The mathematical topological rule was proposed to plot the predominance area diagram.Based on the phase rules,the components of In-S-O system were analyzed and the coexisting points of three condensed phases were dete...The mathematical topological rule was proposed to plot the predominance area diagram.Based on the phase rules,the components of In-S-O system were analyzed and the coexisting points of three condensed phases were determined.Combined with the topological rules and thermody namic calculation,four relation diagrams between the coexisting points of three condensed phases,which were denoted as α,β stable plane-topological diagram and unstable plane-topological diagram,were plotted for the In-S-O system.The results show that α stable plane topological diagram is in accordance with the predominance area diagram of In-S-O system plotted by traditional methods,which indicates that the new method is feasible to plot the predominance area diagram of In-S-O system.Meanwhile,β unstable plane-topological diagram can be used to elucidate the indium production with the bath smelting process.展开更多

Supplying many scientific effective computing models, decision support ways and a lot of accurate reliable decision data, the DSS plays a critical part in helping engineering researchers to make correct decisions. Because the period for developing the DSS is relatively shorter, the new way improves the efficiency of establishing DSS greatly. We find that the B-S approach can be consistently applied to study the diqaurks with two heavy quarks or one heavy and one light quarks, but for two light-quark systems, the results are not reliable. There are a few free parameters in the whole scenario which can only be fixed phenomenologically. Thus, to determine them, one has to study baryons which are composed of quarks and diquarks.展开更多

S surface controllers have been proven to provide effective motion control for an autonomous underwater vehicle (AUV).However, it is difficult to adjust their control parameters manually.Choosing the optimum parameter...S surface controllers have been proven to provide effective motion control for an autonomous underwater vehicle (AUV).However, it is difficult to adjust their control parameters manually.Choosing the optimum parameters for the controller of a particular AUV is a significant challenge.To automate the process, a modified particle swarm optimization (MPSO) algorithm was proposed.It was based on immune theory, and used a nonlinear regression strategy for inertia weight to optimize AUV control parameters.A semi-physical simulation system for the AUV was developed as a platform to verify the proposed control method, and its structure was considered.The simulation results indicated that the semi-physical simulation platform was helpful, the optimization algorithm has good local and global searching abilities, and the method can be reliably used for an AUV.展开更多

However, in the recent papers there were proposed physically realizable systems that possess, in their phas...For a long time it was a common opinion that hyperbolic attractors are artificial mathematical constructions. However, in the recent papers there were proposed physically realizable systems that possess, in their phase space, the set with features that are very similar to hyperbolic type of attractors. As is known, invariant sets are called hyperbolic attractors of the dynamical system if they are closed, topologically transitive subsets, and every their trajectory possesses uniform hyperbolicity. Very familiar types of the hyperbolic attractors are Smale-Williams' solenoid and Plykin's attractor. Further, it is well known that chaotic systems are very sensitive to the external perturbations. This property is used for controlling nonlinear systems and chaos suppression. Thus, an important question arises: Is it possible to suppress chaos in systems with hyperbolic attractors because these attractors are structurally stable subsets? In the present contribution we study the possibility of stabilization of chaotic oscillations in systems with the Smale-Williams hyperbolic attractors by means of the Pyragas method with a delay. It is shown that by means of external perturbation the dynamical system could be controllable: the hyperbolic attractor degenerates into a periodic one.展开更多

The purpose of using neuralnetworks is mainly to get basic probability assignment ( BPA) of D-S evidence theory, and the neuralnetworks in feature level are used for local diagnosis. D-S evidence theory is adopted to integratethe local diagnosis results in decision level. METHODS: We constructed bait plasmid expressing complete S protein of HBV ...AIM: To investigate the biological function of complete S protein and to look for proteins interacting with complete S protein in hepatocytes. METHODS: We constructed bait plasmid expressing complete S protein of HBV by cloning the gene of complete S protein into pGBKT7, then the recombinant plasmid DNA was transformed into yeast AH109 (a type). The transformed yeast AH109 was mated with yeast Y187 (α type) containing liver cDNA library plasmid in 2×YPDA medium. Diploid yeast was plated on synthetic dropout nutrient medium (SD/-Trp-Leu-His-Ade) containing X-α-gal for selection and screening. After extracting and sequencing of plasmids from positive (blue) colonies, we underwent sequence analysis by bioinformatics. RESULTS: Nineteen colonies were selected and sequenced. Among them, five colonies were Homo sapiens solute carrier family 25, member 23 (SLC25A23), one was Homo sapiens calrer.iculin, one was human serum albumin (ALB) gene, one was Homo sapiens metallothionein 2A, two were Homo sapiens betaine-homocysteine methyltransferase, three were Homo sapiens Na+ and H+coupled amino acid transport system N, one was Homo sapiens CD81 antigen (target of anti-proliferative antibody 1) (CD81), three were Homo sapiens diazepam binding inhibitor, two colonies were new genes with unknown function. CONCLUSION: The yeast-two hybrid system is an effective method for identifying hepatocyte proteins interacting with complete S protein of HBV. The complete S protein may bind to different proteins i.e., its multiple functions in vivo.展开更多
