Diagnostic Analysis on a Regional Rainstorm Weather in North-central Henan Province 被引量:1

[Objective] The research aimed to analyze a regional rainstorm weather process in north-central Henan Province. [Method] Based on the conventional meteorological observation data and the rainfall data of Henan Meteorological Station, the diagnostic analysis of atmospheric thermodynamics and dynamics on a rainstorm weather process in north-central Henan Province on July 19, 2010 was carried out. The characteristics of physical quantity field and the evolution of weather situation in north-central Henan Province when the rainstorm happened were studied. [Result] Western Pacific subtropical high strengthened to extend westward. The dynamic uplifting of low vortex at the middle and low layers, the strong water vapor transportation of southwest low-level jet caused the regional rainstorm weather process in north-central Henan Province. The diagnostic results of physical quantity showed that the deep, thick wet layer and the sustained water vapor convergence provided the abundant water vapor for rainstorm generation. The positive vorticity advection center developed and spread from northwest to southeast, which was favorable for the development of vertical movement. The structure maintenance of positive vorticity at the middle and low layers, negative vorticity at the middle and high levels provided the power condition for the regional rainstorm generation. The pumping effect of convergence at the middle and low layers, divergence at the high layer was favorable for the strengthening of vertical ascending motion at the low layer. The uplifting effect of dew point front at the middle and low layers triggered the release of unstable energy. The confrontation of warm and cold air was one of the important reasons for the regional rainstorm. TBB characteristic analysis showed that TBB was from -60 to -50 ℃ in north-central Henan Province in the whole strong precipitation time, and the moving speed was equivalent to that of southwest vortex. The low-value belt of TBB corresponded with the rainstorm occurrence zone in Henan, and the minimum-value center of TBB was basically consistent with the strongest center of precipitation. [Conclusion] The research provided the scientific basis for the short-term forecast of rainstorm. 展开更多

Based on conventional high-altitude aerial and ground data, regional intensive rainfall data, Doppler weather radar and satellite cloud data, the occurrence and development process of a regional rainstorm in South Shaanxi during July 17 -18, 2010 was discussed deeply. The results showed that the occurrence and development of the mesoscale weather system resulted in the heavy storm directly besides favorable large-scale background, and the the occurrence and development of the system had strong local and sudden characters. In addition, heavily concentrated wa- ter vapor in the troposphere at low and middle altitudes as well as existence of unstable conditions of convection might be favorable to the develop- ment of the system, while dynamic action of terrain, ground weak cold front and disturbance of the low-level jet stream might trigger the occurrence and development of the system. 展开更多

[Objective] The research aimed to analyze formation reason of the ' 7.28' regional rainstorm in Zhongwei City.[Method] NCEP /NCAR reanalysis data and Micaps routine data were used to analyze formation reason of the regional rainstorm in Zhongwei City on July 28,2011.[Result]Under the east-high-west-low circulation situation,factors which caused this rainstorm included westerly jet at 200 hPa,cold trough at 500 hPa,low vortex and shear line at 700 hPa,quick alternation of the warm and cold airs at 850 hPa,stable northward movement of the subtropical high.Falling zone of the rainstorm was located at the right of the upper jet,the left of the low-level jet and the south of 700 hPa shear line.Analyses on the each physical quantity field showed that water vapor condition,vertical motion,energy,vorticity,divergence and wind field distribution over the rainstorm area were all beneficial for rainstorm generation.When the rainstorm occurred,radar echo mainly presented as mixed-cloud precipitation type.The echo intensity was from 30 to 45 dBz,and top height of the echo was from 7 to 8 km.[Conclusion]The research provided some experiences and theoretical guidance for future rainstorm forecast in Zhongwei City. 展开更多

Based on conventional meteorological data and NCEP 1°×1° DEG reanalysis data, reasons for a regional rainstorm in Fuzhou, Jiangxi Province on May 27, 2013 was analyzed from the aspects of weather situation, influencing systems, water vapor, dynamic and thermal instability. The results showed that the regional rainstorm happened in the warm area while the Jianghuai cyclone moved eastwards, and it was a short-dura- tion strong convective rainstorm. Jianghuai cyclone, 500 hPa trough, low vortex and southwesterly jet were the main influencing systems of the rain- storm. The precipitation was mainly the result of release of convective unstable energy in the lower troposphere. MPVl was negative in the lower troposphere and positive in the middle and upper troposphere. Moist potential vorticity in the upper troposphere moved downwards, which was ad- vantageous to the release of the unstable energy and then increased precipitation. The negative moist potential vorticity center in the lower tropo- sphere can reflect the position and intensity of the rainstorm, and the intensity and duration of precipitation were consistent with the increase of the negative MPVl. The distribution of MPV2 showed that as atmospheric baroclinicity increased, heavy rain always occurred in the lower troposphere where baroclinicity was strong. The areas with negative baroclincity in the lower troposphere matched with rainstorm center very well. 展开更多

[Objective] The aim was to discuss dynamic conditions for one rare regional rainstorm. [Method] By using conventional material, ground encryption automatic station materials, wind profiling radar data and Doppler radar data, strong precipitation and regional large rainstorm in Lingxi area on August 3, 2010, were expounded principal of heavy weather analysis. [Result] The precipitation process was the result of different scales and different height systems influenced by the southwest airflow in the edge of subtropical high, weak cold air penetrating southward before westerly trough and the easterly in the higher layer (10 km above); the instability of atmosphere structure was the premise of strong precipitation. Ground convergent, east storm with senior northwestern current interaction triggered the release of unstable energy; the southwest airstream in the edge of subtropical high provided water vapor supply. The duration of the precipitation was short and the intensity was large. Precipitation moved to certain direction, having typical mesoscale strong convection system. Strong precipitation fell in the same place as the convergence area of wind field. The place having next strong precipitation can be predicted based on the wind field convergence position along with the movement of time. Outline radar data and Doppler radar data contour line products can more accurately represent atmospheric vertical wind field structure. Analysis of Regional Rainstorm from August 5 to 6 in 2011

[ Objective] The aim was to analyze the regional rainstorm in Hunan from August 5 to 6 in 2011. [ Method] Based on regional automatic station data, air-exploration data, upper air data and radar data in Hunan Province, the formation mechanism of rainstorm in Hunan was analyzed. The changes of reflection rate, horizontal speed and relevant physical quantity factors in Dongting Lake were explored, and the reports of height field and wind pattern in Europe center were testified. [ Result] Dudng this process, the regional rainstorm occurred when the typhoon influenced east coast. The coastal circulation background was a two-ridge-one-trough situation. The leading influential system was the lower trough in the up- per air, shear line in the middle and lower layer and ground weak cold air. There was bypass at 200 hPa. CAPE value enlarged and SI index de- creased. Enough vapors can make up the transportation of water vapor in the middle and lower layer. Two echo clouds entered strong convection wind storm, and dry air entered into the storm, which resulted in slowly movement of strong wind storm. There was back wind area and strong con- vergence area in the lower layer. Heedwind and strong convergence areas were in the lower layer of speed product. By comparing the report of 500 hPa height with the reality, it was found that the height value of the typhoon was higher than the reality, the high pressure center was smaller than the reality, 48 h forecast showed more mistakes than the 24 h report. The UV report at 500 and 800 hPa was larger than that at 24 h. The error in report typhoon was large, especially around the shear line or trough line. [ Conclusion] The study provided reference for the forecast of rainstorm. 展开更多

[Objective] The research aimed to analyze a regional heavy rainstorm process in North Henan.[Method] Based on routine weather chart,rainfall station in county and town,satellite cloud chart,etc.,by using synoptic diagnostic method,formation reason of the regional heavy rainstorm weather in North Henan during 18-19 August,2010 was analyzed initially from large-scale circulation background,influence system,physical quantity field and terrain influence.[Result] The strong precipitation had obvious meso-scale characteristics.The main influence systems were ground meso-scale convergence line,shear line at the middle and low layers,low-level southwest jet.The low-level southwest jet transported sufficient water vapor for generation of the heavy rainstorm.The ground converge line increased convergence ascending movement and water vapor convergence.Atmospheric divergence convergence center at the low layer was just in North Henan.Strong rise zone of the vertical velocity was also in North Henan.It provided sufficient dynamic condition for rainstorm generation.Generation,development and movement of the ground meso-scale convergence line had good indications for occurrence times and falling zones of the rainstorm and short-time strong precipitation.The big-value zones of K index and θse at the low layer both presented Ω distribution at the vertical direction,which had indicative significance for strong precipitation forecast.The strong precipitation center corresponded with fork horn terrain,and orographic rain characteristics were obvious.[Conclusion] The research provided reference basis for forecast of this kind of rainstorm. 展开更多

[Objective] The twice regional rainstorms in northwest Yantai in July in 2009 and July in 2010 were expounded.[Method] The twice regional rainstorm in northwest Yantai in July in 2009 and July in 2010 were selected for comparison analysis by dint of conventional and non-conventional weather data,from the aspects of circulation background,physics quantity,and radar echo,etc.[Result] The twice large rainstorm process were regional convective strong precipitation.The rainstorm fell in the northwest of Yantai and had a strong precipitation center above 200 mm.The twice large rainstorm was affected by subtropical and shear line.The rainstorm area was related to the location of 588 dagpm line,westerly trough,and shear line.It was regional rainstorm of typical subtropical edge warm and wet airstream,combination of low vortex and shear line of westerly.The precipitation occurred around the center of water vapor flux;K index had pretty good indication effects to the generation of rainstorm.Large rainstorm occurred around the place with high K index.The K index of twice large rainstorm was larger than or equal to 34 ℃,and was close to the rainstorm falling area where K index was larger than or equal to 35 ℃.The reflection factor of twice large rainstorms at 0.5° elevation,the largest echo intensity was from 55 to 60 dBz,in strip echo from south to north,through the west peninsula,forming train effect.The data report product also had important reference basis for the report of regional large rainstorm.[Conclusion] The study provided references and basis for the report of large rainstorm in the future. 展开更多
