The results showed that IgE, IgG or IgGl had no significant effect on tumor incidence; the high IgE level could extend the survival time of 3-Methylcholanthrene injected mice (P<0.05) and survival time of tumor bearing mice (P<0.01), while IgG or IgGl could not. The data from this study did not show that IgE, IgG or IgGl had any significant effect on the tumor size and the tumor growth rate. The probable mechanism involved was discussed.展开更多

The volunteers, aged 50-59, were healthy males and came from different incidence areas ...A prospective study on the relationship between garlic and gastric cancer of 4552 subjects was made from Oct., 1980 through 1985. The volunteers, aged 50-59, were healthy males and came from different incidence areas of gastric cancer where they lived for long periods. The result of this study showed that the death rates of gastric cancer in < 2500 g and >500 g groups of annual garlic intake were 10.40/ 10000 and 0, respectively. The relative risk of gastric cancer was significantly much higher in the former than in the latter, and showed a dose-response relationship. Protective effect of garlic for the population equal annual garlic intake was roughly the same in different districts. It was further confirmed that garlic played important role in preventing gastric cancer and had no regional differences.展开更多

The past gravimetric dust concentration values, obtained from different worksites, were converted into fiber concentrat...The dose-response relationship for asbestos exposure in a chrysotile product factory was studied. The past gravimetric dust concentration values, obtained from different worksites, were converted into fiber concentration values according to conversion factors that were worked out by simultaneous sampling in this study. The conversions were made so that exposure could be expressed in fiber-years (f-yr). Asbestosis was diagnosed on the basis of chest radiographs and occupational histories. Cumulative dust exposure (f-yr) was calculated up to the date of diagnosis for asbestosis patients, and up to September 1982 for the remaining workers. A dose-response relationship expressed as fiber-years exposed vs cumulative prevalence of asbestosis was established by the life table method on the basis of these data. Predicted 3 and 1% prevalence of asbestosis corresponded to 43 and 22 f-yr exposure, respectively. Considering that a worker can work for 35 years, these doses are commensurate with dust concentrations of 1.22 and 0.63 f/ml, respectively. It is recommended that 1 f/ml be taken as the maximum allowable concentration of airborne asbestos dust for the workplace with an anticipated prevalence of about 2% asbestosis after 35 years of exposure. 1990 Academic Press, Inc.展开更多
BACKGROUND This study examines the complex relationships among the neuroendocrine axis,gut microbiome,inflammatory responses,and gastrointestinal symptoms in patients with irritable bowel syndrome(IBS).The findings pr...BACKGROUND This study examines the complex relationships among the neuroendocrine axis,gut microbiome,inflammatory responses,and gastrointestinal symptoms in patients with irritable bowel syndrome(IBS).The findings provide new insights into the pathophysiology of IBS and suggest potential therapeutic targets for improving patient outcomes.AIM To investigate the interactions between the neuroendocrine axis,gut microbiome,inflammation,and gastrointestinal symptoms in patients with IBS.METHODS Patients diagnosed with IBS between January 2022 and January 2023 were selected for the study.Healthy individuals undergoing routine check-ups during the same period served as the control group.Data were collected on neuroendocrine hormone levels,gut microbiome profiles,inflammatory biomarkers,and gastrointestinal symptomatology to analyze their interrelations and their potential roles in IBS pathogenesis.RESULTS IBS patients exhibited significant dysregulation of the neuroendocrine axis,with altered levels of cortisol,serotonin,and neuropeptides compared to healthy controls.The gut microbiome of IBS patients showed reduced diversity and specific alterations in bacterial genera,including Bifidobacterium,Lactobacillus,and Faecalibacterium,which were associated with neuroendocrine disturbances.Additionally,elevated levels of inflammatory markers,such as C-reactive protein,interleukin-6,and tumor necrosis factor-α,were observed and correlated with the severity of gastrointestinal symptoms like abdominal pain,bloating,and altered bowel habits.CONCLUSION The findings suggest that targeting the neuroendocrine axis,gut microbiome,and inflammatory pathways may offer novel therapeutic strategies to alleviate symptoms and improve the quality of life in IBS patients.展开更多

Methods: Twentynine cases were treated with replenishing Kidney drugs combined with acupuncture for 1~3months. Patients' ER and PR were measuredby immunohistochemical method. And pa- tients were classified according to PR contentinto PR positive group and mild PR positivegroup. Results: Fifteen cases of PR positivegroup, completed treatment for 45 cycles, among them, 40 cycles showed ovulation, theovulation rate being 88. 89 %. Ten in 14 cases, who complicated with infertility, becamepregnant, the pregnant rate being 71. 43%.While in 11 cases of Ph mild positive group, 9complicated with in fertility, completed treatment for 33 cycle, 10 cycles showed ovulation(30. 30 % ), and pregnant rate 22. 22 % (2/9). The difference between the two groupswas significant (P < 0. 01 ). Conclusion: Thereplenishing Kidney drugs combined withacupuncture treatment could result a good effect in treating infertility due to anovulation,especially on those with high endometrial PRcontent.展开更多

The banding and electronic structures of a series of long-chain macromolecules of cellu- lose,2-,3-,6-mononitrocellulose,2,3-,2,6-,3,6-dinitrocellulose and trinitrocellulose as well as their structural units(i.e.singl...The banding and electronic structures of a series of long-chain macromolecules of cellu- lose,2-,3-,6-mononitrocellulose,2,3-,2,6-,3,6-dinitrocellulose and trinitrocellulose as well as their structural units(i.e.single-,double-or three-ring systems)have been calculated by both the EH and CNDO/2 methods.The increase of molecular total energies is consistent with the decrease of their stabilities at the three conformations of gg,gt and tg.The Mulliken bond order of O—NO_2 bond is the samllest in each molecule at any of the three conformations,which indicates that this bond is the weakest,and supports the view of initial homolytic cleavage of O—NO_2 bond on slow thermal decomposition.The band gap at the edge of the first Brillouin zone far surpasses 5 eV for cellu- lose,and is less than 3 eV for mono-,di-,and trinitrocellulose.The results show that cellulose is a typical insulator,as we know,and it can be predicted that nitrocellulose has electric conductivity similar to that of semiconductor.展开更多
