[Methods] Effects of in- teraction between density and nitrogen rate on the growth and yield of direct sowing rapeseed under no-tillage condition were investigated with Chuanyou 58 as materials and a split-plot experiment adopted. [Results] In Chengdu Plain, the yields of rape- seed changed from increasing to decreasing with increase of density and nitrogen rate. Both of density and nitrogen rate had significant effects on growth and yield of rapeseed and the latter overweighed in the effect. In addition, interaction of the two had negative effects on rapeseed yield. The yield of rapeseeds achieved the highest at 3 395.25 kg/hm^2 with interaction of density at 30.00×10^4 plant/hm^2 and nitrogen rate at 180.00 kg/hm^2; the theoretical maximal yield was 3 403.41 kg/hm^2 with interaction of density at 40.80×10^4 plants/hm^2 and nitrogen rate at 198.90 kg/hm^2. [Conclusion] In Chengdu Plain, the optimal density and nitrogen rate are 30.00×10^4-45.00×10^4 plant/hm^2 and 180.00-198.90 kg/hm^2, respectively.展开更多

[Method]The yield components and yield per plant of two cross combination of double-low hybrid rapeseed (B02, D04) and Shuza 6 were correlatively analyzed and compared, besides, the path analysis was also carried on to them. [Result] Among B02, D04 and Shuza No.6, effective pod number per plant and seeds per silique, seeds per pod and 1 000-grain weight were all negative correlation. In high yield hybrid, pod number per plant, seeds per pod had more impaction on yield per plant than 1 000-grain weight and the difference was at 0.01 significant level. In the control variety Shuza No.6, the impactions of pod number per plant and seeds per pod on yield per plant were bigger than that of 1 000-grain weight on yield per plant, however, the difference was not significant. [Conclusion] The improvement of effective pod number per plant was an important aim of breeding work of double low rapeseed breeding in Sichuan ecological region.展开更多

The effects of CRNF application on rapeseed yield, agronomic characters and soil fertility were studied in this paper. The results showed that CRNF application improved the growth of rapeseed plant and increased rapeseed yield of CRNF treatments in the purple calcareous clayed paddy soil (PCS) and alluvial loamy paddy soil (ALS) which respectively increased by 12.2% and 9.8% compared with applying urea, re- spectively. The rapeseed yield in 70% CRNF treatment obviously decreased com- pared with urea treatment. The contents of available N and organic carbon in soil increased by 25.0% and 3.2% in CRNF treatment in the ALS after rapeseed crop, respectively; and available N increased by 13.5% in the PCS. Both rapeseed yield and soil fertility in CRNF treatment and 70% CRNF treatment were lower than those in CK treatment in the reddish yellow clayed paddy soil (RYS). The results al- so indicated that the functions of CRNF application on rapeseed yield increase and soil nitrogen fertility improvement were very obvious in the PCS and ALS.展开更多

[Method] Based on Ganyouza No.5, the ratio of N, P2O5 andK2O was set at 1:0.5:0.5; N fertilizers were set involving reduced quantity at 150 kg/hm2 and preferred quantity at 180 kg/hm2; 100%, 80% and 60% of N fertilizers were applied as base fertilizers in the test respectively. In general, field tests were conducted to explore effects of reduced N fertilizer and application of N fertilizer as base fertilizer on rapeseed yield and N absorption. [Resalt] When applied N fertilizer as base fertilizer was the same, plant height, stem diameter, length of major inflorescence, number of effective branch, pod number per plant, seed number per pod, and biomass yield in group with preferred N quantity were significantly higher than those in group with reduced N fertilizer. Rapeseed yield and profits in group with preferred N quantity were signifi- cantly higher than those in group with reduced N fertilizer in field with moderate fertili- ty. In fields with higher fertility, however, the two factors were just a little higher. In group with reduced N fertilizer, use efficiency of N fertilizer, N uptake efficiency, par- tial factor productivity and harvest index of N were all significantly higher than those in group with preferred N fertilizer. Agronomic nitrogen use efficiency in group with preferred N fertilizer was significantly higher than that in group with reduced N fertiliz- er in field with moderate fertility and was significantly lower in field with high yield. With amounts of N, P and K fertilizers fixed, economic characters, yield constitution, yield, profits and N absorption in group, where 60% of N fertilizers were applied as base fertilizer, were significantly higher than those in groups with 80% or 100% of base fertilizer (N fertilizers). These indicated that rational fertilization would maintain rapeseed yield high and reduce N input to improve use efficiency of N fertilizer. On the other hand, it is effective to improve rapeseed yield.'to reduce N fertilizer to 150 kg/hm2, and application of 60%. of N fertilizers as base fertilizer is still proved optimal at present. [Conclusion] The research provides.theoretioal and technical references for improvement of yield of rapeseed and efficiency of N fertilizer.展开更多

Field trials were conducted in Chengdu plain of Sichuan Province under rice-rapeseed rotation system during the period of 2011-2012. The nitrogen application rate trial consisted of five nitrogen levels (0, 90, 180, 270 and 360 kg/hm2) and the nitrogen application time trial included NTl(single application as base fertilized), NT2 (bottom application +one time of topdressing at seedling stage) and NT3 (bottom application+two times of topdressing at seedling stage) under the same nitrogen rate (225 kg/hm2). The results indicated that compared with no nitrogen application (NO) treatment, the in- crease of nitrogen fertilizer is beneficial to the increase of biological traits including plant height, green leaf number, leaf area index and dry weight of rapeseed at the seedling stage, the improvement of physiological indexes including total nitrogen content, chlorophyll content and soluble protein content of functional leaves, and the reduction of soluble sugar content. Nitrogen rate was linearly correlated with various biological traits at the seedling stage and physiological indexes including total nitro- gen content, chlorophyll content and soluble sugar content in functional leaves over- a/I, but in parabolic correlation with soluble protein content. Under the same nitrogen rate, NT2 treatment exhibited biological traits remarkably or significantly higher than NT1 treatment and NT3 treatment. The nitrogen application times were linearly cor- related with the physiological indexes of functional leaves at the seedling stage. The various biological traits and physiological index of functional leaves at the seedlings stage were in quadratic function parabolic correlation with seed yield, and the corre- lation was significant (P〈0.05). Therefore, under the rice-rapeseed rotation system in Chengdu plain, the economic rational nitrogen rate is 180-225 kg/hm2, and the mode of bottom application + one time of topdressing (NT2) is suitable.展开更多

[Method] A field test was carried out, with meteorological information collected from local Meteorological Administration. The data were then through statistical work and regression analysis was made on correlation of meteorological factors with yield and yield components supported by DPS. [Result] The number of pod per plant is closely related to meteorological fac- tors in seedling stage. Specifically, the number is of positive correlation with precipi- tation in seedling stage and of negative correlation with average temperature and sunshine hour. The number of grain per pod is of positive correlation with precipita- tion in seedling stage and negative correlation with temperature in seedling stage and sunshine hour in anthesis. Thousand-seed weight is of positive correlation with sunshine hour in seedling stage and negative correlation with precipitation in seedling stage. [Conclusion] Moisture of soils should be guaranteed by surface cov- erage in order to promote seedling growth, maintain ventilation in fields and reduce effects of rainfall on rapeseed flowering.展开更多

In this study, potential yield(Y_p), attainable yield(Y_(att)), and actual yield(Y_(act)) for winter rapeseed were determined in five different zones of China. A boundary line approach was adopted to calculate Y_p, based on a large-scale field experimental database. A meta-analysis was conducted on the data obtained from 118 published studies to evaluate the effects of agronomic factors on rapeseed yield. The main results indicated that farmers only achieved 37–56% of the yield potential across the zones. The low altitude areas(L-URY) and lower reaches(LRY) of the Yangtze River Basin(YRB), China had high yield levels. The total yield gap was 1 893 kg ha^(–1), due to the agronomic management factors, environmental factors, and socioeconomic factors. The meta-analysis showed that weed control and drainage were the best management practices to improve yields(45.6 and 35.3%, respectively), and other practices improved yields by 17.1–21.6%. Consequently, to narrow the yield gap over the short term, the study could focus on techniques that are easily implemented to farmers.展开更多

In this study, an 8 × 8 complete diallel experiment using four B. napus cultivars (BN) and four resynthesized rapeseed lines (RS) as parents was designed to study heterosis and genetic inheritance for yield components. The results showed that heterosis for yield per plant, the number of pods per plant and number of seeds per pod were high, with means 32.77, 24.49 and 15.71%, respectively. Diallel analysis showed that both additive and dominant effects were significant for yield and yield components. All traits, except for 1 000-seed weight, were significant for bl mean squares and exhibited directional dominance. Dominant genes had positive effects on yield per plant, pods per plant and 1000-seed weight, and negative effects on seeds per pod (r=-0.86, -0.62, -0.41, and 0.47, respectively). Narrow-sense heritability for yield per plant, pods per plant, and 1 000-seed weight and seeds per pod were 66, 31, 46 and 78% for the four traits, respectively. The Fl hybrids showed considerable yields compared to B. napus cultivars when B. napus cultivars and resynthesized rapeseeds were used as parents (NR hybrids), with many more pods per plant and lower seeds per pod compared with the rapeseed cultivars, indicating that the resynthesized rapeseed may be applicable in current hybrid breeding programs.展开更多

[Method] Two hybrid cultivars, ZY5628 and ZY7819, and the conventional cultivar ZS10, were compared through two field experiments. In Experiment 1, seed yield and optimum N application rate were assessed in the field with five N application treatments. In Expedment 2, N was applied uniformly at 180 kg/hm2, and plant biomass and N accumulation were measured at several developmental stages, while N use efficien- cy was calculated for rape at maturity. [Results] The experiment 1 results showed that seed yields of ZY5628 and ZY7819 were both significantly higher than that of ZS10, and compared to ZS10, optimum yield (plateau yield) was higher by 18.7% and 20.2%, while the recommended N application rate was lower by 9.5% and 9.6% for ZY5628 and ZY7819, respectively. The experiment 2 results showed that during vegetative development, all three cultivars exhibited similar accumulations of plant biomass and N, but through flowering and maturity ZY5628 and ZY7819 pro- duced more biomass, acquired more N, and utilized acquired N more efficiently to- wards seed production than ZS10. [Conclusion] With equivalent inputs, the hybrid rapeseed cultivars ZY5628 and ZY7819 tested herein yield more seed with higher N use efficiency than the conventional rapeseed ZS10. This information will be valu- able for growers seeking to improve efficiency while reducing costs of rape production in China.展开更多

A total of 132 field experiments were conducted in fields of farmers in the major winter rapeseed growing areas in YRV in 2000/2001 and 2004/2005 to 2006/2007 during growing season. Results of these field experiments showed that the average rapeseed yield increment resulting from 100 kg K ha-1 application was 358 kg ha-1, an increase over the control CK (no K) of 18.0% in 2005/2006 and 2006/2007. The average internal use efficiency (IE) of K was higher in the CK treatment (21.9 kg grain, kg-1 K uptake) than in the +K (100 kg K ha-1) treatment (17.7 kg grain, kg-1 K uptake). Winter rapeseed required 68.1 kg of K to produce 1 000 kg seed. The recovery efficiency of K fertilizer in rapeseed production averaged 39.3%. The K balance was negative, with an average net removal of 117.6 kg K ha-1 in the CK treatment annually, and 56.8 kg K ha-1 in the +K treatment. The results indicated that there was a significant negative relationship between yield increments by K application and soil available K content. Based on the relative yield of CK/+K at 90% level, the critical level of soil available K (NH4OAc-extractable K) was 135 mg kg-1.展开更多

However, excessive inputs will lead to inefficient usage and cause excessive nutrient losses in the field environment, and also adversely affect the soil, water and air quality, human health, and biodiversity. Methods: Field experiments were conducted to study the effects of controlled-release fertilizer(CRF) on seed yield, plant growth, nutrient uptake, and fertilizer usage efficiency for early ripening rapeseed(Xiangzayou 1613) in the red-yellow soil of southern China during 2011–2013. It was grown using a soluble fertilizer(SF) and the same amounts of CRF, such as SF1/CRF1(3750 kg/hm^2), SF2/CRF2(3000 kg/hm^2), SF3/CRF3(2250 kg/hm^2), SF4/CRF4(1500 kg/hm^2), SF5/CRF5(750 kg/hm^2), and also using no fertilizer(CK). Results: CRF gave higher seed yields than SF in both seasons by 14.51%. CRF4 and SF3 in each group achieved maximum seed yield(2066.97 and 1844.50 kg/hm^2, respectively), followed by CRF3(1929.97 kg/hm^2) and SF4(1839.40 kg/hm^2). There were no significant differences in seed yield among CK, SF1, and CRF1(P0.05). CRF4 had the highest profit(7126.4 CNY/hm2) and showed an increase of 12.37% in seed yield, and it decreased by 11.01% in unit fertilizer rate compared with SF4. The branch number, pod number, and dry matter weight compared with SF increased significantly under the fertilization of CRF(P0.05). The pod number per plant was the major contributor to seed yield. On the other hand, the N, P, and K uptakes increased at first and then decreased with increasing the fertilizer rate at maturity, and the N, P, and K usage efficiency decreased with increasing the fertilizer rate. The N, P, and K uptakes and usage efficiencies of the CRF were significantly higher than those of SF(P0.05). The N accumulation and N usage efficiency of CRF increased by an average of 13.66% and 9.74 percentage points, respectively, compared to SF. In conclusion, CRF significantly promoted the growth of rapeseed with using total N as the base fertilizer, by providing sufficient N in the later growth stages, and last by reducing the residual N in the soil and increasing the N accumulation and N usage efficiency.展开更多

文摘In order to study the effects of controlled release nitrogen fertilizer (CRNF) application on rapeseed, a simulated experiment was carried out with 3 types of paddy soils in Dongting Lake area for 4 consecutive years of applying CRNF under double rice cropping system after planting rapeseed crop in the fallow season. The results al- so indicated that the functions of CRNF application on rapeseed yield increase and soil nitrogen fertility improvement were very obvious in the PCS and ALS.

文摘[Objective] The aim was to research effects of N fertilizer reduction and application of N fertilizer (as base fertilizer) on rapeseed yield and N absorption. [Conclusion] The research provides.theoretioal and technical references for improvement of yield of rapeseed and efficiency of N fertilizer.
文摘Field experiments were carried out to study the effects of different nitroge- napplication rates and application times on biological traits and physiological indexes of directly-sown rapeseed (Brassica napus L.) at the seedling stage and investigate the relationship between these biological traits or physiological indexes at the seedling stage and yield, so as to provide scientific theoretical support for high yield and efficient fertilization management in production of winter rapeseed. Therefore, under the rice-rapeseed rotation system in Chengdu plain, the economic rational nitrogen rate is 180-225 kg/hm2, and the mode of bottom application + one time of topdressing (NT2) is suitable.

文摘[Objective] The aim was to research relationship of meteorological factors with rapeseed yield and yield components. [Conclusion] Moisture of soils should be guaranteed by surface cov- erage in order to promote seedling growth, maintain ventilation in fields and reduce effects of rainfall on rapeseed flowering.

文摘A yield gap analysis for rapeseed(Brassica napus L.) is critical to meeting the oil demand by identifying yield potential and yield constraints. Consequently, to narrow the yield gap over the short term, the study could focus on techniques that are easily implemented to farmers.

文摘Resynthesized rapeseeds obtained by crossing the diploid parents Brassica rapa and Brassica oleracea have significant potential in hybrid breeding because of their higher genetic basis compared with Brassica napus cultivars. The Fl hybrids showed considerable yields compared to B. napus cultivars when B. napus cultivars and resynthesized rapeseeds were used as parents (NR hybrids), with many more pods per plant and lower seeds per pod compared with the rapeseed cultivars, indicating that the resynthesized rapeseed may be applicable in current hybrid breeding programs.

文摘[Objective] The aim of this study was to understand the difference of N fertilizer requirement between hybrid rapeseed and conventional rapeseed. This information will be valu- able for growers seeking to improve efficiency while reducing costs of rape production in China.

文摘The investigation was carried out to study the response of winter rapeseed to potassium (K) feritlization and the critical soil available K level for current winter rapeseed production in the Yangtze River Valley (YRV) of China. Based on the relative yield of CK/+K at 90% level, the critical level of soil available K (NH4OAc-extractable K) was 135 mg kg-1.

文摘Background: Nitrogen(N), phosphorous(P), and potassium(K) are critical nutrient elements necessary for crop plant growth and development. In conclusion, CRF significantly promoted the growth of rapeseed with using total N as the base fertilizer, by providing sufficient N in the later growth stages, and last by reducing the residual N in the soil and increasing the N accumulation and N usage efficiency.

文摘The quality of seedbed after sowing such as soil surface roughness is one of the key factors affecting the seedling emergence of rapeseed, which ultimately affected crop yield. However, the effect of soil surface roughness on seedling emergence and yield of rapeseed is still unclear. In this study, field experiments at the experimental site of Jianli and Shayang were carried out.Three treatments were designed:relative slow(M1),medium(M2),and fast(M3)forward speed of the unit.Soil surface roughness measured by a 3D laser scanner, seed quantity of the seeder, emergence rate and yield of rapeseed were determined to investigate the soil surface roughness effect on emergence rate and yield of rapeseed. The results showed that as the forward speed of the unit increased, the compartment surface became rougher.Compared with the M1 and M2 treatments, soil surface roughness under the M3 treatment increased by 36.5%and 9.8%,respectively.The actual seed quantity of the seeder under different treatments ranged from 3806.56 to 4158.18 g/hm2.The average error rate of the actual and theoretical seed quantity was less than 5%,which met the operational quality requirements for seeding rapeseed crops. As the forward speed of the unit increased, the actual seed quantity of the seeder gradually increased while the emergence rate and yield of rapeseed decreased. The seed quantity under the M3 treatment increased by 6.9%and 4.7%,while the emergence rate of rapeseed decreased by 3.3%and 2.0%,and the yield decreased by 23.2%and 13.1%,compared with the M1 and M2 treatments, respectively.Correlation analysis indicated that emergence rate and yield of rapeseed were negatively influenced by soil surface roughness.Considering rapeseed emergence rate, seed yield, and economic benefits, the M1 treatment was recommended. But considering the factor that the M1 treatment may reduce the unit operation efficiency, and thus resulting in lower cost of production,M2 could be recommended in actual farming. The results of this study laid a theoretical foundation for analyzing the relationship between the seedbed surface quality and seedling emergence and yield.

文摘While Egypt’s canola production per unit area has recently grown, productivity remains low, necessitating increased productivity.Hydrogels are water-absorbent polymer compounds that can optimize irrigation schedules by increasing the soil’s ability to retain water.Accordingly, twofield experiments were conducted to examine hydrogel application to sandy soil on canola growth, biochemical aspects, yield, yield traits, and nutritional quality of yielded seeds grown under water deficit stress conditions. The experiments were conducted by arranging a split-plot layout in a randomized complete block design(RCBD)with three times replications of each treatment. While water stress at 75%or 50%of crop evapotranspiration(ETc)lowered chlorophyll a,chlorophyll b,caro-tenoids,and total pigments content,indole-3-acetic acid, plant development, seed yield, and oil and total carbo-hydrates of seed yield, hydrogel treatment enhanced all of the traits mentioned above.Furthermore, hydrogel enhanced to gather compatible solutes(proline, amino acids, total soluble sugars),phenolics content in leaves, seed protein, and crop water productivity, which increased while the plants were under water stress. The results revealed that the full irrigation(100%ETc)along with hydrogel compared to water-stressed(50%ETc)led to enhanced seed yield(kg ha^(-1)),Oil(%),and Total carbohydrates(%)of rapeseed by 57.1%,11.1%and 15.7%,respectively.Likewise,under water-stressed plots with hydrogel exhibited enhancement by 10.0%,3.2%and 5.1%in seed yield(kg ha^(-1)),oil(%),and total carbohydrates(%)of rapeseed by 57.1%,11.1%and 15.7%,respec-tively compared to control. As a result, the use of hydrogel polymer will be a viable and practical solution for increasing agricultural output under water deficit stress situations.
