Atomic nuclei are complex systems with gigantic configuration spaces, therefore truncations of model spaces are indispensable. Due to the short-range nature of the nuclear interactions, one may resort to a truncation by using coherent nucleon-pairs which are conveniently further simplified as bosons, such as sd bosons. The discovery of the spin-zero ground state dominance with random two-body interactions led to a series of studies on regular structure for sd bosons in the presence of random interactions, and this review article summarizes studies along this line in last two decades. We concentrate on various patterns exhibited in sd boson systems, and demonstrate that many random samples which were thought to be noisy exhibit very regular patterns, some of which are interpreted in terms of the V(5), O(6), O(6), SU(3), and SU(3) dynamical symmetries of the sd interacting boson model. 展开更多

In this paper,we consider the statistical inference problems for the fixed effect and variance component functions in the two-way classification random effects model with skewnormal errors.Firstly, the exact test statistic for the fixed effect is constructed.Secondly, using the Bootstrap approach and generalized approach, the one-sided hypothesis testing and interval estimation problems for the single variance component, the sum and ratio of variance components are discussed respectively.Further, the Monte Carlo simulation results indicate that the exact test statistic performs well in the one-sided hypothesis testing problem for the fixed effect. And the Bootstrap approach is better than the generalized approach in the one-sided hypothesis testing problems for variance component functions in most cases. Finally, the above approaches are applied to the real data examples of the consumer price index and value-added index of three industries to verify their rationality and effectiveness. 展开更多

This article lays out a unified theory for dynamics of vehicle-pavement interaction under moving and stochastic loads. It covers three major aspects of the subject: pavement surface, tire-pavement contact forces, and response of continuum media under moving and stochastic vehicular loads. Under the subject of pavement surface, the spectrum of thermal joints is analyzed using Fourier analysis of periodic function. One-dimensional and two-dimensional random field models of pavement surface are discussed given three different assumptions. Under the subject of tire-pavement contact forces, a vehicle is modeled as a linear system. At a constant speed of travel, random field of pavement surface serves as a stationary stochastic process exciting vehicle vibration, which, in turn, generates contact force at the interface of tire and pavement. The contact forces are analyzed in the time domain and the frequency domains using random vibration theory. It is shown that the contact force can be treated as a nonzero mean stationary process with a normal distribution. Power spectral density of the contact force of a vehicle with walking-beam suspension is simulated as an illustration. Under the subject of response of continuum media under moving and stochastic vehicular loads, both time-domain and frequency-domain analyses are presented for analytic treatment of moving load problem. It is shown that stochastic response of linear continuum media subject to a moving stationary load is a nonstationary process. Such a nonstationary stochastic process can be converted to a stationary stochastic process in a follow-up moving coordinate. 展开更多
