Shrub-grass vegetation was established on the rocky slope of Longhui-Dongkou Section of Shaohuai Expressway (Shaoyang to Huaihua) by following the below procedures: ① According to regional climatic characteristics, grasses like Cynodon dactylon, Papalum natatum and Sorghum bicolor (L.) Moench can be applied as pioneering species, local shrubs with drought, cold and infertility resistance like Nerium ndicum Mill., Amorpha fruticosa, Pyracantha fortuneana, and Mycoplasma organism as constructive species, local arbors like Robinia pseudoacacia and Albizia kalkora as accompanying species; ② Slope should be treated first before the establishment of shrub-grass vegetation, then anchored, and covered with nets after the mortar solidified and hardened; after the base materials spraying which includes both substrate spraying and surface spraying, the slope should be promptly covered with non-woven fabrics. The results showed that green coverage ratio of shrub-grass vegetation achieved 90% or above, all quality indexes met the expected standards, which implied that the establishment of shrub-grass vegetation is a rapid and effective way for the vegetation restoration of rocky slopes along expressways, and worth of being promoted in similar climatic zones. 展开更多

Blasting is one of the most economical and efficient mining methods in open-pit mine production. However, behind the huge benefits,it poses a hidden threat to the quality of slope rock mass, stability of slope, and safety of nearby buildings. In order to explore the influence of blasting vibration on the stability of anti-dip layered rock slopes, herein, the site near the large-scale toppling failure area of Changshanhao gold mine stope of Inner Mongolia Taiping Mining Co.,Ltd.was selected for on-site blasting test and monitoring. The Peak Particle Velocity(PPV)measured at the monitoring point is located on the lower side of the maximum allowable vibration velocity curve that is prepared based on the allowable speed standard evaluation chart in the full frequency domain established by standards practiced in various countries such as German DIN4150,the USBM RI 8507,and Chinese GB6722-2014.This indicates that the blasting vibration has less influence on the location of the monitoring point. The vibration signals obtained in the blasting test were analyzed using the wavelet packet theory, and it was concluded that the blasting vibration signals measured in the anti-dip layered rock slope were mainly concentrated in two frequency bands of 0-80 Hz and 115-160 Hz.The sum of energy of the two frequency bands accounted for more than 99%,wherein,the energy contained in the 0-80 Hz frequency band accounted for more than 85%of the monitoring signals. The vibration signal with 0-80 Hz frequency band monitored at the slope toe was selected for the energy attenuation analysis. The results showed that the energy attenuation decreased in radial, vertical, and tangential directions.Further, the Energy Attenuation Rate per Meter(EARPM)was calculated. In conjunction with the site characteristics analysis,it was found that the energy attenuation rate was significantly affected by the rock mass characteristics of the structural plane. The slope reinforcement project can effectively reduce the absorption of vibration energy by the slope and increase slope stability. 展开更多

Based on the exploration of the engineering geology and the rock mechan-ics testing, limit equilibrium analysis method was adopted to calculate the stability of the Huogeqi Copper Mine slope, the results show that the original slope angle is too con-servative and the slope have the potential of more preferable slope angle. In order to discuss the possibility of slope angle enhancement, sensitivity analysis of parameters related to limit state slope was made. Quantitatively determined angle value of the add-ing and the optimal slope angle was obtained. The study having performed showed that it is not only useful for the safety control of open-pit mine slope but also for the open-pit mine design for the similar geological condition. 展开更多

Field pull-out and laboratory tests were applied to investigate the effect of metal bolts and wire netting on plant root distribution and anchorage characteristics of 9-year-old Vitex negundo L. growing on a weakly weathered rocky slope (38°). Root number, length and diameter were recorded and single root specimens were classified and tested for tensile strength. The results show that root anchorage is different between the two constructions by bolts and wire. Under limited soil condition, root anchorage ability is 80% lower than when there is sufficient soil due to the reduction of the diameter and number of all second-order lateral roots, as well as the reduction of the tensile strength of the embedded second-order and first-order lateral roots on limited soil. We conclude that the distribution and anchorage of Vitex negundo L. is affected by limited soil availability on rocky slopes. 展开更多
