This experiment used pumpkin Longyuanlixiang as material to research the effect of different pruning ways with one branch, two branches, and three branches on the sugar-decreasing matters during the ripeness of pumpkin (Cucurbita moschata) fruits. The results showed that pectin contents of pumpkin fruits during the ripeness all increased at first and then dropped in every treatment. The pectin contents under the treatments of one branch and two branches reached the high apex after pollinated for 30 d as well as for 35 d under the treatment of three branches. Pentose and chromium contents of fruits had the same trend under different pruning ways and increased during the ripenes. Three kinds of sugar-decreasing matters contents under treatment of two branches were bigger than treatment of one branch, while treatment of three branches was the lowest. 展开更多

In order to address the challenge of non-destructive detection of tomato fruit ripeness in controlled environments,this study proposed a real-time instance segmentation method based on the edge device.This method combined the principles of phenotype robots and machine vision based on deep learning.A compact and remotely controllable phenotype detection robot was employed to acquire precise data on tomato ripeness.The video data were then processed by using an efficient backbone and the FeatFlowNet structure for feature extraction and analysis of key-frame to non-key-frame mapping from video data.To enhance the diversity of training datasets and the generalization of the model,an innovative approach was chosen by using random enhancement techniques.Besides,the PolyLoss optimization technique was applied to further improve the accuracy of the ripeness multi-class detection tasks.Through validation,the method of this study achieved real-time processing speeds of 90.1 fps(RTX 3070Ti)and 65.5 fps(RTX 2060 S),with an average detection accuracy of 97%compared to manually measured results.This is more accurate and efficient than other instance segmentation models according to actual testing in a greenhouse.Therefore,the results of this research can be deployed in edge devices and provide technical support for unmanned greenhouse monitoring devices or fruit-picking robots in facility environments. 展开更多

Fruit is a key crop in worldwide agriculture feeding millions of people.The standard supply chain of fruit products involves quality checks to guarantee freshness,taste,and,most of all,safety.An important factor that determines fruit quality is its stage of ripening.This is usually manually classified by field experts,making it a labor-intensive and error-prone process.Thus,there is an arising need for automation in fruit ripeness classification.Many automatic methods have been proposed that employ a variety of feature descriptors for the food item to be graded.Machine learning and deep learning techniques dominate the top-performing methods.Furthermore,deep learning can operate on raw data and thus relieve the users from having to compute complex engineered features,which are often crop-specific.In this survey,we review the latest methods proposed in the literature to automatize fruit ripeness classification,highlighting the most common feature descriptors they operate on. 展开更多

Genetic Algorithm Neural Network(GANN)for multi-class was used to predict the ripeness grades of oil palm fresh fruit using Near Infrared(NIR)spectral data.NIR spectral data provide sufficient information about compound structure of samples from the near infrared light that passes through.The variables used in the GANN modeling process were the new variables obtained as a result of dimensional reduction from original NIR spectral data using Principal Component Analysis(PCA).Three statistical measures such asMean Absolute Error(MAE),Root Mean Squared Error(RMSE)and the percentage(%)of good classification were used to assess adequacy of the GANN model.Based on the results,the GANN model created was precise enough to be used as the model calibration for this multi-class problem. 展开更多

Strawberry is one of the popular fruits with numerous nutrients.The ripeness of this fruits was estimated using the hyperspectral imaging(HSI)system in field and laboratory conditions in this study.Strawberry at early ripe and ripe stageswere collected HSI data,coveredwavelength ranges from370 to 1015 nm.Spectral featurewavelengths were selected using the sequential feature selection(SFS)algorithm.Two wavelengths selected for field(530 and 604 nm)and laboratory(528 and 715 nm)samples,respectively.Then,reliability of such spectral featureswas validated based on support vectormachine(SVM)classifier.Performance of SVMclassification models had good resultswith receiver operating characteristic values for samples under both field and laboratory conditions higher than 0.95.Meanwhile,the spatial feature images were extracted from the spectral feature wavelength and the first three principal components for laboratory samples.Pretrained AlexNet convolutional neural network(CNN)was used to classify the early ripe and ripe strawberry samples,which obtained the accuracy of 98.6%for test dataset.The above results indicated real-time HSI system was promising for estimating strawberry ripeness under field and laboratory conditions,which could be a potential application technique for evaluating the harvesting time management for farmers and producers. 展开更多

X Muscat Rose ( V. vinifera L.), the RAPD marker OPC15-1300 linked to ripe rot ( Gloeosporium fructi-genum Berk.) resistance genes in Chinese wild Vitis was gained using bulked segregation analysis (BS A). And it was found that OPC15-1300 could be hereditary from the resistant parent (83-4-96) after the marker was tested in 50 Fj plants of the cross combination 88-110, 32 accessions of 8 Chinese wild Vitis species and 14 cultivars of V. vinifera L. Also, it has provided a solid basis for molecular marker-assisted selection (MAS) and for possibly cloning disease resistance genes in the future. 展开更多

【目的】实现在大棚草莓种植环境下,在资源受限的移动设备端如安卓手机端,实时快速精准地识别不同成熟度的草莓。【方法】提出了一种超轻量化草莓成熟度检测模型YECC,该模型基于轻量级网络模型YOLOv8n进行改进,首先使用EfficientNetv2模块... 【目的】实现在大棚草莓种植环境下,在资源受限的移动设备端如安卓手机端,实时快速精准地识别不同成熟度的草莓。【方法】提出了一种超轻量化草莓成熟度检测模型YECC,该模型基于轻量级网络模型YOLOv8n进行改进,首先使用EfficientNetv2模块对Backbone部分进行轻量化改进,使模型的三类轻量化指标大幅优化,同时提升检测速度;然后把头层特征提取层Stem模块继续改用YOLOv8n的Conv模块,提升检测精度;接着使用CBAM注意力机制替换原模型Neck部分最后的C2f模块,进一步优化模型的三类轻量化指标,经过改进后的模型称为YECC。同时将YECC模型部署于安卓手机端,开发了一款名为StrawberryDetect的草莓成熟度检测App,并对比了YECC模型和YOLOv8n模型在图库、拍照、实时视频流三个模式下的草莓成熟度检测结果。【结果】YECC的FLOPs缩减至YOLOv8n的31%,Memorysize缩减至58%,Parameters缩减至56%,同时YECC的AP50(ripe类)识别率达到了0.969,高于YOLOv8n的0.968;并且在安卓平台的对比测试表明,在检测精度近似的情况下,YECC模型的FPS是YOLOv8n的两倍以上,可以精准流畅地进行草莓成熟度检测。【结论】本设计能实现草莓生长自动化监控,为色盲色弱从业人员提供采摘依据,为农业采摘机器人提供技术支持,也为成功把模型泛化到类似的工作场景提供了可行的方案。 展开更多
