In this paper we study the gain saturation induced mode-coupling control in solid state ring laser devices based on the stimulated Raman effect of the polar crystals in.order to realize solid state ring laser gyroscopes. We theoretically investigate the mode coupling induced by gain saturation between clockwise (CW) and counterclockwise (CCW) propa- gating laser modes. Because the CW and CCW running waves are pumped with counter-propagating lasers respectively, the independent coexistence can be ensured. 展开更多

Using the mean-field normalized Lugiato-Lefever equation,we theoretically investigate the dynamics of cavity soliton and comb generation in the presence of Raman effect and the third-order dispersion. Both of them can induce the temporal drift and frequency shift.Based on the moment analysis method,we analytically obtain the temporal and frequency shift, and the results agree with the direct numerical simulation. Finally, the compensation and enhancement of the soliton spectral between the Raman-induced self-frequency shift and soliton recoil are predicted. Our results pave the way for further understanding the soliton dynamics and spectral characteristics, and providing an effective route to manipulate frequency comb. 展开更多

Raman spectra of the oligopeptide chains are examined. The geometric structures, frontier orbital, energy gap, atomic charge distribution, density of states and chemical activity of the side chain are studied at the B3LYP/6-31G(d) level. Results show that, with the number of residues increasing, vibrations of typical functional groups present Raman frequency shift, and the energy gap is gradually reduced. The HOMO and LUMO focus on the amino and carboxyl at the ends of oligopeptides. It is helpful for oligopeptides to self-assemble into chains. In addition, different residues(glycine or alanine) at the ends of chains result in the even-odd effect of orbital energy in the growth process. The size effects of physical and chemical properties only exist when the oligopeptides are shorter, and the phenomenon disappeared as the chain continues to grow. 展开更多

The miniaturized femtosecond laser in near infrared-Ⅱregion is the core equipment of threephoton microscopy. In this paper,we design a compact and robust illumination source that emits dual-color linearly polarized light for three-photon microscopy.Based on an all-polarizationmaintaining passive mode-locked fiber laser,we shift the center wavelength of the pulses to the 1.7m band utilizing cascade Raman effect, thereby generate dual-wavelength pulses. To enhance clarity, the two wavelengths are separated through the graded-index multimode fiber. Then we obtain the dual-pulse sequences with 1639.4 nm and 1683.7 nm wavelengths,920 fs pulse duration, and 23.75 MHz pulse repetition rate. The average power of the signal is 53.64mW,corresponding to a single pulse energy of 2.25 nJ.This illumination source can be further amplified and compressed for three-photon fluorescence imaging, especially dual-color three-photon fluorescence imaging, making it an ideal option for biomedical applications. 展开更多

Pr ion implanted silicon has two types of electrical behavior under different condition of rapid thermal annealing(RTA).For Pr3+ implanted epitaxial silicon samples with dose 1×1014cm-2 and energy 350 keV,annealing at 940℃.the sample has electron conductivity, and the implanted ion acts as a donor;and the sample annealing at 1240℃ has hole conductivity, and the implanted ion acts as an acceptor. For high dose(2×1015 cm-2) Eu3+ implanted epitaxial silicon sample undergoing high temperature RTA treatment, enhanced Raman effect was observed. In this paper.reasonable explanations for these two phenomena have been given. 展开更多

Based on the designed As2Se3 and As2S3 chalcogenide glass photonic crystal fiber(PCF) and the scalar nonlinear Schrdinger equation, the effects of pump power and wavelength on modulation instability(MI) gain are comprehensively studied in the abnormal dispersion regime of chalcogenide glass PCF.Owing to high Raman effect and high nonlinearity,ultra-broadband MI gain is obtained in chalcogenide glass PCF.By choosing the appropriate pump parameter, the MI gain bandwidth reaches 2738 nm for the As2Se3 glass PCF in the abnormal-dispersion region, while it is 1961 nm for the As2S3 glass PCF. 展开更多

Starting from the so-called “blue clearing” phenomenon, this paper establishes a link between disturbances of the Martian gravitational potential, the Allais effect of syzygy, astral influences and the Raman Stokes effect. This phenomenon is apparently peculiar to the Martian atmosphere. Photographs of Mars taken in blue light normally show only the atmosphere itself and clouds high above the surface. On occasion of oppositions, however, blue photographs will penetrate in varying degrees to the surface of Mars. Curiously, a burst of brightness and storms then occur on Mars. The atmosphere and clouds can be seen and photographed at short wavelengths by Earth-based telescopes equipped with a Wratten 47 filter. It happens that the blue screen of the filter suddenly begins to disappear and that the Martian surface becomes visible. The exact mechanism that produces blue clearing when Earth is between the Sun and Mars is highly speculative. We believe that the “Allais syzygy effect” may explain this phenomenon. The opposition would generate a “gravito-electromagnetic tension”, which would spawn fluctuations in the gravitational potential of Mars, accompanied and linked to an electromagnetic effect. The outcome would be to trigger dust storms and exacerbate a disorderly excitement of molecules in the atmosphere. The thermal agitation facilitates the absorption of energy and the formation of small condensations that cause light scattering. Assuming that the Martian gravity decreased slightly, a Stokes Raman scattering would manifest at intramolecular level of the Martian atmosphere: the emitted photon has a lower energy than the absorbed photon. Therefore, it is mainly the waves corresponding to the spectral regions yellow, orange or red that are diffused, what eliminates short wavelengths. We deduce that the size of the inhomogeneities resulting from thermal excitation turns out to be greater than the length of the light waves of blue or purple regions of the spectrum. 展开更多

In this work,we experimentally investigate the dependence of the stimulated Raman scattering(SRS)effect on the seed linewidth of a high-power nanosecond superfluorescent fiber source(ns-SFS).The results reveal that the SRS in the ns-SFS amplifier is significantly influenced by the full width at half maximum(FWHM)of the ns-SFS seed, and there is an optimal FWHM linewidth of 2 nm to achieve the lowest SRS in our case. The first-order SRS power ratio increases rapidly when the seed’s linewidth deviates from the optimal FWHM linewidth.By power scaling the ns-SFS seed with the optimal FWHM linewidth,a narrowband all-fiberized ns-SFS amplifier is achieved with a maximum average power of 602 W,pulse energy of 24.1 mJ and corresponding peak power of 422.5 kW.This is the highest average power and pulse energy achieved for all-fiberized ns-SFS amplifiers to the best of our knowledge. 展开更多

Understanding the substrate and temperature effect on thermal transport properties of transition metal dichalcogenides(TMDs)monolayers are crucial for their future applications.Herein,a dual-wavelength flash Raman(DF-Raman)method is used to measure the thermal conductivity of monolayer WS_(2) at a temperature range of 200–400 K.High measurement accuracy can be guaranteed in this method since the influence of both the laser absorption coefficient and temperature-Raman coefficient can be eliminated through normalization. The room-temperature thermal conductivity of suspended and supported WS_(2) are 28.5±2.1(30.3±2.0)and 15.4±1.9(16.9±2.1)W/(m·K),respectively,with a~50%reduction due to substrate effect.Molecular dynamics(MD)simulations reveal that the suppression of acoustic phonons is mainly responsible for the striking reduction. The behaviors of optical phonons are also unambiguously investigated using Raman spectroscopy, and the in-plane optical mode,E(Γ),is surprisingly found to be slightly enhanced while out-of-plane mode,A1g(Γ),is suppressed due to substrate interaction, mutually verified with MD results. Our study provides a solid understanding of the phonon transport behavior of WS_(2) with substrate interaction, which provides guidance for TMDs-based nanodevices. 展开更多
