Research on Rurality Spatial Pattern of Jiangsu Province Based on County Scale in China

By taking 65 counties and cities of Jiangsu Province as empirical units, rurality indexes have been constructed based on regional urban-rural integration, and a quantitative evaluation has been conducted on the rurality of Jiangsu Province based on county scale. With the support of ArcGIS 9.3, GeoDA 095 and SPSS 16, by adopting Jenks best breakpoint classification and spatial autocorrelation analysis, quantitative analysis and research have been conducted on the spatial differentiation of rurality of Jiangsu Province. The results show that the rural difference of Jiangsu Province based on county scale is not remarkable, and the area with strong rurality takes a larger proportion; rurality increases from South Jiangsu to North Jiangsu progressively; rurality concentrates in general, seven counties and cities including Jiangyin and Kunshan City are "cold points" while seven counties and cities including Guanyun and Funing City are "hot points" of rurality.

Research on Sightseeing Leisure Agricultural Development Based on New Rural Construction——A Case Study of North Jiangsu Province in China

The paper has introduced the connotation of new rural construction,agricultural industrialization,leisure agriculture and North Jiangsu Region,and proposed that leisure agriculture has made following effects on the development of North Jiangsu:promoting rural production of North Jiangsu and improving villagers' life standard;developing agricultural ecological resources in North Jiangsu and facilitating agricultural sustainable development;and transferring surplus labors in North Jiangsu and increasing the value of human resources.It has concluded natural condition,resources condition,human condition and market condition for leisure agricultural development in North Jiangsu.On this basis,it has proposed countermeasures to accelerate leisure agricultural development in North Jiangsu.The government should give political and financial support and provide vocational training;it should create the development concept and business organization mode of leisure agriculture;build service consciousness and make brand publicity with the market as the guidance;perfect government's function,complete organization management and expand public service;and reform rural financial credit system and formulate leisure agriculture insurance measures.

The regional disparities of socio-economic development in rural Jiangsu Province,China

Since the implementation of reform and open door policy in China, Jiangsu has become one of the provinces which have the highest speed of economic development. With the implementation of the uneven development strategy, Jiangsu has witnessed a widening dichotomy in levels of socio economic development: southeast showing rapid improvement and north showing little improvement, particularly in rural areas. Based on factor analysis, it is argued that foreign investment, agricultural productivity, the character of regional economic structures, and the level of urbanization all contribute in varying ways to the inequalities in levels of socio economic development in different regions of Jiangsu. According to the levels of socio economic development, eleven regions are categorized into three groups.

Gap between Urban and Rural Economic Development in Less Developed Areas——A Case of Northern Jiangsu Area,China

Taking northern Jiangsu area as an example,economic disparity between urban and rural areas is described according to the data in 2000-2009 Jiangsu Statistical Yearbook.Result shows that there are significant differences in the rural and urban economic development in less developed areas,which are mainly reflected in the differences in per capita income,living standard,and Engel coefficient.Reasons for urban and rural economic disparity in less developed areas are analyzed.The asymmetry and immobility of rural and urban resources have objectively caused the income gap between urban and rural residents;urban industrial development,which is faster than agricultural development,has widened the income gap between urban and rural residents;and the differences in comparative labor productivity in rural and urban areas have enlarged their income gap.Countermeasures to minimize the urban and rural economic development gap are put forward,such as deepening the reform,realizing the free flow of economic resources between urban and rural areas,developing rural areas through urban development,exerting the function of urban areas in the coordinated development of urban and rural areas,paying attention to the agriculture and rural areas,and improving the comparative labor productivity of agriculture.

Analysis on Peasants' Diet Condition and Food Safety Awareness in Northern Jiangsu——From the Perspective of Economics

Taking three counties in northern Jiangsu (Suining,Ganyu and Sihong) as the respondents,the economic principles of food safety issues of rural areas in northern Jiangsu are described from three aspects which are information asymmetry,food supply and food safety issue and food consumption and food safety issue.From the two aspects-adverse selection of consumers and opportunistic behavior of producers,the paper introduces the influence of food safety issues of rural areas in northern Jiangsu.Based on the above analysis,economic theories for solving food safety issues of rural areas in northern Jiangsu are put forward:First,improve consumers' knowledge of food safety;Second,normalize the behavior of main bodies of production and management;Third,improve the current situation of information asymmetry of food safety;Fourth,accelerate economic construction of rural areas in northern Jiangsu,practically increase peasant income and living standard.

20世纪30年代江苏农村金融困境与私营银行的参与

20世纪30年代,江苏农村面临着金融枯竭的困境,表现为资金外流、负债普遍以及高利贷盛行。金融助农成为当务之急,部分私营商业银行也参与到江苏农村的金融救济之中,其中,上海商业储蓄银行很具代表性。该行不仅成立了农业贷款部,还与江苏地方政府合作成立农民抵押贷款所,通过信用合作社、农仓以及产销合作社发放农贷,提供相对较低的利率,对缓解农村资金压力具有一定的积极性。但是从根本上看,私营银行进行农贷的本质是为剩余资金寻找出路,因而其在调剂金融方面又存在明显的局限性。

关于构建新时期江苏农业农村生态环境监测体系的思考

系统梳理了农村环境监测工作现状,分析了江苏省农村环境监测工作存在的问题,突出表现在监测网络不完善、技术体系不完备、体制机制不健全、基础能力待加强、信息化水平须提升等方面。立足管理视角,以客观反映农村生态环境质量为目标,以有效服务和支撑农业农村环境监管为重点,从业务、责任、技术、保障4个方面提出了新时期江苏农业农村生态环境监测体系的建设思路。

江苏沿海乡村聚落空间演变特征及驱动机制:以盐城市为例

科学认识乡村聚落演变特征及驱动机制是乡村聚落有序重构的基础前提,也是当前乡村地理学研究的重要内容之一。以江苏沿海城市盐城为例,基于1980—2020年3期土地利用数据,采用核密度估计、空间“热点”分析和景观格局指数等方法,探究江苏沿海平原乡村聚落的空间演变特征及驱动机制。结果表明:(1)从空间分布上来看,盐城市乡村聚落聚集性特征明显,密度分布呈西北高、东南低,沿道路、县城和中心城镇分布的指向性逐渐增强;(2)从规模结构上来看,2000—2020年盐城市乡村聚落规模增大,数量减少,集约用地程度不断提高,聚落呈现大规模、低密度分布与小规模、高密度分布特征;(3)从景观形态上来看,聚落斑块趋于规则,主要表现为点状、带状和块状扩张模式;(4)聚落空间变化是自然环境、经济发展、区位交通和政策调控等综合作用的结果,经济发展和区位交通是乡村聚落演变的主要驱动力,区域发展政策带动作用越来越显著。
