This paper describes systematic measurement of fiber migration and distribution pattern of twist at different radial positions of rotor spun yarn mixed tracer fiber by Hi-Scope Video Microscope System. The positions of tracer fibers were measured in three dimensions accurately, and the migration index and the twist distribution at different radial positions of rotor yarn were calculated and analyzed. In the previous studies, the optimum technological combination has been obtained for producing coarse pure ramie noil yarns on rotor spinning system currently. Because of no yarn properties standard available at present for suchlike yarns, it is considered necessary to analyse the acceptability of coarse pure ramie noil rotor-spun yarns in terms of yarn properties before their products being developed. By the aid of a hypothetical concept "pure ramie noil ring-spun yarn", this paper draws the conclusion that the coarse pure ramie noil rotor-spun yarns are condsidered acceptable to a great extent; furthermore, it introduces 5 kinds of woven fabrics and 3 kinds of knitted fabrics successfully designed and developed from those yarns. 展开更多

This paper reports a recent development of a yarn modification process to produce torque balanced singles spun yarns. Taking advantages of the core-sheath structure of unconventional spun yarns, we have developed a yarn modification process and applied it to singles yarns spun by rotor spinning. Torque free singles yarns have been produced from 100% cotton fibers. The spirality of resultant single jersey knit fabrics has been greatly reduced or, in some cases, completely eliminated. Properties and performance characteristics of both parent and modified yarns as well as their resultant fabrics have been evaluated including the yarn tensile properties, surface properties, handle, air permeability, burst strength, and pilling resistance of the fabrics. 展开更多

This article presents a comparative analysis of the properties of cotton yarn spun on aerodynamic compact spinning and open-end rotor spinning systems. Yarn samples with a linear density of 50 Tex, 37 Tex, 30 Tex, 25 Tex, and 20 Tex were spun both on the aerodynamic compact and rotor spinning systems using the same finisher drawn sliver of medium staple cotton which were produced by a specific mixing. The quality parameters such as mass variation, imperfection index, hairiness, and tensile behavior (strength in count strength product, elongation percentage) of the yarn samples were assessed and analyzed. The results revealed that aerodynamic compact spun yarn had a lower unevenness and mass variation, a higher imperfection in case of a finer count, less hairiness, higher tensile strength, and lower elongation% compared to the open-end rotor spun yarn samples. Finally, paired- samples t-test and regression analysis were carried out by using IBM SPSS 25 to check the significance of yarn quality parameters and correlation among them. 展开更多

This paper presents a comparison study of two models for predicting the strength of rotor spun cotton yarns from fiber properties.The adaptive neuro-fuzzy system inference(ANFIS) and Multiple Linear Regression models are used to predict the rotor spun yarn strength.Fiber properties and yarn count are used as inputs to train the two models and the count-strength-product(CSP) was the target.The predictive performances of the two models are estimated and compared.We found that the ANFIS has a better predictive power in comparison with linear multiple regression model.The impact of each fiber property is also illustrated. 展开更多

Yarn quality characteristics are affected by processing parameters. A 36 tex rotor spun yarn of 50/50 Basofil/cotton (B/C) blended yarn was spun, and the spinning process optimised for rotor speed, opening roller speed and twist factor. Selected yarn characteristics were studied during the optimization process. During the optimizations process yarn elongation and hairiness reduced with increase in rotor speed. Tenacity increased with increase of rotor speed. The increase in TF caused tenacity and CV of count to increase up to a peak and then started to decrease with further increase of TF. While TF caused an increase in yarn hairiness, elongation decreased to a minimum level and then started to increase with further increase of TF. CV of count and hairiness increased with increase in opening roller speed, but tenacity and elongation decreased with increase in opening roller speed. The optimization process yielded the optimum levels for rotor speed, opening roller speed and twist factor (TF) as 45,000 rpm, 6,500 rpm and 450 respectively. As per uster Standards the optimum yarn showed good results for CV of count, CV of tenacity and thin places/km. 展开更多

This paper deals with the tensile behaviour of rotor spun yarns. Having regard to the spe-cial construction of rotor spun yarn, some modifications for Hearle’s theory have been made inorder to apply Hearle’ s theory to rotor spun yarn. The paper then goes into calculating thetensile curve and investigating the effect of main parameters and spinning conditions on thetensile behaviour of rotor spun yarn. It was found that the following facts are noteworthy forimproving the mechanical properties of rotor spun yarn: (1) Selecting suitable navel so as tocontrol the P. T. E. length within a reasonable range. (2) Improving the design of single fibresupply device to decrease the amount of spoiled fibre and hence increase the effective fibrelength. (3) Increasing spinning yarn tension without yarn break to enhance the fibre migrationratio. (4) For the rotor spun yarn of industrial use, it is the way to increase the yarn strengththat the rotor groove should be designed with the groove angle beneficial to decrease the yarnspecific volume. 展开更多

It is pointed out that the yarn curve shape and tension will both fluctuate with the trajectory's revolving cycle inside the rotor. 为了解决传统牛仔纱颜色单调、织物风格单一,且存在染色污染的问题,从牛仔纱线花色设计出发,详述选用黑白粘胶纤维、通过改变不同颜色纤维组分比例,在双分梳转杯纺单头试验机上纺制5种双节花色变化牛仔纱的方案设计;选取颜色风格为灰黑... 为了解决传统牛仔纱颜色单调、织物风格单一,且存在染色污染的问题,从牛仔纱线花色设计出发,详述选用黑白粘胶纤维、通过改变不同颜色纤维组分比例,在双分梳转杯纺单头试验机上纺制5种双节花色变化牛仔纱的方案设计;选取颜色风格为灰黑的牛仔纱,以分梳辊转速、转杯转速及成纱捻度3因素设计正交试验,对比不同试验水平所纺的纱线性能,优选出最佳纺纱工艺组合及其织物织造工艺。指出:在分梳辊转速为7.5 kr/min、转杯转速为50 kr/min、纱线捻度为65捻/(10 cm)的条件下,纺制的牛仔纱质量较好,织物具有明显的灰黑牛仔风格;采用双分梳转杯纺技术、改变原料组分及交替比例的纺纱模式,能直接进行牛仔纱色彩设计,生产方便高效且过程环保;增加有色原料组分变化比例及变化次数,可纺制出多节渐变的花色牛仔纱。 展开更多

面向全色域转杯纺纱的Kubelka-Munk双常数理论模型构建及颜色预测 被引量:2

为了能在色纺纱的纺纱阶段即时调控纱线颜色,减少混色成本,缩短工艺流程,结合三通道数控转杯纺纱的特点构建了全色域网格化混色模型,该模型可在纺纱过程中进行全色域范围内的色相调控、明度调控和彩度调控。为了解决色纺纱的测配色问题... 为了能在色纺纱的纺纱阶段即时调控纱线颜色,减少混色成本,缩短工艺流程,结合三通道数控转杯纺纱的特点构建了全色域网格化混色模型,该模型可在纺纱过程中进行全色域范围内的色相调控、明度调控和彩度调控。为了解决色纺纱的测配色问题,得到与之相匹配的测配色系统,根据来样快速进行计算机测配色,节约成本,结合传统Kubelka-Munk双常数理论模型的特点,从构建的全色域网格化混色模型中选取混合样来进行颜色预测。从传统Kubelka-Munk双常数理论模型颜色预测的结果发现,部分混合样的预测反射率明显低于实际的反射率,针对这个问题,重新构建了新的Kubelka-Munk双常数理论模型来进行颜色预测得到新的预测反射率,并用插值替换的方法,把传统Kubelka-Munk双常数理论模型预测结果中明显低于实际反射率的部分用新的预测反射率替换,得到最终的混合样预测反射率。结果表明:与传统的Kubelka-Munk双常数理论模型预测混合样颜色结果相比,新的Kubelka-Munk双常数理论模型预测颜色并用插值替换法替换后得到的最终的混合样的颜色,色差平均值从1.48降低到1.04,且所有混合样的色差均能控制在2.0以内。该预测方法较传统Kubelka-Munk双常数理论模型具有更好的预测精度,所构建的全色域网格化混色模型和新的Kubelka-Munk双常数理论模型可应用于多基色纤维混色色彩和混合比的预测。 展开更多
