A simple, precise and accurate method was developed and validated for the determination of allicin release from alliin/alliinase double-layer tablets. According to Appendix XC Ⅱ of Chinese Pharmacopoeia 2010 edition Volume II, a small glass-method was adopted at the rotational speed of 100 r/min using 100 mL phosphate buffer (pH 6.8) as release medium. The release amount was determined by HPLC with a C18 column (250 mm × 4.6 mm, 5 μm) using the mobile phase consisting of methanol -0.4% carboxylic acid (65:35) at a flow rate of 1 mL/min and UV detection at 242 nm. The current method demonstrates good linearity over the range 4.052- 405.2 μg/mL (r2=0.9999) with an average recovery of 105.5%(RSD= 1.25%). The accumulative release of alliin/alliinase double-layer tablets had good homogeneity for withinand betweenbatches. The method established is simple, accurate and repeatable for the determination of allicin release from alliin/alliinase double-layer tablets. 展开更多

In this paper,we use FNL grid data obtained from the National Centers for Environmental Prediction(NCEP)to analyze an explosive cyclone(EC)that occurred over the northwestern Pacific Ocean from January 11 to 13,2012.To simulate the EC,we used the Weather Research and Forecasting model(WRFV3.5).The cyclone outbreak occurred east of Japan from January 11 to 12 and weakened near the Kamchatka Peninsula on January 13.The analysis results show a distinct frontal structure,in which the high potential vorticity(PV)of the upper troposphere extends downward to the surface, which can facilitate EC development.A low-level jet stream develops with the EC,which can lead to more distinct convergence. The results of sea surface temperature(SST)sensitivity tests suggest that changes in the SST can affect cyclone intensity, but have little effect on its path. When small changes are made to the SST,the air pressure at the cyclonic center responds more distinctly to an increased SST than a decreased SST.The results of our latent heat release test suggest that diabatic heating processes lead to maximum PV values in the lower troposphere.Latent heat is also one of the important factors influencing EC development. 展开更多

A near infrared spectroscopy(NIRS) approach was established for quality control of the alcohol precipitation liquid in the manufacture of Codonopsis Radix. By applying NIRS with multivariate analysis, it was possible to build variation into the calibration sample set, and the Plackett-Burman design, Box-Behnken design, and a concentrating-diluting method were used to obtain the sample set covered with sufficient fluctuation of process parameters and extended concentration information. NIR data were calibrated to predict the four quality indicators using partial least squares regression(PLSR). In the four calibration models, the root mean squares errors of prediction(RMSEPs) were 1.22 μg/ml, 10.5 μg/ml, 1.43 μg/ml, and 0.433% for lobetyolin, total flavonoids, pigments, and total solid contents, respectively. The results indicated that multi-components quantification of the alcohol precipitation liquid of Codonopsis Radix could be achieved with an NIRS-based method, which offers a useful tool for real-time release testing(RTRT) of intermediates in the manufacture of Codonopsis Radix. 展开更多
