This paper explores the effect of precise rehabilitation strategies under the international classification of functioning,disability and health for children and youth(ICF-CY)on the motor function of children with cerebral palsy.Under the framework of ICF-CY,the observation team is designed and evaluated from physical functions,activities and participation,environmental factors,and devel-ops individualized rehabilitation strategies that are tailored to individual character-istics.The control group was assessed by traditional methods and treatment plans and measures were formulated and guided.The course of treatment was 12 months.The scores of GMFM-88,Peabody Motor Development Scale-2con-cluding fine motor quotient(PDMS-FM),WeeFIM and the ability of daily living(ADL)scale(Barthel index,BI)score were compared before and after treatment.The research shows that precise rehabilitation strategy mode for children with cer-ebral palsy under the ICF-CY framework can effectively improve the motor func-tion and the ability of daily living(ADL)in children with cerebral palsy.Rehabilitation evaluation and treatment mode of children with cerebral palsy under ICF-CY framework can effectively improve the gross motor function of children with cerebral palsy.Individualized evaluation and analysis and guidance of comprehensive rehabilitation treatment have certain advantages.The overall treatment effect is better than that of traditional rehabilitation evaluation. 展开更多

BACKGROUND Myositis ossificans(MO)is a rare disease involving the formation of bone outside the musculoskeletal system.While surgical intervention is the main treatment approach,preventing recurrence and standardized rehabilitation are also crucial.Here,we present a surgical strategy to prevent the recurrence of MO.CASE SUMMARY A 28-year-old female patient was admitted for the first time for a comminuted fracture of the left olecranon.However,incorrect postoperative rehabilitation resulted in the development of elbow joint stiffness with ectopic ossification,causing a loss of normal range of motion.The patient was diagnosed with MO based on physical examination,X-ray findings,and clinical presentation.We devised a surgical strategy to remove MO,followed by fixation with an Ilizarov frame,and implemented a scientifically reasonable rehabilitation plan.The surgery lasted for 3 h with an estimated blood loss of 45 mL.A drainage tube was placed after surgery,and fluid was aspirated through ultrasound-guided puncture.The patient experienced a significant reduction in joint stiffness after surgery.In the final follow-up at 9 mouths,there was evident improvement in the range of motion of the elbow joint,and no other symptoms were reported.CONCLUSION The Ilizarov frame is an advantageous surgical technique for facilitating rehabilitation after MO removal.It offers benefits such as passive recovery,individualized treatment,and prompt recovery. 展开更多

South China has become the third largest region associated with acid deposition following Europe and North America, the area subject to damage by acid deposition increased from 1.75 million km 2 in 1985 to 2.8 millio... South China has become the third largest region associated with acid deposition following Europe and North America, the area subject to damage by acid deposition increased from 1.75 million km 2 in 1985 to 2.8 million km 2 in 1993. Acid deposition has caused serious damage to ecosystem. Combined pollution of acid rain and SO 2 showed the obvious multiple effects on crops. Vegetable was more sensitive to acid deposition than foodstuff crops. Annual economic loss of crops due to acid deposition damage in eleven provinces of south China was 4.26 billion RMB Yuan. Acid deposition caused serious damage to forest. Annual economic loss of wood volume was about 1.8 billion RMB Yuan and forest ecological benefit loss 16.2 billion in eleven provinces of south China. Acid deposition in south China was typical “sulfuric acid type”. According to the thoughts of sustainable development, some strategies were brought forward as follows: (1) enhancing environmental management, specifying acid\|controlling region, controlling and abating the total emission amount of SO 2; (2) selecting practical energy technologies of clean coal, for example, cleansing and selecting coal, sulfur\|fixed\|type industrial briqutting, abating sulfur from waste gas and so on; (3) developing other energy sources to replace coal, including water electricity, atomic energy and the new energy such as solar energy, wind energy and so on; (4) in acid deposition region of south China, selecting acid\|resistant type of crop and tree to decrease agricultural losses, planting more green fertilizer crops, using organic fertilizers and liming, in order to improve buffer capacities of soil. 展开更多

Regenerative rehabilitation is a novel and rapidly developing multidisciplinaryfield that converges regenerative medicine and rehabilitation science,aiming to maximize the functions of disabled patients and their independence.While regenerative medicine provides state-of-the-art technologies that shed light on difficult-to-treated diseases,regenerative rehabilitation offers rehabilitation interventions to improve the positive effects of regenerative medicine.However,regenerative scientists and rehabilitation professionals focus on their aspects without enough exposure to advances in each other’sfield.This disconnect has impeded the development of thisfield.Therefore,this reviewfirst introduces cutting-edge tech-nologies such as stem cell technology,tissue engineering,biomaterial science,gene editing,and computer sciences that promote the progress pace of regenerative medicine,followed by a summary of preclinical studies and examples of clinical investigations that integrate rehabilitative methodologies into regenerative medicine.Then,challenges in thisfield are discussed,and possible solutions are provided for future directions.We aim to provide a platform for regenerative and rehabilitative professionals and clinicians in other areas to better understand the progress of regenerative rehabilitation,thus contributing to the clinical translation and management of innovative and reliable therapies. 展开更多

Evolution of Damage on Historical Heritage Buildings in Presence of Catastrophic Events and Aggressive Natural Phenomena

The feasibility analysis of projects for the preservation of the historical heritage buildings is an important problem concerning the evaluation of "the total cost of intervention", which includes all the future damage costs. The total cost of intervention represents a suitable measure of the expected deterioration risk and its evolution obviously depends on the damage process which buildings are subjected to. That damage phenomena affecting masonry buildings pleased into an aggressive environment are suitably modelled by renewal processes: this happens both in the case of catastrophic events, or in the case of the so-called "natural aging", in which damage comes off gradually in time. In the hypothesis ofa Markovian renewal process (Mrp) describing the damage process, the total cost of all the future damage is evaluated taking into account both the damage aspects: damages due to catastrophic aspects and damages due to aggressive environment, supposing different maintenance and/or rehabilitation scenarios. A semi-Markov process (s-Mp) is defined to model the damage rehabilitation history of buildings in presence of seismic events, natural ageing and rehabilitation strategies.
