Through the review and reflection on the protection of rural culture,this paper thinks that there are many factors affecting the protection of rural culture,which need to be analyzed systematically.This paper takes th...Through the review and reflection on the protection of rural culture,this paper thinks that there are many factors affecting the protection of rural culture,which need to be analyzed systematically.This paper takes the cultural meme theory as the basic theory of rural cultural protection and inheritance,and constructs a set of factors affecting the protection of rural culture from two aspects of external environment and group psychology.Based on 335 questionnaires of rural tourism destination residents in Jiangsu Province,this paper deeply analyzes the influence of rural cultural protection and its driving factors,and uses structural equation model to calculate.The empirical results show that the group psychological factors as an intermediate variable,physical environmental factors and social environmental factors significantly affect the group psychological factors,thus affecting the rural cultural protection.At the same time,the impact of cultural and tourism utilization factors on rural cultural protection is also significant.From the perspective of the main body of rural cultural protection,this paper explores the psychology of the main body of rural cultural protection,promotes the upgrading of rural tourism quality and efficiency while protecting rural culture,deepens theoretical research and strengthens practical application,which has important enlightenment significance for realizing the healthy inheritance of rural culture.On the other hand,this paper can provide reasonable suggestions for the governance and development of rural traditional tourism.展开更多

It has also enhanced agricultural policies and str...Seeking to alleviate and eradicate Bao （the minimum livelihood guarantee system） extreme povertY, the Chinese government has extended Di to the entire rural sector. It has also enhanced agricultural policies and strengthened its promotion of rural socioeconomic development. In more-developed regions of the country, the Di Bao program-in combination with integrated urban and rural social insurance and public services-has significantly reduced rates of poverty and financial vulnerability, and additional employment-promotion policies have created opportunities for Di Bao recipients to achieve incomes above the poverty-line. However, because of the high number of extremely poor households in disproportionately poor areas and the paucity of locally-available financial resources there, the intensity of intervention is still insufficient. Inadequate coordination of policies and shortcomings in the targeting of subsidies have resulted in both under-coverage and welfare-leakage as well. Consequently, in China＇s efforts to eradicate extreme poverty, increasing the effectiveness of poverty-reduction strategies in poor areas remains a key prioritY.展开更多

Compared with urban environmental protection, rural environmental protection has...With the rise of environmentalism in China, great efforts have been devoted to environmental protec- tion over the past several decades. Compared with urban environmental protection, rural environmental protection has not been attached enough importance in China due to the dual-track structure of socio-economic development. As a result, rural China is shouldering disproportionally heavy environmental burdens partly because of the differences and biases between urban and rural environmental protection seen in environmental policies, environ- mental rights and interests, environmental protection investment, and the environmental protection awareness of people. To eliminate the gap between rural and urban environmental protection, and achieve the goal of ＂balanced urban-rural environmental protection＂ （BUREP）, government should consider mapping out proper policies and strategies. In this paper we put forward an innovative strategy of BUREP against the background of China＇s urban-rural environmental protection. First, we review the current status of rural environmental protection status and its challenges compared with urban environ- mental protection in China. Secondly, we analyzed the main driving factors and reasons deeply, and then we put forward the BUREP strategy base on the unequal status between urban and rural environment. Finally, we proposed the framework of BUREP. This study may serve as a scientific reference regarding decision-making in coordinating urban and rural environmental protection and in constructing the new countryside of China.展开更多
