Since the founding of New China,lots of scientific excavations and studies have been made in the Beijing area. The rich achievements include the discovery and excavation of the large-sized Liulihe, Shangzhai and Zhenjiangying sites and Han period tombs at Dabaotai and Laoshan, as well as the establishment of a sequence of archaeological cultures for the area. In the future, the focal point of the work should be laid on the excavation and study of major projects and the cultivation of talent.展开更多
