话语标记语You Know的元语用功能分析

人们在使用语言时,或多或少会受到元语用意识的调控。作为口语和书面语中高频出现的语言现象,you know在经历一系列语法化过程后,最终演变成话语标记语,体现了说话者不同程度的元语用意识,具有不同的元语用功能。本文依据COCA语料库,结... 人们在使用语言时,或多或少会受到元语用意识的调控。作为口语和书面语中高频出现的语言现象,you know在经历一系列语法化过程后,最终演变成话语标记语,体现了说话者不同程度的元语用意识,具有不同的元语用功能。本文依据COCA语料库,结合Verschueren的元语用意识理论以及Sperber和Wilson提出的关联理论对话语标记语you know的元语用功能进行分析,发现you know具有强调信息、深入解释、话轮监管、举例说明、提供建议以及维护关系六种元语用功能。通过探索you know的元语用功能,you know与语言使用者的元语用意识之间的关系也得到进一步揭示。When using language, people are more or less regulated by metapragmatic awareness. Frequently used in both spoken and written language, you know, after a series of grammaticalizations, eventually evolves into a discourse marker which reflects speakers’ metapragmatic awareness to different degrees and performs different metapragmatic functions. Based on the COCA, this paper analyses the metapragmatic functions of the discourse marker you know according to Verschueren’s theory of Metapragmatic Awareness and the Relevance Theory proposed by Sperber and Wilson. It is found that you know has six metapragmatic functions: highlighting the information, giving further explanation, regulating turns in conversation, providing examples, making suggestions and maintaining relationships. By exploring the metapragmatic functions of you know, the relationship between you know and the metapragmatic awareness of language users is further revealed. 展开更多

元话语构式you know what的元语用阐释

You know what构式在口语中使用频率较高,主要用于调节交际过程,具有动态的语境特征和丰富的语用功能,体现说话人的元语用意识,属于元话语资源,我们把它称之为“元话语构式”。本文基于元语用理论,以美国影视剧《摩登家庭》(Modern Family)中的会话作为语料,在对元话语构式you know what本身形式结构及语义特征进行分析的基础上,探究该构式如何在口语交际中对言语内容实施管理和调控,体现说话人的元语用意识。研究发现,说话人在元语用意识调控下通过元话语构式You know what的选择,为听话人推理其话语意义提供解读框架,突显说话人的立场和态度,调控交际双方互动关系等,这些调控因素构成了不同维度的动态交际语境,体现了说话人的主观性和交互主观性。 展开更多

Nostalgia is a kind of memories and yearning deep in the heart for one's homeland or the place once lived in, it is the softest emotion and also a spiritual need. To keep nostalgia in new urbanization is to preserve history, culture, memories, and humanistic spirits of the homeland, and also to maintain local cultural genes and carry forward rural civilization. The foundation of remembering the nostalgia is to intensify culture protection. And by means of protecting cultural heritage and style of the traditional settlement practically, preserving cultural gene, inheriting cultural memory, creating cultural brand and characteristic landscape etc., the nostalgia can meet the spiritual demands of the residents, such as homesickness, life emotion, historical emotion and cultural emotion in the process of new urbanization. The key of remembering nostalgia is to promote the construction of small characteristic towns. Relying on on-site urbanization, the signifi cant ways of achieving new urbanization are star-studded layout of small towns and the construction of small characteristic tourism town. The aim is that the teachers and students can attach full importance to the English vocabulary's teaching and learning .Mastering enough vocabulary is the key to apply English successfully.
