The People’s Army of Vietnam (PAVN) decided to use conventional warfare to unify Vietnam. The United States military operation against the Ho Chi Minh Trail traffic began in 1959. The (PAVN) connected a series of old...The People’s Army of Vietnam (PAVN) decided to use conventional warfare to unify Vietnam. The United States military operation against the Ho Chi Minh Trail traffic began in 1959. The (PAVN) connected a series of old trails leading from North Vietnam to South Vietnam via Laos and Cambodia. In the 1960s the network of trails was expanded. Trail traffic was interdicted by repeated CIA (Air America) and US Air Force (Operation Ranch Hand) tactical herbicide spraying and bombing missions. During the late 1960s, the Khmer Rouge Army slowly grew in eastern Cambodia during a time when America was spraying and bombing the Ho Chi Minh Trail. On February 22, 1969, the PAVN launched a new offensive against American forces in South Vietnam from their sanctuaries in Cambodia. President Richard Nixon and Dr. Henry Kissinger, decided to spray and bomb Cambodia, a neutral country, to eliminate the PAVN sanctuary base camps. The damage and loss of life as a result of U.S. air campaign resulted in the insurgency (Khmer Rouge) being able to recruit civilian members. This created a dual effect of strengthening the popularity of the Khmer Rouge, led by Pol Pot, enabling him to overthrow the Khmer Republic in 1975. The primary objectives of this study are to determine the political impacts and consequences of: 1) the 1959 United States secret war on the Ho Chi Minh Trail in Cambodia and 2) the 1969 President Nixon’s decision to destroy the PAVN bases hidden in the Cambodian jungles. These United States secret wars in Cambodia had long-lasting effects on Cambodian political, social, and economic stability.展开更多

Multipath routing protocols try to improve the performance by fin...Mobile Ad-hoc network (MANET) is an infrastructure-less and dynamic network. Routing in such a network is a challenge due to the mobility of its nodes. Multipath routing protocols try to improve the performance by finding more than one path towards the destination which could be kept as alternatives should the main path breaks. Stability-based Partially Disjoint AOMDV (SPDA) protocol has been proposed to tackle problems resulted from the very dynamic topology of MANETs. SPDA finds partially disjoint paths that are more stable than the maximally disjoint ones in order to increase paths lifetime as well as the availability of such multipaths. When choosing partially disjoint paths, SPDA does not take into consideration the number of hops of each path. Moreover, SPDA transmits packets over the shortest path until it becomes invalid before it tries to utilize other alternative paths. In this paper we improve SPDA by adding the number of nodes each path passes through to the selection criteria. In the Improved SPDA (ISPDA), the available alternative paths have been utilized to transmit packets in parallel. We compare the SPDA and ISPDA regarding the throughput and delay. Results show the superiority of ISPDA over the original one.展开更多

A substantial amount of textual data is present electronically in several languages.These texts directed the gear to information redundancy.It is essential to remove this redundancy and decrease the reading time of th...A substantial amount of textual data is present electronically in several languages.These texts directed the gear to information redundancy.It is essential to remove this redundancy and decrease the reading time of these data.Therefore,we need a computerized text summarization technique to extract relevant information from group of text documents with correlated subjects.This paper proposes a language-independent extractive summarization technique.The proposed technique presents a clustering-based optimization technique.The clustering technique determines the main subjects of the text,while the proposed optimization technique minimizes redundancy,and maximizes significance.Experiments are devised and evaluated using BillSum dataset for the English language,MLSUM for German and Russian and Mawdoo3 for the Arabic language.The experiments are evaluated using ROUGE metrics.The results showed the effectiveness of the proposed technique compared to other language-dependent and languageindependent summarization techniques.Our technique achieved better ROUGE metrics for all the utilized datasets.The technique accomplished an F-measure of 41.9%for Rouge-1,18.7%for Rouge-2,39.4%for Rouge-3,and 16.8%for Rouge-4 on average for all the dataset using all three objectives.Our system also exhibited an improvement of 26.6%,35.5%,34.65%,and 31.54%w.r.t.The recent model contributed in the summarization of BillSum in terms of ROUGE metric evaluation.Our model’s performance is higher than the comparedmodels,especially in themetric results ofROUGE_2which is bi-gram matching.展开更多

This agent sometimes triggered as a serious factor in the site of inflammation. There are many papers which concerned newly accessed anti-oxidative substances. However, many reports only focused on the molecular basis in vitro, suggesting vin rouge for their rich content of polyphonol rather than vin blank with a French paradox. We had been suggested that the key factor for oxidative stress needs to be discussed first for immunological standpoint, such as in phagocytic cell in situ. With this assay system in rodent macrophage, SO level was about the same for both groups administered vin blank as well as vin rouge.展开更多
