Diamond, cubic boron nitride(c-BN), silicon(Si), and germanium(Ge), as examples of typical strong covalent materials, have been extensively investigated in recent decades, owing to their fundamental importance in mate...Diamond, cubic boron nitride(c-BN), silicon(Si), and germanium(Ge), as examples of typical strong covalent materials, have been extensively investigated in recent decades, owing to their fundamental importance in material science and industry. However, an in-depth analysis of the character of these materials' mechanical behaviors under harsh service environments, such as high pressure, has yet to be conducted. Based on several mechanical criteria, the effect of pressure on the mechanical properties of these materials is comprehensively investigated.It is demonstrated that, with respect to their intrinsic brittleness/ductile nature, all these materials exhibit ubiquitous pressure-enhanced ductility. By analyzing the strength variation under uniform deformation, together with the corresponding electronic structures, we reveal for the first time that the pressure-induced mechanical softening/weakening exhibits distinct characteristics between diamond and c-BN, owing to the differences in their abnormal charge-depletion evolution under applied strain, whereas a monotonous weakening phenomenon is observed in Si and Ge. Further investigation into dislocation-mediated plastic resistance indicates that the pressure-induced shuffle-set plane softening in diamond(c-BN), and weakening in Si(Ge), can be attributed to the reduction of antibonding states below the Fermi level, and an enhanced metallization, corresponding to the weakening of the bonds around the slipped plane with increasing pressure, respectively. These findings not only reveal the physical mechanism of pressure-induced softening/weakening in covalent materials, but also highlights the necessity of exploring strain-tunable electronic structures to emphasize the mechanical response in such covalent materials.展开更多

The bis(phosphine oxide) compound shows HOMO/LUMO levels of ∽-6.71/- 2.5...We report a simple hole-blocking material (biphenyl-3,3'-diyl)bis(diphenylphosphine oxide) (BiPh-m-BiDPO) based on our recent advance. The bis(phosphine oxide) compound shows HOMO/LUMO levels of ∽-6.71/- 2.51 eV. Its phosphorescent spectrum in a solid film features two major emission bands peaking at 2.69 and 2.4eV, corresponding to 0-0 and 01 vibronic transitions, respectively. The measurement of the electron-only devices reveals that BiPh-m-BiDPO possesses electron mobility of 2.28 × 10^-9-3.22× 10^-8cm2 V-1s-1 at E = 2- 5 × 10^5 V/cm. The characterization of the sky blue fluorescent and red phosphorescent pin organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs) utilizing BiPh-m-BiDPO as the hole blocker shows that its shallow LUMO level as well as the low electron mobility affects significantly the power efficiency and hence operational stability, relative to the luminous efficiency, especially at high luminance. In combination with our recent results, the present study provides an indepth insight on the molecular structure-property correlation in the organic phosphinyl-containing hole-blocking materials.展开更多

Endobuccal localization is very rare. Its discovery is often made in the late stage, which leads to a consistently pessimistic diagnostic. We report a case of palatal melanoma at the metastatic stage. Case Report: A 43-year-old woman presented left lateral cervical swelling associated with dyspnea for 5 months. She had regularly taken chewing tobacco for 4 years and had developed blackish gums. The endobuccal examination showed a blackish non-haemorrhagic swelling of 5 cm of the long axis, located at the level of the palatal vault, associated with pigmentation in teeth 21, 22, and 23. The anatomopathological examination confirmed the melanoma. The spreading assessment revealed pleural and hepatic metastasis. The proposed treatment was palliative treatment. The patient died 2 months later. Conclusion: Melanoma of the oral mucosa is a very aggressive tumor. The scarcities of dental care among the Malagasy people exacerbate the delay in diagnosis. Its management is still challenging in Madagascar.展开更多

Polarity is an integral microenvironment parameter in biological systems closely associated with a multitude of cellular processes.Abnormal polarity variations accompany the initiation and development of pathophysiolo...Polarity is an integral microenvironment parameter in biological systems closely associated with a multitude of cellular processes.Abnormal polarity variations accompany the initiation and development of pathophysiological processes.Thus,monitoring the abnormal polarity is of scientific and practical importance.Current state-of-the-art monitoring techniques are primarily based on fluorescence imaging which relies on a single emission intensity and may cause inaccurate detection due to heterogeneous accumulation of the probes.Herein,we report carbon dots(CDs)with ultra-sensitive responses to polarity.The CDs exhibit two linear relationships:one between fluorescence intensity and polarity and the other between polarity and the maximum emission wavelength.The emission spectrum is an intrinsic property of the probes,independent of the excitation intensity or probe concentration.These features enable two-color imaging/quantitation of polarity changes in lipid droplets(LDs)and in the cytoplasm via in situ emission spectroscopy.The probes reveal the polarity heterogeneity in LDs which can be applied to make a distinction between cancer and normal cells,and reveal the polarity homogeneity in cytoplasm.展开更多
Transmission through seemingly opaque surfaces,so-called extraordinary transmission,provides an exciting platform for strong light–matter interaction,spectroscopy,optical trapping,and color filtering.Much of the effo...Transmission through seemingly opaque surfaces,so-called extraordinary transmission,provides an exciting platform for strong light–matter interaction,spectroscopy,optical trapping,and color filtering.Much of the effort has been devoted to understanding and exploiting TM extraordinary transmission,while TE anomalous extraordinary transmission has been largely omitted in the literature.This is regrettable from a practical point of view since the stronger dependence of the TE anomalous extraordinary transmission on the array’s substrate provides additional design parameters for exploitation.To provide high-performance and cost-effective applications based on TE anomalous extraordinary transmission,a complete physical insight about the underlying mechanisms of the phenomenon must be first laid down.To this end,resorting to a combined methodology including quasi-optical terahertz(THz)time-domain measurements,full-wave simulations,and method of moments analysis,subwavelength slit arrays under s-polarized illumination are studied here,filling the void in the current literature.We believe this work unequivocally reveals the leaky-wave role of the grounded-dielectric slab mode mediating in TE anomalous extraordinary transmission and provides the necessary framework to design practical high-performance THz components and systems.展开更多

This manuscript presents a preliminary investigation on the applicability of hyperspectral imaging technology for nondestructive and rapid analysis to reveal covered original handwritings.The hyperspectral imager Nuan...This manuscript presents a preliminary investigation on the applicability of hyperspectral imaging technology for nondestructive and rapid analysis to reveal covered original handwritings.The hyperspectral imager Nuance‑Macro was used to collect the reflected light signature of inks from the overlapping parts.The software Nuance1p46 was used to analyze the reflected light signature of inks which shows the covered original handwritings.Different types of black/blue ballpoint pen inks and black/blue gel pen inks were chosen for sample preparation.From the hyperspectral images examined,the covered original handwritings of application were revealed in 90.5%,69.1%,49.5%,and 78.6%of the cases.Further,the correlation between the revealing effect and spectral characteristics of the reflected light of inks at the overlapping parts was interpreted through theoretical analysis and experimental verification.The results indicated that when the spectral characteristics of the reflected light of inks at the overlapping parts were the same or very similar to that of the ink that was used to cover the original handwriting,the original handwriting could not be shown.On the contrary,when the spectral characteristics of the reflected light of inks at the overlapping parts were different to that of the ink that was used to cover the original handwriting,the original handwriting was revealed.展开更多

文摘This manuscript presents a preliminary investigation on the applicability of hyperspectral imaging technology for nondestructive and rapid analysis to reveal covered original handwritings.The hyperspectral imager Nuance‑Macro was used to collect the reflected light signature of inks from the overlapping parts.The software Nuance1p46 was used to analyze the reflected light signature of inks which shows the covered original handwritings.Different types of black/blue ballpoint pen inks and black/blue gel pen inks were chosen for sample preparation.From the hyperspectral images examined,the covered original handwritings of application were revealed in 90.5%,69.1%,49.5%,and 78.6%of the cases.Further,the correlation between the revealing effect and spectral characteristics of the reflected light of inks at the overlapping parts was interpreted through theoretical analysis and experimental verification.The results indicated that when the spectral characteristics of the reflected light of inks at the overlapping parts were the same or very similar to that of the ink that was used to cover the original handwriting,the original handwriting could not be shown.On the contrary,when the spectral characteristics of the reflected light of inks at the overlapping parts were different to that of the ink that was used to cover the original handwriting,the original handwriting was revealed.

文摘Based on the analysis of rice planting and export development in Heilongjiang Province in 2013-2021,this paper comprehensively used three export competitiveness analysis methods,namely,trade competitiveness index,revealed comparative advantage(RCA)analysis and international market share analysis,to compare the four major rice exporters in the world and the three major rice export provinces and cities in China.Besides,it evaluated the rice export competitiveness of Heilongjiang Province from multiple perspectives.It analyzed the reasons for low competitiveness in terms of export product structure,export market structure,production and processing technology,and brand building.Finally,it is recommended to clarify the positioning of rice export quality and take more measures to ensure product quality;improve the level of industrialization of rice production and processing,and extend the rice industry chain;develop diversified rice export markets and improve export flexibility;adhere to the principle of"opening the door and going out",expand the international popularity of high-quality brands,so as to enhance the rice export competitiveness of Heilongjiang Province.

文摘This paper deals with the competitiveness of Chinese agricultural products, base on the index of revealed comparative advantage (RCA) using lots of data for the period of 1980 to 2003. The index is useful in identifying the demarcation between comparative advantage and comparative disadvantage. The research indicates that some agro-products in China such as edible vegetables and tea have a comparative advantage, but the RCA values have been declining over the 24-year period, which has vast impacts on future reform in China’s agricultural structure.

文摘Constructing a model for international carbon emissions trading is an effective method to curb global warming through a market mechanism.Although the international carbon emissions market generates substantial profits,the relevant trading mechanism has been far from perfect.The perfect mechanism for international carbon emissions trading should be a revealing preference game.In other words,only if all players in this game truly show their information and preferences can the Nash outcome be Pareto efficient and fair.China should actively participate in the international carbon emissions trading game;promote efficiency,justice,rationality,and the quality of being manipulation-free in the carbon emissions market;and play a more important role in perfecting the international carbon emissions trading mechanism.
