Secrecy Efficiency Maximization in Intelligent Reflective Surfaces Assisted UAV Communications

This paper focuses on the secrecy efficiency maximization in intelligent reflecting surface(IRS)assisted unmanned aerial vehicle(UAV)communication.With the popularization of UAV technology,more and more communication scenarios need UAV support.We consider using IRS to improve the secrecy efficiency.Specifically,IRS and UAV trajectories work together to counter potential eavesdroppers,while balancing the secrecy rate and energy consumption.The original problem is difficult to solve due to the coupling of optimization variables.We first introduce secrecy efficiency as an auxiliary variable and propose relaxation optimization problem,and then prove the equivalence between relaxation problem and the original problem.Then an iterative algorithm is proposed by applying the block coordinate descent(BCD)method and the inner approximationmethod.The simulation results show that the proposed algorithm converges fast and is superior to the existing schemes.In addition,in order to improve the robustness of the algorithm,we also pay attention to the case of obtaining imperfect channel state information(CSI).

Examining the Current State of Reflective Teaching Practices Among Newly Appointed Primary School Teachers

This study focused on three newly appointed primary school teachers in City D as research subjects.Utilizing research methods such as interviews,text analysis,and observation,the findings revealed that these teachers exhibited a substantial grasp of teaching reflection.The predominant emphasis in their teaching reflection levels was observed at the technical reasonable reflection and practical action reflection stages.To enhance the reflection levels of these novice teachers,it is recommended to foster their professional ethics,institute a diverse training system,and enhance the school’s infrastructure and institutional support systems.

Incorporating the Reflective Approach into Teacher Professional Development

There exists an increasing tendency in the ELT field that the teaching is referred as a profession. In our context, being professional means being the effective teacher, which is required to develop continuously throughout the whole career. Teacher professional development, in this article, mainly the issue of teacher professional self-development is discussed. In order for that to be realized, the reflective approach is bring introduced. Here, the reflective approach is primarily based on doing Action Research that includes Rettospective technique, Observation technique, Questionnaires and Interviews and Case Study.

Reflective Teacher: the Goal of Teacher Education

This paper aims at exploring one of the goals of Teacher Education: reflective teacher. It is based on some references from literature and also my personal understanding about the idea of teaching, the idea of reflection, the idea of becoming a reflective teacher and the needs of a reflective teacher. In order to achieve such a goal, I also designed a training activity which tallies with the actual situation in China.

Being Reflective Practitioners In the Professional Development

Reflective Consciousness of Teaching and Learning on English Curriculum in Higher Vocational Colleges

Thermal Performance of Building Roof with Infrared Reflective Coatings

This paper investigated the applicability and effects of infrared reflective coating on energy consumption of factory building in hot summer and warm winter zone.It first resorted to theoretical calculation,which demonstrated the beneficial effects of infrared reflective coating on reducing building energy consumption.Then it analyzed a field measurement done on two identical rooms respectively with ordinary coated roof and infrared reflective coated roof from November 2006 to October 2007,on a 24h basis.The measured data include exterior and interior roof surface temperature,indoor air temperature,and indoor globe temperature.The related weather data is from a weather station near the measured area.The continuous measurement has been accomplished in southern China,and the measured data indicate that roof surface temperature and heat gain are significantly decreased in summer while slight negative effects in winter are induced by adopting infrared reflective coating.Thus it is simple and applicable to reduce building energy consumption in this area by applying infrared reflective coating.Regress equation between reduced roof thermal property,such as surface temperature and heat gain,and reduction in absorbed solar radiation shows their highly linear relationship.Based on the measured data,it is estimated that the reduced power consumption is 3.45 kWh/m2·month in June.

Design of NO2 photoacoustic sensor with high reflective mirror based on low power blue diode laser

An NO2 photoacoustic sensor system with a high reflective mirror based on a low power blue diode laser is developed in this work. The excitation power is enhanced by increasing the number of reflections. Comparing with a traditional photoacoustic system, the pool constant is improved from 300.24(Pa·cm)/W to 1450.64(Pa·cm)/W, and the signal sensitivity of the photoacoustic sensor is increased from 0.016 μV/ppb to 0.2562 μV/ppb. The characteristics of temperature and humidity of the new photoacoustic sensor are also obtained, and the algorithm is adjusted to provide a quantitative response and drift of the resonance frequency. The results of this research provide a new method and concept for further developing the NO2 photoacoustic sensors.

Realities of Reflective Practice Skill among Public Health Nurses in Japan and Related Learning and Lifestyle Factors

Background: According to the diversification of the health needs and the expansion of health disparities, it is necessary to raise their reflective practice skills so that PHNs present more appropriate activities. The purpose of this study was to elucidate the realities of reflective practice skills among public health nurses in Japan and identify related factors. Methods: This study covered 1725 public health nurses in the Chugoku/Shikoku area. We conducted an anonymous self-completed questionnaire survey. As reflective practice skills (RPS), we adopted the six components of the six cycles of the Gibbs reflective model. We used the 20 criteria of the Scale for Practical Competence (SPC). We set 25 learning history/daily lifestyle items. The study plan was approved by the Ethics Committee of Okayama University. Results: We analyzed the 962 (55.8%) valid responses. Although years of experience as a public health nurse was highly correlated with practical skills as measured by SPC, with a correlation coefficient of 0.627, it was not closely related with RPS, with a correlation coefficient as low as 0.129. A logistic regression analysis of the eight learning history items and six daily lifestyle items associated with RPS, with the introduction of the high/low RPS groups as dependent variables, showed a convergence to five factors (odds ratio of 1.38 - 2.29). Conclusions: Going forward, we will need to consider how to accumulate learning on a daily basis and how to include positive health practice in PHN education, in connection with exploring the curriculum and method of training.

Design of Reflective, Photonic Shields for Atmospheric Reentry

We present the design of one-dimensional photonic crystal structures, which can be used as omnidirectional reflecting shields against radiative heating of space vehicles entering the Earth’s atmosphere. This radiation is approximated by two broad bands centered at visible and nearinfrared energies. We applied two approaches to find structures with the best omnidirectional reflecting performance. The first approach is based on a band gap analysis and leads to structures composed of stacked Bragg mirrors. In the second approach, we optimize the structure using an evolutionary strategy. The suggested structures are compared with a simple design of two stacked Bragg mirrors. Choice of the constituent materials for the layers as well as the influence of interlayer diffusion at high temperatures are discussed.

Low insertion loss silicon-based spatial light modulator with high reflective materials outside Fabry–Perot cavity

The extinction ratio and insertion loss of spatial light modulator are subject to the material problem, thus limiting its applications. One reflection-type silicon-based spatial light modulator with high reflective materials outside the Fabry-Perot cavity is demonstrated in this paper. The reflectivity values of the outside-cavity materials with different film layer numbers are simulated. The reflectivity values of 6-pair Ta2O5/SiO2 films at 1550 nm are experimentally verified to be as high as 99.9%. The surfaces of 6-pair Ta2O5/SiO2 films are smooth: their root-mean-square roughness values are as small as 0.53 nm. The insertion loss of the device at 1550 nm is only 1.2 dB. The high extinction ratio of the device at 1550 nm and 11 V is achieved to be 29.7 dB. The spatial light modulator has a high extinction ratio and low insertion loss for applications.

Optical Design for the Off-axis Reflective Optics with Wide Field

Reflective optics with wide field of view has been applied more and more widely in EUVL or space optics, and also plays an important role in promoting scientific and technological research. Among the reflective optics, the off-axis reflective optics is the most hopeful solution to the ever-highest demands of these applications. This paper gives the requirements of both the above mentioned applications and the similarities and differences between these two kinds of optical systems. Finally, a design example of off-axis reflective optics with wide field of view is presented and described.

Reflective State Pattern with Dynamic Constructiveness

After discussing the reflective method of structure and behavior in the State design pattern based on Role Object pattern and the Reflective pattern of software architecture, this paper proposes a reflective state pattern with dynamic constructiveness. This paper explains the meta level and the base level, which are two levels of this pattern, and specifies the relation of two levels by using Meta Object Protocol (MOP). Then it discusses mechanism of interception and reification for reflecting base object from Meta object. Finally this paper gives an example of network server for applying the Reflective State pattern.

A Case Study on the Development of Reflective Thinking Through Journal Writing

Reflective thinking and teachers' professional development has become a focus since the new curriculum reform.Based on a case study among English teachers in Zhangjiashan Middle School, this paper aims to find out the effectiveness to improve the reflective thinking by journal writing and the extent to which the journal writing is involved. From the result, a conclusion can be reached that journal writing can provide an opportunity for teachers to write reflectively about their teaching, and teachers differ in the extent to which they can write reflectively.
