First, a discrete-time 2-D T-S fuzzy model is proposed to represent the underlying nonlinear 2-D system. Second, new quadratic stabilization conditions are proposed by applying relaxed quadratic stabilization technique for 2-D case. Third, for sake of further reducing conservatism, new non-quadratic stabilization conditions are also proposed by applying a new parameter-dependent Lyapunov function, matrix transformation technique, and relaxed technique for the underlying discrete-time 2-D T-S fuzzy system. Finally, a numerical example is provided to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed results.展开更多

Lake Qaroun represents heavily polluted wild habitat for both studied fish species, Tilapia zillii and Solea aegyptiaca, the most abundant species. Results revealed deterioration in water quality (low dissolved oxygen but high ammonia, nitrite, copper, lead and cadmium) of Northeastern sector where El-Bats drain discharge its effluents without prior treatment followed by that of eastern sector at four km from the point of El-Bats discharge. Water salinity and dissolved oxygen values were in the following order: Western lake Qaroun sector > Eastern lake Qaroun sector > Northeastern lake Qaroun sector. However, Ammonia and nitrite readings were in the following order: Northeastern sector of Lake Qaroun is followed by the Eastern sector, then the Western sector. Moreover, results of the present field study revealed a decrease in fish production with the lowest condition factor and a deterioration in meat quality (an increase in muscle water content and ash but a decrease total protein and total lipids) in case of fish collected from the polluted sites along the lake (Northeastern and eastern sectors). However, fish collected from the unpolluted western sector of the lake showed condition factor and chemical muscle composition more or less similar to normal healthy fish.展开更多

In this study, a nonlinear stochastic model is proposed to describe the dynamics of CO2 emission with control inputs: clean technology, reforestation and carbon tax, under stochastic uncertainties. For the efficient resources management, a robust tracking control is designed to force resources tracking a desired reference output. The worst-case effect of stochastic parametric fluctuations, external disturbances and uncertain initial conditions on the tracking performance is considered and minimized from the dynamic game theory perspective. This stochastic game problem, in which one player (stochastic uncertainty) maximizes the tracking error and another player (control input) minimizes the tracking error, could be equivalent to a robust minimax tracking problem. To avoid solving the HJI, a fuzzy model is proposed to approximate the nonlinear CO2 emission model. Then the nonlinear stochastic game problem could be easily solved by fuzzy stochastic game approach via LMI technique.展开更多

We examined T cell responses to myelin basic protein (MBP) and myelin proteolipid protein (PLP) using an enzyme linked immunospot (ELISPOT) assay by enumerating mononuclear cells (MNC) that in blood and cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) secreted the cytokine interferon γ (IFN γ) spontaneously and after short time culture of the cells in presence of MBP or PLP. These myelin components are supposed to induce autoaggressive immunity in multiple sclerosis. MBP and PLP reactive IFN γ secreting cells were detected in patients with AD and, for comparison, in patients with other non inflammatory neurological diseases(OND) and patients with tension type headache (TH). Elevated levels of MBP and PLP reactive IFN γ secreting cells were found in blood in AD patients compared to OND and TH, such cells in AD patients were further enriched in CSF. Levels of MBP reactive as well as spontaneously IFN γ secreting cells in CSF were about 180 fold and 250 fold higher than in blood of AD patients, and also higher than the corresponding data in OND(30 fold and 20 fold) and in TH (120 fold and 20 fold). It is unclear whether the autoreactive T cell responses to MBP and PLP, especially accumulated in CSF, have any importance for the pathogenesis of AD.展开更多
