Social and Economic Considerations for Creating Sustainable Climate Change Haven Communities

As Climate Change Haven Communities are constructed across the Northern Hemisphere, it will be necessary to attract two types of migrants to populate them. The first group consists of professionals and companies in eco-sustainable businesses, such as law firms, insurance companies, investment firms, banking, technological innovation, mass media, medical research and pharmaceutical research. The second group will consist of persons engaged in organic/eco-sustainable agriculture whose crops and animal husbandry practices can be transferred successfully to Climate Change Haven regions. The present research focuses on the social and economic variables that must be taken into account to insure that each new Climate Change Haven Community becomes successfully integrated with the local population and forms a cohesive, harmonious social structure. Examples are given from the United States, France, Spain, Portugal and Italy.

双重嵌入与空间拓展:体育社会组织的一个生存发展模型——基于S省T市2个体育社会组织的实证研究

运用文献研究、案例分析与逻辑思辨的研究方法,借助“双向嵌入与空间拓展”的分析框架对S省T市两个体育社会组织的生存发展路径进行了分析和研究,旨在于能够构建出一个特定制度环境下的体育社会组织生存发展模型。研究认为,体育社会组织生存发展模型包含三个维度:(1)体育社会组织能够在政治上将各项合法的理性要素纳入到其正式的结构之中,实现体育社会组织的“政治合法性”;(2)体育社会组织能够将行政合法化要素纳入到自身的发展结构之中,最大限度地获得政府的“行政许可”,从而实现体育社会组织的“行政合法性”;(3)体育社会组织能够从组织层面和组织成员层面进行更多具有能动性的努力,那么就能够塑造有利于组织自身生存发展的环境机制,从而实现体育社会组织在政治合法性、行政合法性和社会合法性上的统一,让体育社会组织从简单的“资格合法”转向“参与嵌入”。

社会治理共同体的研究现状、热点与展望——基于CiteSpace知识图谱的分析

构建社会治理共同体是我国社会治理的应有之义。运用CiteSpace软件对2008-2023年社会治理共同体研究领域的发文量、作者及机构合作、关键词进行整理,绘制可视化知识图谱进行分析。结果发现:该领域研究发文趋势总体向好;核心作者以于水、徐亚清、张康之等为代表;研究机构以高校为主;研究热点围绕社会治理共同体的布设、社会组织与社会治理共同体、城乡社会治理共同体三方面展开。未来应继续以马克思理论为指导,从外部力量的壮大与多学科思维互动、强化现实性分析,与中国实情结合等方面,对社会治理共同体进行立体化、现实化、本土化、学理化研究。

Social Marketing:An Advocacy Empirical Analysis of Service Objects of Public Welfare Organizations

The ultimate goal of social marketing is to change the behavior,attitude,concept,and so on of target audiences.For the public welfare organization,the basis of its service project design is the organization's mission and location.The key to achieve the organizational mission is to be able to lock the service objects and respond to the needs of service objects effectively.This research is based on the theoretical framework of social marketing and based on the questionnaire survey and analysis of the advocacy effectiveness and problems of service objects of the 327 public service organizations in China.Using the Delphi method and the entropy method,the 6P model of social marketing for service objects advocacy in the field of domestic public welfare practice is concise,and a new operational mechanism for service objects advocacy of public welfare organizations is proposed to implement the mission and value of public welfare organizations and contribute to the change of service objects.

The factors that affect the participation of social organizations in pension service are analyzed

At present, the aging situation of China＇s population is becoming more and more serious. By the end of 2016, there were 231 million people over the age of 60 in China, accounting for 16.7% of the total population. About 150 million people aged 65 and over make up 10.8 percent of the total population. China is expected to enter the peak period of population aging by 2035. Therefore, the government as a single pension service main body management pattern already can not adapt to our country entered the aging society, mobilize and fostering social organizations to participate in the pension services is to build perfect endowment service system, satisfy people pension service demand model of a kind of indispensable. In view of the development of social organizations has just started in our country, there exist many problems and difficulties, so this article USES the ISM method, for social organizations to participate in research and analyze influence factors of pension services, and then find out the social organization in the process of participation in pension service problems, put forward effective solutions.

Effect of Social Capital on Performance of Smallholder Farmer Organizations in Western Kenya

Development literature has recently promoted the use of producer organizations in linking farmers to better-paying commodity markets. However, empirical studies find mixed performance of such organizations. This study examines the producer organizations＇ internal factors that may explain the differences in the performance of producer organizations. The study specifically analyzes the role of social capital, within a producer organization, on the performance of such organization using quantitative techniques. The level of commercialization is used as proxy of organization＇s performance. The study finds that social capital positively affects the performance of producer organizations. These findings imply that development strategies that target the promotion commercialization of smallholder agriculture through producer organizations should pay attention to the internal factors within such organizations.

Reflections on the Participation of Social Organizations in the Prevention of COVID-19

Objective To study the problems of Chinese social organizations in participating in the prevention and control of the COVID-19 pandemic so that we can standardize the participation mechanism,improve the collaborative management mechanism,and promote the development of social organizations.Methods Through the analysis of CNKI,news reports,industry conferences and other data,combined with the current situation,the participation of social organizations in public health emergencies were investigated.Results and Conclusion The coordination between government and social organizations is not good.Social organizations in the field of public health are unable to stand out in a timely manner.The public do not have self-management ability.Some of the media spread rumors.Besides,most social organizations are highly dependent on the government and they are ack supervision.Social organizations should be incorporated into the emergency management system and national hub-based social organizations must be established.In addition,supervision should be strengthened to increase the credibility of social organizations.The responsibilities of community and emergency management at the grassroots level should be enhanced.The public opinion response and disposal system should be improved.Lastly,the responsibility of social organizations in the field of public health must be fulfilled.

The Participation of Social Organizations and the Reform of the People's Assessor System

In the process of transition from the rural China to modern society,the people's assessor system mainly reflects the citizens' individual participation.However,organized judicial participation has not been paid enough attention in either institutional design or in the actual operation.Judicial participation of social organizations has important significance not only in highlighting the value of people's assessor system,but also in getting out of the "presenting without substantive hearing"predicament in practice.Therefore,the people's court shall guide the orderly participation of social organizations in justice,and make social organizations play a more important role in people's assessor system.

五社联动背景下社区养老服务模式创新探索——以D市J区S社区为例

“五社联动”背景下社区养老服务模式是我国在为应对日益严重的老龄化问题,弥补家庭养老和机构养老短板的实践过程中探索出的养老服务新模式。该模式主要通过社区、社会工作者、社区社会组织、社区志愿者和社区公益慈善资源的联动来满足养老服务的多样化需求。D市J区S社区通过形成多元参与格局、扩展养老服务内容和发掘养老新主体等举措,推动了社区养老的发展,取得一定进展。但由于欠缺服务专业性和基础设施等原因,社区养老发展缓慢,陷入困境。基于此,针对各主体,分别提出打造舒适社区环境和搭建联系各方协作网、建立高素质专业化的社会工作者队伍、提高社会组织公共服务能力、推进社区志愿者服务制度化、推进“互联网+公益”新模式的运用等举措,更好的推动社区养老服务模式的发展。

Social organization of Shortridge’s capped langur（Trachypithecus shortridgei） at the Dulongjiang Valley in Yunnan,China

Non-human primates often live in socially stable groups characterized by bonded relationships among individuals. Social organization can be used to evaluate living conditions and expansion potential. Bisexual group size, ratio of males to females and group composition are essential elements determining the type of social organization. Although the first report on Shortridge’s capped langurs（Trachypithecus shortridgei） was in the 1970 s, until now, the species only inhabits forests of the Dulongjiang valley in northwest Yunnan, China, with c. 250-370 individuals in 19 populations. To understand its social organization, we collected data from five groups of Shortridge’s langurs at Silaluo in the Dulongjiang valley during August 2012-October 2013. Family groups consist of one adult male, 2–3 adult females and up to five young. Group size averaged 8（7-9） individuals. The ratio of adult males to females（M/F） was 1：2.9, infants to adult females was（I/F） 1：2.2; and ratio of adults to immatures was 1：1.2, indicating the potential of a population increasing. Birth season was during March-July and the inter-birth interval was two years.

Social organization of a flock of Helmeted Guineafowl(Numida meleagris)at the Krugersdorp Game Reserve,South Africa

The social organization of marked Helmeted Guineafowl(Numida meleagris) was studied in the Krugersdorp Game Reserve(Gauteng Province,South Africa) during March 1982 to February 1984.Flock members(7-10 guineafowl) did not associate randomly.Helmeted Guineafowl must live in a sociable flock to survive in the wild.The highest ranking male(male A) formed the pivot of the daily activities of the flock,such as determining foraging direction.High ranking males(males A and B) associated closely to repulse conspecific intruders.Breeding females associated more often with the high ranking males during the breeding season.Although a pecking order was established among males,the frequency of agonistic actions within the flock was very low,which suggests that agonistic interactions are limited to maintain cohesion.Adult females remained between the dominant male and the juveniles to minimize victimization.The second highest ranking male(B) took center stage while the dominant male and his female left temporarily to breed and then the rest of the flock clustered around him to maintain the cohesive nature of the flock.Most adults assisted with the brooding of the chicks of the highest ranking male.Flocking is,among other functions,a predator surveillance strategy that enables the Helmeted Guineafowl to forage under conditions with very limited ground cover and to maximize food finding during winter.

Ontology modeling of semantics in social media:Public issue knowledge base (PIKB)of the Weibo

Purpose:This study aims to construct an ontology to model the semantics of social media streams,in particular,trending topics and public issues.Design/methodology/approach:Our knowledge base included 10 public events and topics from Weibo respectively,which were collected through keyword search and a crawler program.We used a semi-automatic approach to model and annotate the semantics in social media,and adapted the multi-layered ontology to refine the design based on previous researches,then we used named entity recognition(NER) to extract entities to instantiate the ontology.Relationships were extracted based on co-occurrence measures.Finally,we manually conducted post-filtering evaluation and edited the extracted entities and relationships.Findings:An initial assessment demonstrated that our multi-layered ontology supports various types of queries and analyses in the public issue knowledge base(PIKB),which can serve as an effective tool to query,understand and trace public issues.Research limitations:Manual involvement cannot meet the requirements for challenges of sustainable developments.Since the relationships extracted are fully based on the co-occurrence of entities,rich semantic relationships,such as how much the key players have been involved,could not be fully reflected.Besides,the user evaluation is necessary for further ontology assessment.Practical implications:The PIKB can be used by regular Web users and policy makers to query,understand,and make sense of public events and topics.The methodology and reusable ontology model are useful for institutions that are interested in making use of the social media data.Originality/value:In this study,a multi-layered ontology is applied to model the evolving semantics of public events and trending topics in social media,and the semi-automatic approach could make it possible to extract entities and relationships from large amount of unstructured short texts of user generated content(UGC) from social media.

The Existence of Social Movement Organization (SMO) & Comparison of Collective and Connective Action in the Digital Era - an Analysis of 15-M Movement in Spain

Social movement organizations(SMOs)have been performing a significant role in terms of gathering like-minded civil individuals with common interests during social movements.Stepping into the digital era,the social media becomes prevailing in transforming people’s lifestyles.This essay will discuss the 15-M Movement in Spain to explore the transition of SMO’s position from conventional social movements to those in the digital era in the light of collective action logic and connective action logic.With the phenomenon that SMO itself sometimes is the original source of problems to trigger social movements,it is reasonable to see the decreasingly important SMO with the successful example of the 15-M Movement to engage over 60 cities in Spain and avoid the“free ride”problem via completely excluding brick and mortar organizations.

Pivotal Social Organization:Institutional Logic and Practical Approach

基于SFIC模型的社会组织协同参与乡村青少年科技创新教育研究

乡村青少年科技创新教育是乡村教育振兴与人才培养的题中应有之义。充分发挥社会组织在乡村青少年科技创新教育中的作用和优势,对提高教育供给的有效性、精准性和创造性具有重要意义。以协同治理理论为分析视角,以SFIC协同治理模型为参照,对河北省“科技萌娃”公益项目的典型案例进行经验总结,探究其作用机理,并结合社会组织协同参与乡村青少年科技创新教育的现实困境,从环境培育、主体建设、关系合作、制度建构、机制保障等方面提出社会组织协同参与乡村青少年科技创新教育的实现路径,对于进一步推进乡村青少年科技创新教育,乃至于推动乡村振兴实践都具有重要的理论与实践价值。
