno- type and environment, and the interaction existed in these two factors. Significant differences existed in plant height and population WUE among the 34 NILs along with their parents. There was a significantly positive correlation between recovery ability and plant height of varieties/lines. Recovery ability and plant height were very significantly and positively correlated with population yield WUE respectively. The re- sults indicated that recovery ability after drought stress-rewatering could be used as an evaluating index of population WUE under drought condition.展开更多

文摘Phosphorus(P)recovery from incinerated sewage sludge ash(ISSA)has been extensively investigated,but insufficient research has been conducted to evaluate the effect of different kinds of recovered phosphate fertilizers(RPFs)on plant growth with respect to the P and heavy metal contents of RPFs.In this study,three kinds of RPFs,precipitated calcium phosphate fertilizer(CaP),struvite phosphate fertilizer(SP),and P-loaded biochar(BP),produced from ISSA were characterized,and their agronomic effectiveness was verified by hydroponic and soil cultivation.In addition to the three kinds of RPFs,a control group(mono-phosphate fertilizer in hydroponic group/compound fertilizer in soil cultivation group)and a blank control group(BC,with zero P)were tested on choy sum and ryegrass at the same time.SP has the highest P purity(76.0%of struvite)while the BP has the most complex P species(P was co-exist with Fe,Al,and Mg).Plant growth results showed that the RPFs greatly facilitated plant growth and demonstrated superior/comparable effects to those of control group.In hydroponics testing,SP showed the best effect(shoot length of 17.0 cm,chlorophyll content of 2.05 mg/g)due to the Mg involved and the high P purity of SP,while BP performed the best(shoot length of 13.7 cm,chlorophyll content of 2.42 mg/g)in the soil testing system among all of the groups because of the additional nutritional elements and the high P availability of BP.Additionally,the accumulation of heavy metals in the plants under all conditions did not exceed the limits stipulated in the regulations.These results indicate that recovering P from ISSA is an attractive technology to produce P fertilizers,which can alleviate both the scarcity of phosphate resources and the burden of ISSA management.

文摘Many networks in the real world have spatial attributes, such as location of nodes and length of edges, called spatial networks. When these networks are subject to some random or deliberate attacks, some nodes in the network fail, which causes a decline in the network performance. In order to make the network run normally, some of the failed nodes must be recovered. In the case of limited recovery resources, an effective key node identification method can find the key recovering node in the failed nodes, by which the network performance can be recovered most of the failed nodes. We propose two key recovering node identification methods for spatial networks, which are the Euclidean-distance recovery method and the route-length recovery method. Simulations on homogeneous and heterogeneous spatial networks show that the proposed methods can significantly recover the network performance.

文摘Driving behavior modeling is very important in the research area of road traffic systems safety analysis. The characteristics of action of recovering from erroneous driving condition underlying road traffic accident or incident scenarios is quantitatively analyzed, the model of action of recovering from erroneous driving condition is set up according to the identification of erroneous driving condition and the measurement of correction from erroneous driving condition. And then, the probability of action of recovering from erroneous driving condition has been measured based on a revised decision tree. The measure process uses a combination of test data and subjective judgments of driving behavior. It can provide a very helpful theoretical basis for the further analysis of driving behavior in road traffic system.
文摘54 cases of peripheral nerve injury were treated by electric acupuncture and compared with 54 control cases treated with supportive medication. The changes after treatment were ob-served chiefly by electromyography while sensory and motor improvement were also re-corded as auxiliary indicators. The therapeutic results in the acupuncture group were 5 cases cured, 26 markedly effective, 19 unproved, and 4 cases failed, a total effective rate of 92.6% in contrast to the 55.6% for the controls. Analysis of the therapeutic results showed that 1) those in the acupuncture group were significantly better than in the control group; 2) nerve injuries should be treated as early as possible; 3) the radial nerve and the common peroneal nerve recovered faster than others; 4) cases not surgically explored recovered faster than those that were, and 5) patients with prompt propagation of the needling sensation recovered significantly faster than those with slow propagation.

文摘Identifying influential nodes in complex networks is one of the most significant and challenging issues,which may contribute to optimizing the network structure,controlling the process of epidemic spreading and accelerating information diffusion.The node importance ranking measures based on global information are not suitable for large-scale networks due to their high computational complexity.Moreover,they do not take into account the impact of network topology evolution over time,resulting in limitations in some applications.Based on local information of networks,a local clustering H-index(LCH)centrality measure is proposed,which considers neighborhood topology,the quantity and quality of neighbor nodes simultaneously.The proposed measure only needs the information of first-order and second-order neighbor nodes of networks,thus it has nearly linear time complexity and can be applicable to large-scale networks.In order to test the proposed measure,we adopt the susceptible-infected-recovered(SIR)and susceptible-infected(SI)models to simulate the spreading process.A series of experimental results on eight real-world networks illustrate that the proposed LCH can identify and rank influential nodes more accurately than several classical and state-of-the-art measures.
文摘P700 Chi-protein was isolated from a marine green alga Bryopsis corticulans with SDS-resolved thylakoid membranes by SDS-PAGE. After elution from the gel, the recovered protein revealed a 100 KD polypeptide by re-electrophoresis . The same SDS-PAGE procedure was used to isolate P700 Chl-proteins from spinach (Spinacea okracea ) and another marine green alga Codium fragile . Polyclonal antibodies to Bryopsis P700 protein were raised in rabbits. The antibodies were shown to cross-react with P700 Chl-protein and Chl-protein complexes containing P700 protein from B . Corticulans, C. f ragile, and even spinach. Results indicate similarity of the amino acid sequences of the P700 Chl-proteins and the highly conserved structure of the apoproteins of phylogenetically distant species over evolution. The antibodies cross-react with none of the components of PSUU in the species tested , indicating an independent pathway of evolution of photosystem I and photosystem II of later origin.

文摘An asymmetry power clock,4 phase power clock supplying the power to the DSCRL(dual swing charge recovery logic) adiabatic circuit is presented.It is much simpler than the 6 phase power clock,symmetry power clock,used in the DSCRL adiabatic circuit.Although the 4 phase power clock is simpler,the DSCRL adiabatic circuit still shows good performance and high efficiency of energy transfer and recovery.This conclusion has been proved by the result of the HSPICE simulation using the 0 6μm CMOS technology.
文摘The study aims at exploring the possibility of using the recovery ability af- ter drought stress-rewatering at vegetative growth stage as the evaluating index in water use efficiency (WUE) of winter wheat varieties. 'Jing 411 ', 'Jinmai 47' and their 34 near isogenic lines (NILs) were used as test materials. Semi-automatic rainproof shelter and the percolating pools were used for simulating drought treat- ment. After suffering severe drought stress, winter wheat crops were rewatered at early jointing stage. The biomass accumulation after rewatering was determined as recovery ability index. In the meanwhile, plant height in the end of vegetative growth stage was measured, and WUE of varieties/lines was also determined. Thereafter, the differences in recovery ability, plant height and the population WUE, together with the correlation between recovery ability and population WUE were analyzed, respectively. The results showed that there were significant differences in recovery ability among some varieties/lines. The recovery ability was affected by both geno- type and environment, and the interaction existed in these two factors. Significant differences existed in plant height and population WUE among the 34 NILs along with their parents. There was a significantly positive correlation between recovery ability and plant height of varieties/lines. Recovery ability and plant height were very significantly and positively correlated with population yield WUE respectively. The re- sults indicated that recovery ability after drought stress-rewatering could be used as an evaluating index of population WUE under drought condition.
文摘The authors’ traditional Chinese herbal prescrip-tion,Qiang Zhuang Ling,was used to treat childhoodanorexia with Spleen deficiency.For comparison,a group of cases treated by zinc sulphate solution wasalso set up as controls.After a course of treatment,the therapeutic effect in the Qiang Zhuang Ling groupwas significantly better than in the zinc sulphategroup.Furthermore,in both groups,the level of hairzinc were markedly increased;the ultrastructure ofhair was recovered;and the activity of macrophageswas enhanced.
